Just a reminder to everyone - and this isn’t directed at any one in particular as we’ve all been guilty lately - this thread is for posting of deals. We’ve been lax with the cross talk lately, but as the holidays approach, and potential deals come around, let’s keep it to a minimum. Instead, I encourage you to check out all the other forums we have. There’s a topic for just about every set out there. And if there’s not, create one! We have topics on speculating what’s going to retire, investment strategies, clearance at individual stores. Please go check them out. Thank you!18 points

Your question has been answered 100x over on this site. Different people have different needs and different investing strategies. This forum is clearly aimed at deals that pop up on occasion. I'm a little pissed I'm posting THIS in THIS forum. Because it doesn't belong here.7 points

This should be stickied. Great reminder right now, especially with the new members, but a day from now nobody will remember it unless it’s the first thing they see when entering this thread. Deal season is here!4 points

I get various offers like that, but, until Amazon lets me send inventory to a US location that can be used for worldwide fulfillment and makes the whole tax collection as simple as possible, I have no interest.4 points

In our circles, usually LEGOLAND. In Superman’s circles, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, Lana Lang, Lori Lemaris....3 points

Picked up a bunch of 75240 Major Vonreg Tie Fighter today from local Targets. Got them to price match Amazon at $51.79. After Red Card discount, sales tax and $10 GC's they came out to $42.15 each, 40% off.3 points

Not sure how old they are. I've used them twice without any major issues. The edges on the flaps can be a bit wonky occasionally but nothing that isn't easy to fix.1 point

I get that. When I speak of shady third-party sellers I am referring to sellers such as Toycentric that have no inventory and just drop ship from Ebay auctions. I'm wondering where the money is made off this sale if Amazon is selling it for $40 and it costs $50 to have it drop shipped from LEGO.1 point

The usual - the more money that eBay and PayPal lose to cover these refunds/protect the buyer/investigate this stuff, the more likely they raise their fees.1 point

I get people jumping on these Ebay deals that look incredible. But at a minimum, it ultimately increases costs, at some level or some venue, for others. At worst, you are funding some $hitbag that is taking advantage of others or an organized crime ring.1 point

Hmm, sold out of 52 total. Some buyers bought 10 at a time. If any of you is 1 of these buyers, feel free to post your experience in the Order Status thread1 point

Two lego sets in huge quantities and at a ridiculously low price, two pairs of shoes and some rulers. One feedback on anti flea & tick collar for dogs. Hmmm, I don't know ? It is a tough one to decide.1 point

Built and Gingerbread House and the Elf Clubhouse back-to-back. Overall, my feeling is that the Gingerbread House is the superior build, both in the process of building, the end-result, and the overall value. I like how the Gingerbread House had the chimney stack actually built into and integrated into the build of the main house. With the Elf Clubhouse, the chimney stack is built separately and just snapped onto the main house at the end. I also found the functions for the waffle dispenser and beds to wake up the elves unnecessary and gimmicky. The Elf Clubhouse was definitely more plain looking until the two strings up lights get put up. The tree for the Elf Clubhouse is much more substantial and heavier than the one in the Gingerbread House but who buys a set for the tree? I also don't care too much about the extras like the little gifts and stuff, that's just noise and wouldn't change my opinion of the overall builds. I felt $99 for the Gingerbread House was fair. It was an enjoyable build and very unique. I might be happier with the Elf Clubhouse if it were discounted some, even to $89 would have been better. I understand the set has a unique/exclusive Male Stag figure included which is more expensive to produce. 4 elf minifigures versus only the two Gingerbread minifigures. What are your thoughts? As you look at the two, $99 for either one, which one seems to be better?1 point

Snow coming in. So kids built some sets. 60226 & 41187 We are big elves fans. Building and selling. I see them as the holy grail of girls playsets. Looks good, more difficult building techniques, and awesome creature building. Plus they sell really nice!!! Mars shuttle is great as well. Bigger and better looking than expected.1 point

last time target did that i bought 30 ships in a bottle @ 55 patted myself on the back all year on that buy.. we know the end of that story plus... target banned me after that. and walmart did last week also. common denominator? multiple orders of lego that included egift cards. Im now 1000% sure that that was the cause. apparently egiftcard orders are scrutinized more likely for fraud reasons I can now buy by both again, but not going to press my luck. just a heads up not to go wild on the gc offer1 point

Great price for a great set, but its not going till end 2021 earliest so whats the point of tying up capital for 15 + months? IS it for shortages by retailers over that time period?0 points
