Built and Gingerbread House and the Elf Clubhouse back-to-back. Overall, my feeling is that the Gingerbread House is the superior build, both in the process of building, the end-result, and the overall value. I like how the Gingerbread House had the chimney stack actually built into and integrated into the build of the main house. With the Elf Clubhouse, the chimney stack is built separately and just snapped onto the main house at the end. I also found the functions for the waffle dispenser and beds to wake up the elves unnecessary and gimmicky. The Elf Clubhouse was definitely more plain looking until the two strings up lights get put up. The tree for the Elf Clubhouse is much more substantial and heavier than the one in the Gingerbread House but who buys a set for the tree? I also don't care too much about the extras like the little gifts and stuff, that's just noise and wouldn't change my opinion of the overall builds. I felt $99 for the Gingerbread House was fair. It was an enjoyable build and very unique. I might be happier with the Elf Clubhouse if it were discounted some, even to $89 would have been better. I understand the set has a unique/exclusive Male Stag figure included which is more expensive to produce. 4 elf minifigures versus only the two Gingerbread minifigures. What are your thoughts? As you look at the two, $99 for either one, which one seems to be better?9 points

They lost me a little with the Winter Village series - The first years were great, with the Cottage, the Bakery, the Post Office and such. I like the quaintness of a winter town under the Christmas tree. The Winter Village Market was ok, but Santa's Workshop didn't fit very well, and Gingerbread and Elf Clubhouse sadly continue that trend. For this year I am going to build Medieval Market Village instead and replace the roofs with snowy versions, and add that to the Cottage, Bakery, Post Office and Toy Store.3 points

If its number is actually 40410 then it's definitely a promo, that's the numbering series for other recent promo sets.2 points

Not sure I would call a set that gets to 3x RRP a stinker (hulk). Those are some pretty high standards haha. Belle and Elsa haven't gotten as high as I expected either, but like everything else, it is all about buy in price. I got about 20 of each, Belle, Elsa and Beast from the NEX price match once B&N clearanced them for $2.50 each.2 points

Your decision to sell FBA or FBM would involve the same criteria as anything else you sell.2 points

That’s my plan (someday) as well. I’ve had a MM sitting there for...7 years now? With the idea of doing exactly what you’re proposing. I agree with you about Santa’s House, etc. If space and budget were no issue, my plan would be to put this three up on a mountain plateau, overlooking the Winter Village.1 point

Figuring this out is all guesswork. I've sent items in, sold a few, and then found the rest of the inventory to be stranded. If you sell enough (well into 7 figures) you will have access to a rep that will take care of this stuff, otherwise this is Amazon's world and we are all squirrels just trying to get a nut. I haven't tried it yet, but Walmart has become a player in this now probably worth seeking out.1 point

I have some fond memories of this one building it with my little guy. I dropped it down a full flight of stairs once so that was fun. Horrible investment though. I dumped a few to get rid of them years ago. I still have my loose version somewhere...1 point

Picked up a bulk off FBM yesterday for $40. Grandma was moving on from her collection for the grandkids when they visited. Sifted through and already found figs and builds for 4488, 6207, 6207, 6209, 7659, 7657, 10184, & 70291 point

My guess is Black Friday. That's when the Christmas tree was offered last year. Only concern is it was on the Calendar as such last year. Doesn't make sense to offer it much later as people want to sell it, er, display it during the holidays.1 point

Hi, I just received an email from Amazon about a "dangerous goods (hazmat) review" for one of my Lego listings. ASIN B07BKLFFMN. Can anyone help me out with what needs to happen next to get this resolved? Thanks!1 point

It happens. I've had it fixed "once" and other times just have the CR tell me I need to get approval -- even though I have already been grandfathered in and have multiple active Lego listings. If you have "official" approval with submitted documents and all I would think its safe to contact a CR and get it fixed. If you are "grandfathered" in you might want to be more cautious and just wait it out. All lot of the time I check back after a time and it works. Amazon just makes me nervous to rock the boat. FYI, I get the same message when I try to list it.1 point

@brickohaulic I guess it depends on the figures. Some I thought that would be popular from series 1 have languished (like Belle and Beast), while selling $5 Captain Americas for $50 for awhile sure was nice, and I recently sold a grouping of the 3 original Harry Potter BH with the Hagrid one for $195. There are definitely completionists for these, and people who like certain IPs will be interested in the figures.1 point

Not the London Bus, so I woulda needed to hold on for another year at least or find a way to flip. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lego-minecraft-the-chicken-coop-21140/6203198.p?skuId=6203198 This one is on Stonewars list although not on Promobricks. /whoosh Changing total in the cart shows you how limited or unlimited an item’s stock is. Quoting the price of the max (999) is just being cheeky. But knowing whether there’s 9 units or 999 units is helpful.1 point

Snow coming in. So kids built some sets. 60226 & 41187 We are big elves fans. Building and selling. I see them as the holy grail of girls playsets. Looks good, more difficult building techniques, and awesome creature building. Plus they sell really nice!!! Mars shuttle is great as well. Bigger and better looking than expected.1 point

Feeling like a Halloween build, Hidden side castle was built. Not bad, makes a nice castle playset. Lots of stickers, some are pretty cool like the stained glass. Haven't yet opened the app to unlock and play this set level. at this time only Hidden side played was some of the ghost lab. Its just fine but I build Lego for the build not the apps too much.1 point

Muppet Show CMFs would be a great start. The old show and first couple movies were sooooo good. It's not surprising they can't make anything decent with them now. A show/movie with puppets that works well for kids and adults takes some genius talent. Henson was one in a billion. In the 70s Henson was happy to work with sesame Street. Now Disney wants megabucks to allow Kermit a cameo. Evil Empire.1 point
