Bought this to build and to see how I liked it as a display piece, and now that its built its a hard set to imagine parting ways with. Really captures the feel of Mos Eisley! Also its a little bigger than I expected and a tad crammed on my shelf, but it works! Unfortunately I cannot open the cantina due to lack of space 😅10 points

these were available for shop at home for more than 3 months at $7.50 during double vip + promos. i bought way too many. after 3 years, i have sold 8 at $24.99. now the price is down to $19.99 and only heading lower now, these are crazy slow sellers on amazon. even worse than the LEGO VIP promo.lol. i lost more money on fba storage and then return fees than i ever made on these the 1 time i was stupid enough to send these in to FBA. IPI wrecker. i donated 12 last year and have way too many sitting on a shelf to flood the market the second they make it back to $24.99. good luck with these.3 points

I came across mine the other day when I was sorting some sets along with a few others I planned to build. Not sure how long I'll keep them until I realize I probably won't ever get around to building them and should just sell them.1 point

Just to add to this... I recently had a sale, and I received a message just after being picked up that the address was incorrect. USPS has a "package intercept" option, and I tried it for the first time. I was given the options of returning to sender or hold at local post office for pickup. I paid ~$15 for original shipping, package intercept is $14.65 + additional ~$9 postage to send to the closest post office for pickup (30 mins away from incorrect address). So total shipping costs to have this corrected was near $39. Quite a rip, in my opinion. It does indeed sound like the buyer's fault for misunderstanding the "no longer available" email.1 point

Not precisely, but If you review offers on the item, you will see the offers you sent (id's hidden), but you will see how many feedbacks those users have. If the new offer you received feedback number matches the same number of feedbacks on the offer sent user - than it is likely the same user.1 point

This is correct. I was able to get in three orders of two each. Hopefully they don’t get cancelled. I got the same email alert but they went quick. The good news is that they keep popping back in and out of stock.1 point

I have a Zebra that I could never get to work with my Mac. From what I've read, it seems most people can't get this to work properly or at least it was a lot of trouble. It's a been a few years, but I couldn't get CUPS to work either. How did you go about getting it to work with your Mac?1 point

Received my 2 Shanghai sets from WM today I bought on 10/15 for $42.97 each. They sent 2 LEGO shipping boxes w/ 3 sets in each box. Not going to complain. I like sets that cost $15.50 each.1 point

For the members who are fairly new and dont' know this forum.. most of the longtime members here have provided fairly honest information. There really isn't much of the bs trying to hurt the competition here. From sharing codes/coupons for shipping materials, dealing with SNAD cases from ebay, walmart clearance, dealing with scammers, all the information I have received from posts or PMs have been immensely useful. For those who feel this forum is full of arrogant false spewing info, they should just go to another forum... my two cents... Also redcell is a koolkat!1 point

One thing to realize is that the list of sets retiring is fluid throughout the year. There are typically a few specific points during the year when changes are made, but they can adjust their production/marketing schedule at any time like they did a few weeks ago with the Harry Potter sets. Unless you have a pipeline directly to the executives at The Lego Group who are making these decisions or someone else internal that has access to them, nothing is written in stone until a set can no longer be ordered.1 point

I had one of those happen few years ago, expensive set sent UPS. Was up when they opened it and then gone it took so long to process (went after the 6 months UPS had up). In that case they did cover it and said in future to print a second UPS label and just save it. Said a copy of an actual shipping label will do in those situations which you usually wouldn't have either. Might of changed since then but what happened on mine. Also good if you use a listing software at time that stores all the old stuff. The trackings still won't be there but you do get some more information like ship date, tracking, postage paid usually and sometimes delivered on certain ones. Lot of loopholes out there right now they are being abused.1 point
