  1. Bought this lot off of OfferUp for $60 because I noticed a "Buckingham Palace" tile in one of the bags in the picture. It ended up being Buckingham Palace, The Louvre, White House (original), and Flintstones set... all 100% complete, without instructions.

  2. IMO - Just the thought of building this 10,000 piece set feels like torture.

  3. I believe it says SPQR. From Wikipedia: SPQR, an abbreviation for Senātus Populusque Rōmānus, is an emblematic abbreviated phrase referring to the government of the ancient Roman Republic. It appears on Roman currency, at the end of documents made public by an inscription in stone or metal, and in dedications of monuments and public works. The last phrase seems particularly relevant here.

  11. the original submission was a lego rendition of a vintage toy which i still have. the actual set is a watered down facade which will check the minifigure boxes and won't break bank . whereas i would have bought the submitted modular hinge closing set, the actual one being put on sale is weak . like mathew i wonder if sesame street has much cultural relevance even though hbo paid for exclusive rights. seems like the air went out of the tires after the kevin clash fiasco.

  12. it did win best set since 2000 or something like that from one of the mainstream 3rd party LEGO sites (Brickset) Also it's Ninjago's version of modulars...with a 3rd one coming up...if Harry potter Hogwarts modulars are any indication...LEGO has already set a precedence of wanting to keep older ones on shelves longer (to spur sales of the newer ones, assuming)...just a thought at a potential rationale

  13. As someone argued elsewhere, its target are kids to play with it. Most parents won't be paying for a 200 Dollars/Euros set to let their Sesame Street aged kids play with. So the move by LEGO to simplify it and make it more affordable, will be very effective to sell more sets. Definitely a lot more than the original submission would sell. On the other hand, this is not what the 10k voters for the Ideas submission voted for ...

  14. Shout out to the free USPS boxes...most are not great, but the PO7 12x12x8 is a rock star for smaller stuff going by priority mail.

  15. I just checked out the image on instagram and... It's awesome, I never expected it to be a modular plus a bunch of original figures, you've got to find a balance of affordability for people. Most of the action of the show takes place on the street anyways.

  24. Go to "Payments" tab, and on the left side click "Reports". You should be able to download transaction report as csv file for a specific range of time. The report has detailed breakdown of fees for each transaction. Although it does not have Item Name, just Item ID Everyone should send Comments to eBay asking them to add Item Name to these reports. Use the "Comments" link on the upper right of the page. They should be able to add Item Name very easily to the reports and if everyone send them a message they might do it quickly too
