  1. Building instructions can be downloaded from the LEGO website.

  2. Started using Reddit recently to pick up some news and interesting info on several topics (some non-LEGO). I don't understand the crowd there - people just downvote without any comments, even when it's a neutral comment clearly showing I spent my time researching an answer. SMH Makes me appreciate this community so much.....

  3. Reddit rewards groupthink. If you tell people exactly what they want to hear you will get internet points. Even if you make a correct well thought out statement, you will get railroaded if it goes against that groupthink. If you want Reddit points you must hate America, hate Trump, hate capitialism, hate America again, etc. Here is an upvote from me for realizing that reading further than the initial post on Reddit is pointless.

  4. These two sets look exceptional. Everyone keeps saying how much a dumpster fire 2020 has been. I suppose I couldnt argue with that, however, one plus side of the whole lock down and canceling of SDCC is being able to get some of these epic sets.

  7. Interesting this one doesn’t say anything about the “event” like the Bespin duel set did.

  10. I've never commented in a Reddit thread, however your experience reminds me very much of the Stack Overflow community. Don't dare ask a question over there that someone may have answered 5+ years ago in a long buried thread with an abstract title that you can't find. Because they will find it and post it in your thread very quickly and then down vote you for asking a question that has already been answered.

  12. I haven't built anything with LEGO in months, so these were a nice way to break that streak. I really enjoy the variety of colors and the combinations of different shapes. They really look like their source material. I just wanted these CMFs and I have no plans to build any of the sets from this series, so check back with me in 6 months to see my entire set up when I have inevitably purchased everything...

  17. Mine is still there....all the signs up and everything. It just stares at me taunting me. Im lucky that the manager let me take the entire Lego department displays when it closed. I even have the Lego canvas curtains they hung over the top stock and even the red Lego sign that hung over the section.

  19. Another canceled SDCC set has been revealed. This appears to be the only box art that actually got the SDCC 2020 tag. I like that alone for investment. The build is better than average too with great figs.

  20. I get it, I work in I.T. and they've saved my butt more times then I can count. However, the issues I stated have stopped me from being more active.

  25. Very awesome! Thank you for posting. Now for the speculation. The frigate is 459 pieces - 55% more than Bespin Duel which sold for $40. IDK about all of you but I just felt a disturbance in my wallet. I hope it's not more than $50 ea. Surely it can't be as much as the helmets which have another 50% more pieces than the frigate.

  26. Prime Day coming soon. I have this sneaky suspicion that the reason Amazon raised their prices on some sets like the Treehouse way over MSRP. which is unusual for them, is to preserve stock for a deal come prime day. Maybe it'll be discounted 20%? That would be amazing. All speculation I know I know...

  35. Thanks. Cancelled my second order. Technic sets in general, and this one in particular have a really slow sell through rate. It's a great price but a pass for me. Nothing worse then super slow selling sets.

  39. Mercari has been ok for me. I haven't sold a ton on there, but every once in a while they have seller promotions such as the aforementioned no selling fees in collectibles category, or list 8 items and get a coupon for $25 off a $100 purchase. I try to take advantage of those when I can. The main benefit to Mercari had been the flat 10% fee they charge, but starting on 1 Oct they will be adding 2.9% payment processing fee and $.30 transaction fee, so they will be just the same as Ebay. Honestly, I don't see how they will survive after increasing their fees, there will no longer be an incentive to sell there instead of Ebay and they have much lower traffic. The only benefit I guess would be to spread out sales through different payment processors to below the 20k/year tax reporting requirements.

  42. Pieced these together from a $40 lot. Surprisingly, there were not many missing pieces. As far as I can tell, there is still one 3368 can be built from the lot and a couple of small Star Wars sets. A couple of castle figs were also found including the king and two armored horses.
