  1. I received the 75192 Millennium Falcon I ordered from Harrod's last week. This is how big stuff should be shipped. The Lego shipper inside is immac ulate. And basically 30% off RRP after tax savings and cash back. This is packaging excellence.

  2. The lady reached out to me again yesterday. She said she’s moving next week, has no time or desire to sell the remaining Lego stuff, and asks if I’d like them for free. Ummm…yes please! I passed on these when I bought all their modulars last week. This is what she was asking for them: 10178 Motorized AT-AT: $125 10144 Sandcrawler: $125 2556 Formula 1 Ferrari with unused sticker sheet: $50 8671 Ferrari 430 Spider: $40 Loose Technic (previously pictured): $60 This will reduce my buy-in for the modulars nicely. Woohoo!

  3. Ebay telling me there’s a 20% drop in LEGO sales compared to this time last year. I’d be wary of stocking up too much for Christmas. It might be a very quiet one...

  6. It took me more than 6 weeks to get fully refunded from my disaster that showed up in august, when it’s good it’s good, but it’s a complete nightmare dealing with their customer service and to say they are incompetent is an understatement...best form of comms IMO is Facebook messenger...

  7. Air pillows are probably great for shipping certain items but not boxed LEGO sets. If there is outer pressure on the shipping box, the air pillows will crush the LEGO box. I've seen this more times than I can count. People think they are doing a good job by cramming as many air pillows into a shipping box as possible.

  14. I guess its never really bothered me that much. When you used the word hate, I was only joking about going full ninja turtle. Apologies if came across the wrong way. To me its sorta like a helicopter in any city scenes, its almost expected at this point that a Christmas set will get a Christmas tree.

  15. Just got this info from a reliable seller, a truthful source, he simply forwarded an official statement of TLG's ambassador network regarding another market-crashing re-release of one the most successful sets of all time. At this point, I'm really worried this might be the last shot to finish this forum & the whole community off. This might be it! The statement is as following: "Due to high demand & popularity, significance in the LEGO world & as a service to our fans we are proud to anounce we'll be re-launching set number 75119 - "Jyn Erso" from the Star Wars line. The set will be available again December 1st online on LEGO Shop at Home or at your local stores. The arrangements with The Walt Disney Company remain the same, they still get their 70% in licensing fees."

  16. I bought a UCS AT-ST and a few other sets from a lady four years ago. Her sons had more Lego (no mention of what sets) at the time but didn’t want to sell them yet. I told her to keep my number handy when her sons decide they’re ready to sell. Out of nowhere, she reached out to me this weekend asking if the phone number still belongs to me, and that her sons are ready to sell more Lego. She sent me four pictures. The first two were meh, but the last two were… I didn’t get them for a song as her sons checked eBay for market value. I don’t know how they came up to these numbers, but they asked $300 for Café Corner and $200 each for Green Grocer, Town Hall, Fire Brigade, and Grand Emporium. I ended up talking them down to $1020 for all five. I’m in the middle of washing the pieces, but from what I can tell so far, most, if not all, of the pieces are there along with the minifigures. Even though I’m not into modulars, it’s kind of exciting seeing Green Grocer and Café Corner in my possession. I have sealed sets of the others, so the rest don’t do much for me.
