  1. The lady reached out to me again yesterday. She said she’s moving next week, has no time or desire to sell the remaining Lego stuff, and asks if I’d like them for free. Ummm…yes please! I passed on these when I bought all their modulars last week. This is what she was asking for them: 10178 Motorized AT-AT: $125 10144 Sandcrawler: $125 2556 Formula 1 Ferrari with unused sticker sheet: $50 8671 Ferrari 430 Spider: $40 Loose Technic (previously pictured): $60 This will reduce my buy-in for the modulars nicely. Woohoo!

  4. I went in on the Harvester Transport in a big way since it had a short run and was farming themed. Maybe this will give my sales of those a boost. I need it...

  8. At 6.5 points per dollar, the 15,600 point redemption gives you $2400 shoes. I took my chances with the VIP and Addias app lottery I did this backwards... 650 redeems for $5.. not you redeem 15600 at the value of 6.5 is worth a dollar. Thanks for the clarity

  9. All of these VIP sweepstakes have got to be the best use of VIP points for LEGO. Instead of giving discount on purchase and lose $5-$100 from each transaction, LEGO just entice people to spend their points for a chance to get one thing that cost $1 to make

  11. I finished the set 2 weeks ago. Followed the directions 99%. Really cool build. Will likely have a UCS release w/in 18 months I bet. Just couldn’t bring myself to having the carbonite chamber so close to the sleeping quarters. The top escape hatch was a really cool play feature added by Lego. Also likes that extra light goes into the cargo area when it’s removed.

  12. If some new rumors are true, we'll be seeing a zoo ($159) and a farm ($129) in 2021. I would like a farm city sub-theme over a single farm set but given the possible size of a $129 set this could still be exciting. I saw this on instagram. With some other similar 2021 rumors recently, StoneWars has posted something within a few days after instagram, so I'll be watching for that as a confirmation. Also, Cruise Ship ($69), Cabin ($49), and Royal Carriage ($39).

  13. Send a message. File a claim with amazon. Deduct money for sure, but CYA with a paper trail. I’ve had this happen several times FBA, where half the bags were missing. Always communicate through amazons system.

  18. I've been pushing for a zoo for years. I think it would be a great sub-theme. Elephant Enclosure Big cat (lions, panthers, Tiger) area Monkey / Gorilla forest Polar Bear Experience Giraffe Prairie (give us a damn giraffe!) Aquarium Aviary Prarie Dog plains Bear Country USA!!!! You could add 3 or 4 sets, various price points, for 3 or 4 years.

  19. I got several of those harvester transports and forest tractors as they were as close as I could get to farming. It's been over 10 years now since the last farm sub-theme, I believe. Meanwhile we've had a couple recent artic sub-themes.

  20. I hope so, I've be crying out for a farm for years and it's well overdue. If it happens, this could be a sub-theme to go big on..... if the price is right of course! Stonewars has been pretty good recently.

  21. A lot could be done with that money over 2-3 years. Reinvest once it's close to going again. Money can still be made on it now too. I would not sit on a pile for 2 years, that's dead money. A decent comparison is the 2010 Shuttle. The 10231 Shuttle was improved over the 10213 but it didn't change the aftermarket price much. Boxes were the same outside of the different number and the adventurer/expedition name. I don't think they will change the box on the Apollo. Were there any flaws in the apollo that needed addressing?

  25. How long do we think this has? I really want it and it's currently available for £240 but it's bad timing as I just bought a bunch of Lego. Arrrgh!

  26. Some members have expressed trepidation with ordering large sets from Zavvi. Although I've ordered from them numerous times in the past, I hesitated ordering a UCS ISD from them when they had the $609 sell last week. But then I said "What the hell?" and ordered. It arrived today in a LEGO mailer and it was immaculate. That's about 20 sets from them that have all arrived unharmed. I'm not going to hesitate with Zavvi again.

  27. Not directly related to this video but just putting the clues together: I have a feeling there is a certain raised probability to see Gringotts released as an add-on to Diagon Alley in 2021. Maybe this has already been talked about in this thread, I didn't read it all. At least to me, it looks totally dumb to leave the most popular building out of Diagon Alley - unless you release it separately at a later stage. Someone got the same feeling?

  30. I've had tons of ebay/paypal fraud in the past 2 months. Nearly every week I have one. A set gets bought then the buyer says they didn't buy the item. I've gotten to where I message the buyer to confirm their intend to buy. I've had about a dozen fraud cases in the past couple months. I finally reached out to eBay to see exactly how I should handle it. They said to keep reaching out to people because that helps if the thief has not taken over the buyer's email as well. Usually the do take over the email account so usually this doesn't fix the problem. Ebay acknowledged that they have had a uptick in fraud. They are blaming Covid. Saying more people are at home. They are bored and many are jobless, hence leading to more theft/fraud. Just wanted to share what I learned. Good news is that as long as you have tracking and you do things correct the buyer would be protected with seller protection. But be sure you have tracking on the item. Also, always make the buyer file a case with eBay fraud. Never refund them the money directly. This is what they told me.

  37. Working on the Land Rover currently, and I made a mistake in it that I think was resolved pretty quickly (flipped a particular insert and proceeded to build around it). Making a mistake in a Lego set is no biggie really, making a mistake in Technic almost feels catastrophic.

  38. I would keep those other ones and sell your sealed ones. And why is it that people who are not into modulars land my white whales all the time, and I can't get a deal below $700 each on them?

  40. Frank Brickowski, Posted September 21, 2019: "Anyone else here got the same strange feeling that our super-popular Ideas Saturn V 21309 will indeed retire - but only to be brought back immediately as a Creator Expert set? I mean, nowadays everything seems possible for TLG when it comes to (making money with) remakes and re-releases. I think there are some good arguments for this to happen: a) Why bury one of the best-selling (and most well-designed) sets of all time for good after just 2 years, for no "real" reason (= just because the Ideas philosophy "demands" it) - after all, TLG is in it for the money, isn't it? b) Conveniently LEGO also has a cooperation running with NASA anyway, so there's virtually no licensing-related effort needed to make Creator Expert Saturn V happen. c) A non-Ideas continuation of 21309 would also raise LEGO's profits for every set sold in the future (no more fees for the fan designer). d) They could just have extended the Ideas set one additional year (as has been done before with other Ideas sets) - but it doesn't seem like they did. Hm ..."
