Made a 4ft square table out of wood and put it in my basement. Finished the Astronomy Tower and added it to the Great Hall, Whomping Willow and Clock Tower Sets. Ive set up a small track for the Hogwarts Express that loops around the 4 larger sets that have been recently released for the line. My 5 and 3 year old girls love it even if they haven't seen any of the movies and we have yet to read them the books. I figure it will be a seasonal table we can swap out a display. After Halloween, i'll be turning it into my Winter Village setup. Later today Ill try and get a picture of what we have so far, but its very "played with" and not as pretty, but it makes me glad they they're happy.7 points

A long, long time ago, in LEGO magazine far, far away.... Vader’s SSD showed up in the catalog, and retired less than a week after it was published.5 points

Unfortunately, it was listed as sold out last week, too. This is where I would insert a link to Backstreet Boys' "Quit Playing Games with my Heart," but I'm sure you all have that song easily accessible on your own PCs, so I won't eat up space here.2 points

Glad I didn't get a box. I just ordered a set too. Not sure why I continue to collect these. I guess when you start, you can't stop. I do not even like Harry Potter2 points

First, quoting yourself in a comment that you've just made is damn impressive. More impressive, is that somehow the quote of yourself was posted before the actual post was made. It's damn near inception. Second, Lego CS is amazing and they keep unbanning me. I appreciate their oversight and look forward to 6 more of these arriving.2 points

That may be, but this is a bit different than something like that. Until they start going full production on these small promotional type of things, I would still put money that it won't be long before these are gone for good.1 point

This wording seems to be carefully wordsmithed to suggest exclusivity without actually stating it. The statement makes no mention of limited, exclusive, or even rare/...or even LEGO's fave: "Hard to find"1 point

everyone who thought this promo sucked was wrong. going for $90 on amazon and rising on a daily basis and we're not even into october. it easily breaks $100 by November. ebay sellers should adjust their price accordingly to avoid or allow for becoming amazon fbm dropship meat.1 point

I know that not everybody has the past sets that already have Christmas trees, but I wish they would stop including them. I hate building them and they don't add to the main build. They could just do an accessory pack for these things.1 point

Chris McVeigh designed the set. From his interview: Q: What is your favorite element of this set? The reindeer, which is all-new with this set! I like to call her Brixen.1 point

So, this is live... No GWP? I’m nervous if I buy my limit two right now, Then I will miss out on any future GWP’s. And, I’ve been 100% wrong every time this year on the QF. so...1 point

Working on the Land Rover currently, and I made a mistake in it that I think was resolved pretty quickly (flipped a particular insert and proceeded to build around it). Making a mistake in a Lego set is no biggie really, making a mistake in Technic almost feels catastrophic.1 point

Just got this info from a reliable seller, a truthful source, he simply forwarded an official statement of TLG's ambassador network regarding another market-crashing re-release of one the most successful sets of all time. At this point, I'm really worried this might be the last shot to finish this forum & the whole community off. This might be it! The statement is as following: "Due to high demand & popularity, significance in the LEGO world & as a service to our fans we are proud to anounce we'll be re-launching set number 75119 - "Jyn Erso" from the Star Wars line. The set will be available again December 1st online on LEGO Shop at Home or at your local stores. The arrangements with The Walt Disney Company remain the same, they still get their 70% in licensing fees."1 point

just speaking to a friend of mine who works at lego HQ, he said the reason they are retiring the hidden side theme, is they are going to re-release the entire theme under a new theme called 'Lego Hidden Side'. all the same sets just with different numbers they expect sales to increase substantially within this new theme.1 point

I actually like the inside of the ears being the inside of a brick - It isn't trying to not appear to be made of lego, so to me it just looks natural.1 point
