Working on the Land Rover currently, and I made a mistake in it that I think was resolved pretty quickly (flipped a particular insert and proceeded to build around it). Making a mistake in a Lego set is no biggie really, making a mistake in Technic almost feels catastrophic.

Agreed. It's been a bad week for me with saturn/ship and now this. I try to stick to the most popular sets but apparently too popular is too high of a risk now. You can be sure a lot of big players have been making tons of orders and circumventing the limits. So to me this is super clearly a new production of 1000's. Only question is: Is additional 5k run? 10k? or another 2 years worth of them..... I'd love to be wrong here

If you use another card, checking out as a guest, under a different name, with a different email address... the algorithm lets it pass even if it to the same address. Received 3 from the original release. Ordered 3 on the last backorder with one dog as the recipient... ordered another 3 with this backorder with the other dog as the recipient. No cancelations on the backorder from the 17th, none yet today.

I would just do a search and request to join some of the higher member and post count groups. I personally am in Lego only Sale in USA, Lego Trading, Selling, and Buying USA, and a few others. Hopefully you get a hit and find someone local and can work that way. Because everyone is pretty much versed in buying and selling, you won't get maximum dollar for it, but you'll probably be able to move it all in one shot as long as it's priced right. Goodluck! I bought a UCS AT-ST and a few other sets from a lady four years ago. Her sons had more Lego (no mention of what sets) at the time but didn’t want to sell them yet. I told her to keep my number handy when her sons decide they’re ready to sell. Out of nowhere, she reached out to me this weekend asking if the phone number still belongs to me, and that her sons are ready to sell more Lego. She sent me four pictures. The first two were meh, but the last two were… I didn’t get them for a song as her sons checked eBay for market value. I don’t know how they came up to these numbers, but they asked $300 for Café Corner and $200 each for Green Grocer, Town Hall, Fire Brigade, and Grand Emporium. I ended up talking them down to $1020 for all five. I’m in the middle of washing the pieces, but from what I can tell so far, most, if not all, of the pieces are there along with the minifigures. Even though I’m not into modulars, it’s kind of exciting seeing Green Grocer and Café Corner in my possession. I have sealed sets of the others, so the rest don’t do much for me.
