While it's not as bad a display piece as Cloud City or the Hoth, it's still a set that you'd have to get up close to see and identify the characters before knowing what it is. Not as easily recognizable as the UCS ships. It's missing the wolf man. Therefore I don't believe this is CEO credenza worthy, only home office pressed wood desk worthy.5 points

Sets I had zero intention of buying this week... Boba Fett buildable for $29.99 and Boba Fett helmet for $25.5 points

Me: So excited to receive the new Diagon Alley set, I am so looking forward to surprising the family! Family: That's nice, but maybe you should just wait to see if it sells over the holidays. Me:4 points

Still managed to grab a Treehouse at $183 just now, so they are still popping up every now and then. Didn't know I needed one3 points

Not something to flip/resell, but I recently bought Star Bricks' TS-Project MOC instructions. I'm sourcing bricks from my bulk and Bricklink now. Thankfully, I found one of the more expensive parts in a bulk buy I bought nine years ago. It's a black 8x8 radar inverted radar dish (3961) where the lowest Bricklink price is $16. The MOC is 3000+ pieces. Wish me luck!3 points

I agree. The HP sets do these scenes much better and for me, spreading my $99 purchases over 5 sets that link together is pretty awesome. I do enjoy Star Wars, but we have seen so many replica sets now, it all seems bland. Im sure HP will get that way, but at least there was some time between the last release and not an annual thing.2 points

As mentioned in daily deals, these are 60% off in-store at Best-Buy. Shelf tags might not reflect it, but they scan $13 at the register.2 points

This set is going to be a winner when it retires. Iconic scene? Check. Beloved and highly regarded film? Check. Aesthetically pleasing and mobile design? Check. Lots of first-time minifigures? Check. Yeah, calling it now.2 points

Sebastion at Brickmoon.de sells the kits. Real good dude. You'll probably see a lot of kits you'd be interested in. He's very fairly priced imo. Looks like he has more U-Projects as well. Funny thing about Mirko at Starbricks. He will only sell a set amount of instructions for his projects. I know some vendors who have asked for more to sell kits and such but he is not interested in additional sales. He works at a printing press, hence the very nice instruction booklets, pics, etc.1 point

It appears Barnes and Noble is increasing in store clearance on sets that haven't sold yet. Picked up a couple Overwatch sets at 50% off. Bastion at $24.99 and D.Va at $19.99. Supposedly any set that was previously on clearance and over $20 retail should be 50% off now in store.1 point

Well they may be legit but I am not pleased with the way they do business and I consider them dishonest. I ordered a Hogwarts castle from them using the partyfor25 coupon. Deal went through. 48 hours later they cancel order with no explanation. So I lose out on deal and my coupon is no longer valid. And there is no way for me to criticize them on ebay. I will not order from them again. Very disappointing.1 point

All the ones I have gotten have been good. For me the best way is to order one set at a time so that they are shipped separately. A couple times I placed orders for multiple sets and Amazon crammed 3-4 sets in one shipping box with no packing and they arrived crushed.1 point

I bought the same instructions but I'm working on the U-Project right now. There's actually a guy in Germany (I think) that sells the whole kit at a great price.-1 point

One bit of advice. Don't look at Amazon prices to gauge market value. You will not get near those prices when selling due to several reasons...main reason being gated out of Amazon (you being unable to sell there). Your best bet is to look at sold listings on eBay (emphasis on sold) and subtract 14% and shipping costs from the average sold price. Be sure to look at used sets if your sets are built. This also assumes you have a decent seller feedback rating on eBay. Good luck!1 point

This was annoying until I realized you can pay for labels with pending funds.1 point

I just don't like these - I feel like you are just cobbling small sets together to make a big set. I was never enthused with Hoth And that has just set me against these "scene" sets. Just my feeling. And truly I am starting to get a felling they are stretching to get their next idea. I guess I will have to think about this for a while1 point

Target updated website to show "Save 10% on 100s of LEGO sets*" to reflect the reality. https://www.target.com/c/toy-deals/lego/-/N-55fjfZ56h5n1 point

Why not keep that account funded? I've got three backup accounts tied to my PayPal. I've never been hit with an NSF. There's always a source for funding.1 point

Shipping isn't going to be cheaper next week, or next year. Slower delivery time doesn't affect you, the seller. Your "time" value does not change at all with that variable from week to week. If this is your living, or a large part of it, there is much more "time" value in selling and re-investing quickly. Inventory space and lack of sales = no money1 point

Great set. Small but doesn't feel so over priced after it's built. $5 per minifig, a lot of trans-colored pieces as well as tiles, licensing fees and you can see where the pricing comes from. Quorra feels a little left out without her Light Runner though. The Lego Store had quite a few this afternoon when I stopped by. The only other people I saw buying were AFOL types.1 point

Looks like the Black Seas Barracuda from the 60 Years of the Brick promo fits quite well inside the bottle, by just removing the top of the masts (with the flags): source: http://zusammengebaut.com/lego-ideas-schiff-in-der-flasche-mit-mini-barracuda-auf-dem-weg-nach-braunschweig-43515/1 point
