Last week I had my first major score on Facebook Marketplace. I got all this stuff for $50. Very little in the way of instruction booklets for the Lego, (sadly no Saturn V manual) But the Villa Savoy was a happy surprise when I found it under the rocket when I got home as I'm a big Le Corbusier fan.

FBM has been very safe for me. No scams. No returns of any large sets. I've already sold more through July than I sold in 2019. Once you have a shipping station set up and prepackage the items you sell, it becomes very easy to move 30-40 shipments in a day all by yourself. I also personally drop off the shipments to UPS and post office which is a massive time saver in terms of getting item to customer since you cut out the time it takes for driver to come and get your stuff and then bring it to distribution centers. I have had zero returns this year for an item that didn't get there on time. A couple of times I had to e-coddle the customer with some back and forth messaging since amazon website does not show up to date tracking information compared to the USPS or UPS websites. I was 100% FBA in 2018 and 2019.

Trying to flip a monster sized box like this with shipping and insurance isn’t going to be much fun. If it hits double rrp like the haunted house, then maybe worth it but if stock numbers continue to improve you probably aren’t looking at much profit.

I also packaged up a 70743 Airjitsu and and 70600 Ninja Bike Chase for an $82.00 sale on a buy-in of $14.81. Sets purchased in 2016 and 2017. Selling expenses were $21.96 so return was 45.23 for an ROI over 300% I have a few more items listed on ebay as I prepare for the September Garage Sale (normally we do the sale in the Spring but the pandemic killed it this year.)

I ordered 1 11717 and someone in the Walmart warehouse got lazy and just sent me the sealed LEGO shipper it comes in, which holds 2 sets. I wondered why the package was so heavy.

I finally moved to a 1500 sq. ft warehouse unit. Not sure how i'm going to utilize 16 ft ceilings but we'll see. To my surprise... The insurance is 475$ dollars a year?!?! Best move of my life.

You are correct about the proper thread. However, I don't bad-mouth you asshats that are constantly bragging about the eBay favored buyers' discount so cut us some slack about being happy about saving roughly 75% off of a large, popular set. 😘 (It's all good.)

FBM is as safe as it's every been assuming you use ups or fedex. Which is sorta safe unless someone is determined to scam you.

You need to offset all that by the potential disastrous FBM shipping that might ensue if the elections go haywire, covid continues rearing its ugly head, and DeJoy continues his demolition of the USPS. All the refunds you will need to process because customers claim they didn't get their product, or didn't get their product on time. Neither FBM nor FBA are safe at this point.

This is from Offerup but thought I’d post it here in lieu of starting a new thread. I ordered some used Construction sets for the kids and the seller sent me an empty box or was just too incompetent to seal the bottom of the box. The top is still sealed with electrical tape around the label but the bottom has butterfly folds with no tape which easily unfold. USPS sent along this sticker. Advice?
