  3. Buyer orders item with 5-7 day economy shipping. Buyer receives item in 5 days. Buyer demands a partial refund because I didn't overnight the item to them, stating that I should have known they needed it ASAP and a professional seller would have upgraded their shipping free of charge.

  8. I'm pretty much brand new to brick picking. I got into it when I found a couple of nice Star Wars sets at a second hand store and looked up their values. I guess I always new that the bricks had value, but the idea of attempting to figure out if they were complete was off-putting. However, I realized that brick picking fits nicely with my current addiction to board game collecting (1000 games and counting!). Since then I've found some great deals for legos including a few free curbside pickups (one yesterday had 100 minifigs) and a like new 6073. I find the thrill of looking through large lots for pieces to be one of the main draws for me at this point. Thanks!

  9. Until you realize that the bottom half of the 60 pound lot is made up of roughly 50% LEGO, 30% cat hair, 15% dirt, and 5% dead bugs. Then it becomes a little less enjoyable. I also love the treasure hunt of going through bulk to seeing what's there, but I've found that I just don't have the time for it right now. I need to start working on shape recognition with my 2-year-old related to rarer pieces that are only in a few sets.

  13. this is all for immediate QFLL which goes for $50-$100...honestly, unless you're a youtuber that makes $ off posting set reviews...I don;t see the draw for getting these early...they will eventually be readily available at RRP for next 2 years

  14. Built the BB-8 Brick Sketch. A little more involved than the other two. Nice finished design, but still think it should have come with a minifig or have been priced lower. Stop Motion: https://www.tiktok.com/@bradtrainer/video/6862197828983328006

  15. Sorry, I couldn't resist given the Osprey debacle For immediate Release: The LEGO Group announces cancellation of Bespin Duel 75294 "Having an absentee father beat and maim his son before consigning him to the abyss after he refuses to accept his father's philosophical views isn't in keeping with our company values," says Dirk McDirk Face. "I mean, don't get me wrong," continued Dirk, 'We at the LEGO Group are all about good clean fantasy violence. We've made bank selling battle stations responsible for destroying entire worlds, but LEGO is a family brand and domestic violence isn't really our bag."

  19. I still say this is the best way to make a sure profit. Buy bulk that has plenty of recognisable sets in it, build, split, and sell. Even with thousands of new in box sets in the basement, and even more in various warehouses... I can't help the draw of buying bulk lots. I think it's because you already can gauge profit based on market values versus the guesswork involved in buying sets available at retail.

  24. This is a good way to attract casual fans to buy the set. Breaking these apart would force LEGO to call each set based on the name of the building. Pretty sure not too many know the name or even recognize the bookstore or wand shop. It would be harder sell for most people. But most probably have heard of Diagon Alley and aware that it is basically a market district

  27. I just think its very unlikely for an ideas set to get re-released. I got put off from all the chatter on here, but going by the number of sets lego releasing nowadays, just doesn't seem feasible for lego to release under the creator banner. Plus with the new lego strategy of more 18+ sets, its more likely they would go for a big piece count updated shuttle expedition after the lunar lander set retires. Should have went with my gut as this set turnover is insane, I only sell on ebay and even when you list this set, it usually sells within a few hours if priced reasonable, which is very good compared to other sets which may sell for alot, but takes time to sell.

  31. On the topic of disputing feedback.... I think it was last year i ordered one of the SDCC exclusives from an ebay seller. A month or two after the order i contacted the seller a couple times asking what was up as the item was being shipped and in peoples hands. Each time i contacted i got no response. At this point i figured either the seller oversold, or sold too low (price rose dramatically after my order) and was just ignoring me, or they never had any to sell to begin with. So i filed the INR case after not hearing anything from the seller in weeks. Sure enough ebay promptly refunded me once the case was opened and i left negative feedback. This feedback wasn't mean or rude, something along the lines of "Never shipped, no contact from seller, would not recommend". Almost immediately afterwords i received positive feedback from the seller that said something like "F@!# this c@#!sucker" Had a good laugh, quick phone call to ebay got the feedback comment removed, but not the additional +1 positive feedback, so thanks for the free positive bud Sellers account disappeared after this, so either it was a scam account that was removed, or ebay temp banned them or something for the language (they did mention they were going to penalize the account due to going against TOS with the language).
