Someone just sent me an offer - stating that it was a fair price, based on the original msrp, adjusted for inflation.4 points

I love this line so much: "DeJoy is not beholden to the influence of Trump and that the 'notion that the Postmaster General makes decisions concerning the Postal Service at the direction of the President is wholly misplaced and off-base.'" Weird that people would think someone who donated millions of dollars to the president's campaign while also having tens of millions of dollars invested in companies like UPS and J.B. Hunt would have a conflict of interest running the USPS. I've had most of my recent packages arrive on time, but I did have two in the last two weeks that were inexplicably slow only going a couple of states away.4 points

I think that's a fair concern. It depends on the virus. If flu season causes it to worsen, then you'll see another run on the essential stuff and Amazon might get overwhelmed. This is also a good case for all of us buying Christmas items we might want to give to friends and family right now. As well as home schooling and home work electronics and furniture.3 points

My fear with FBA is not sending in my stuffs, but their ability to ship out during Christmas. Would their distro centers be overwhelmed like in April and delay shipment of non-essentials items for weeks on end? That would be bad during holiday seasons3 points

I sold a number but my favorite sale was 60056 Tow Truck for a buy-in of 10.05 for $115 for a total profit after expenses of $78.91 or a return of 785%. I don't have all winners but if someone told me I could turn $10 into almost $90 in five years - I would take it. Bought in on March 9 of 2015.2 points

@zaphoid Can you go to a different post office? If there's one not too far from you, I'd do it. I'd rather have the piece of mind that it's been scanned. Despite being in San Diego, I'm in a small town part of it. Three Postal folks working there, know them all. They're all happy to scan my items in front of me. I'd rather get them scanned immediately then just drop them off and hope they show up in the system. At least there's proof I've dropped them off. And yes, I ask for the receipt.2 points

Just use your neighbor’s address, and place the boxes on the curb between your lawns.2 points

Seems the postmaster general is putting in place policies to deliberately slow up the mail like limiting automatic sorting and stopping overtime of workers in advance of the election (at the same time the president is talking about how overwhelmed and inefficient the postal service is). May be bad for business unless they are deliberately prioritizing packages over envelopes. Has anybody noticed this affecting delivery of packages yet?https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/31/politics/usps-mail-in-voting-2020-election/index.html2 points

That was the sale they had before. I picked one up and was floored by the care they put into the packing. They put the LEGO shipping box inside another padded box. It was like the size of a mini refrigerator. They didn't waste any time shipping it either. It arrived in just a few days. Very impressed and would definitely order from them again. I'd pick up another Falcon but I'm short on space. 2,800 sq ft house if jam packed with LEGO. My girlfriend keeps giving me the stink eye every time another shipping box arrives. I think putting LEGO sets in the kitchen cabinets above the refrigerator was the last straw...2 points

I forget how paranoid people are lol. Such a waste of energy and time. Maybe it's me being a niave Midwesterner but most thief's that will steal mountains of Lego's from a basement will have scoped you out by delivery drivers, social media and word of mouth. Not some trash being discarded. In case thieves are watching me 🧐 I'd like to inform them I have camera's around the house and on the only entrance to the basement so gl.1 point

Thx. I was wondering how else to make use of them. I've given to friends and neighbors that needed boxes for moving. Reused them to ship items. Used them to box donations. Still overflowing with them. I recycle a bunch too that were not worth reusing. Just be careful what kind of sketchy ppl you attract wondering what was in those boxes.1 point

Mexico's schools will be entirely remote this fall. I'm guessing this will impact production further. http://www.therepublic.com/2020/08/03/ap-lt-virus-outbreak-mexico-schools/1 point

I got a bunch of stuff from Target and my kids were thrilled. Even got a full box of the characters - which I think look better than those in the boxed sets. I personally hate how there are no instructions but we built everything - except the large bowser castle - just by looking at the box images. I'm very nostalgic with Mario / Nintendo as I grew up with it in the 80's, but these sets, to me, are just odd with regards to role-playing, so we'll be building a moc style something. Walmart has nothing here, no stickers, or otherwise. Oh, and the box of figures - lots of repeats, no ghosts.1 point

Hi! love the website and this is my first forum post. Just want to say I really depended on the brickfolio because I have a lego collection with my bro and put notes against each set who owns what lol! I am hoping it still exists somewhere far away in a database and that the info is safe! If it is going to be a while before I can access the info again that is fine but I'm just hoping it isn't gone forever 😃1 point
