Built my first 3 Lego sets in almost 15 years. Can't wait to build and display the other skyline. About the display: I wanted to display my skyline sets using the Kasseby display boxes as posted by others. However, some of the newer sets are much deeper (>10cm) and did not fit in the boxes. Here is my alternative which in my opinion looks nicer and is cheaper: 2 x IKEA Mosslanda (115 cm) 2 x IKEA SÄVSTA Memo board for the black background Clear Acrylic sheet from Home Depot LED lights from Amazon10 points

Nice. I've kept my cartridges as well plus the system though don't know if that still works or not let alone have anything to hook it up to. It was a game rife with picky jumps and needless paths (not to mention screen flicker & stutter with all the enemies on screen in spots) yet I find myself to be the odd one here in actually beating it back in the day. Now it took many, many hours to accomplish but I did it. The dam was easy when following a generally straight path and keeping calm. Third level (first with the Turtle Van) if I remember well enough the barricades you need rockets to destroy hinted towards the way going down & around the bottom of the map. Some of the sewer jumps in that area were obnoxious still. The following level that felt like an airport of sorts was a slog of a labyrinth with mean traps between fire pits and big magnets for some reason. I recall somewhat faffing around until finding the boss. Kind of the same thing with the next stage as well. My first times tackling the Technodrome were rough. Then I realized my problem was trying to clear the screen of enemies instead of just going past them at least regarding the jet pack guys exception being one last narrow hallway before Shredder where I had to clear them. First successful run I think I used the triple throwing stars. That final fight with Shredder was intense only because of everything else in the game when I think about it. A few good hits and down he went. I pretty much played the entire game as Leonardo & Donatello swapping as needed. TMNT on the NES is an altogether challenging game marred by pointless extra sections and side paths. Still in the end it controlled well for the most part, featured memorable music, and the open overworld was a unique feature then. Comparatively I found Legend of Zelda II more difficult and outright convoluted without a strategy guide. In fact until GameFAQs became a thing, I couldn't finish either Zelda game.2 points

FYI anyone trying to get this at a lego store it was ridiculous at open today. It was like a restaurant when they call you to tell you that "your table is ready" got there @ open and it took 1.5 hours. You cant go in the store. The entrance is a cash register and you place your order like at fast food. Cept Karen hasn't decided what she wants yet in front of you.2 points

Amazon has been shipping most medium-large sets in a custom Lego shipper AND an exterior box.1 point

Do you sell on walmart.com? What are the requirements to be able to sell there? Is the wording like this? "We don’t reimburse for refunds issued by non-Amazon entities."1 point

I once had a box of coffee flagged for being potentially explosive or some garbage. I'm pretty sure Amazon just has a room full of monkeys somewhere that fling poo at a wall of products and whichever ones get hit end up having random actions taken against their listings.1 point

Very's stock appeared after 6am. Looks like around 60 units judging by the other new sets. I think there are a lot less than 10,000 sets out there.1 point

I make my storage shelves from three of these Freestanding Shelving Unit End Frame at Menards https://www.menards.com/main/p-1444448764473.htm and buy precut 2'x8' 1/2" OSB and lay them across and screw them down, I use a piece of scrap trim as a diagonal brace. Basically my goal was as much shelving for as little time and money as possible. The OSB sags a bit under the weight, but it's still solid. I store all my Lego sets in larger cardboard boxes for protection from moisture and dust. I wouldn't recommend OSB if you're putting the sets directly on the shelves though.1 point

I can confirm that Peanuts is licensed. I’ve been to Knott’s Berry Farm here in SoCal, and Knott’s has had the license to the characters for the rides. I’ve seen these sets for sale inside the park. On the surface, they look interesting, but the quality looks suspect when you look at them up close.1 point

The least you can do before you block them is to reply with a picture of a colonoscopy to show him how authentic of an a#$ he is.1 point

Aside from Han being murdered I don't remember much of anything about the "Starkiller" base. Probably would be a shelf warmer.1 point

I'm currently fighting a return myself. Someone bought an item from me for $480 and paid $30 for some kind of expedited shipping (guess they weren't a Prime member or something?). So the buyer paid $510 total, but I only got $405 out of it after fees because Amazon just pocketed the $30 shipping charge. So, buyer decides to return the item. Amazon deducts $490 from my account for it, which was higher than my original listing price. I understand not getting back some of the fees, but turns out they refunded that shipping charge to the buyer as well and decided to take that out of my account even though I never originally saw that money in the first place. Of course they refuse to admit anything is wrong and just keep sending copy/paste responses. They've actually just outright left my last case open for almost two weeks now. The worst part is that this return was three months ago and the buyer still hasn't sent back the item yet. So much for that "if the buyer hasn't returned the item in 45 days we will automatically credit your account" garbage. Also it's pretty comical that if you call phone support these days all they ever do is say "we aren't allowed to handle that over the phone anymore so I'm creating an email case for you". I honestly don't know what their phone support is even for anymore.0 points

Another case of F***ed by Amazon. I got another one of those phantom buyer refund without any associated return case. Spent my morning arguing by email with Amazon rep who said the refund was not issued by Amazon. I said if I did not authorize it and Amazon did not either, then Amazon has a security breach in their hand. I am still waiting for their respond. Never had I spent so much time to get $5 back to my pocket. And yes, Amazon refused to budge on $5 they took from my account.0 points
