Built my first 3 Lego sets in almost 15 years. Can't wait to build and display the other skyline. About the display: I wanted to display my skyline sets using the Kasseby display boxes as posted by others. However, some of the newer sets are much deeper (>10cm) and did not fit in the boxes. Here is my alternative which in my opinion looks nicer and is cheaper: 2 x IKEA Mosslanda (115 cm) 2 x IKEA SÄVSTA Memo board for the black background Clear Acrylic sheet from Home Depot LED lights from Amazon13 points

I like how it's a limit of 2, but you need 3 to do the full mosaic...well thought out!8 points

I'm upset that the site is lying to me. It most definitely is NOT an unexpected error.6 points

NES is still available including my local store. Maybe LEGO overproduced the NES and underproduced the piano?4 points

With all of those people two of us wanted piano. Lego employees are amazing, the guy went through the line and asked and then set aside. Dude has worked for it. 4 marine corps marathons!3 points

I will say, now I know how the rest of the world felt left out in 2019 with the US being the only ones to get TLM2 brickheadz and Darth Vader Bust. Profit margins on this one seem to be quite a bit higher on this one to make up for you guys missing out last year haha.3 points

FYI anyone trying to get this at a lego store it was ridiculous at open today. It was like a restaurant when they call you to tell you that "your table is ready" got there @ open and it took 1.5 hours. You cant go in the store. The entrance is a cash register and you place your order like at fast food. Cept Karen hasn't decided what she wants yet in front of you.2 points

Pentagon city? Tyson’s looked the same. Probably 50 people (not including family members) in line by 1045. Never seen anything like it. Fortunately most were there for NES. Managed to score one and a piano.2 points

Relax, everything is fine. That's gluten-free organic free range almond milk icecream in a cone made out of recycled food waste. $100 is the actual price.2 points

I know @odysea11 was not sure of the value of this, but since I had to go through an inventory effort for my BL store anyways, here is the final summary: Buy-in price was $165 shipped. I had to move 6 minifig heads to my personal collection as the printing was faded/substandard. Total value of parts (BL 6-month avg): $368, with a couple of individual parts fetching >$1.5 each, including the bunny teeth minifigure head going for $2.70. TLBM2 Minifigs: $40 (3xGiraffe Guy, 2xWatermelon Dude, 1 each of Flashback Lucy, Apocalypse Benny, Vest Friend Rex, Unikitty and Dorothy+Toto). DC Minifigs: $39.50 (2 each of Metamorpho and Stargirl, 1 each of Aquaman, Joker, Cheetah, Green Lantern, Bumblebee and Bat-Mite). Retail price for the storage container: $20 ---------------+ Total value: $368+$40+$39.50+$20 = $467.50 Slightly off from LEGO's $552.99 advertised retail price, but a pretty good bargain nevertheless (65% off).2 points

Both have to be expensive to ship. I got this backwards too thinking piano would be around still. I didn't think that many people would be willing to pay $350 for the piano out of the gate. Maybe Lego severely under-produced.1 point

I completely missed the Piano. Didn't expect it to go OOS in 30 seconds. On the other hand I can't believe the NES is still in stock, but some of the random Mario expansion sets went to Backorder within half an hour.1 point

Most of these people are 1) amateurs and got lucky 2) never sold anything before or 3) paying on credit card and need to pay before end of month or all three1 point

Irony for me was my laptop decided to do a virus scan @ midnight. After rebooting, because I thought the website had crashed, my virus scan ended only to go into a windows update. *facepalm* So frustrating. After all of that, I was finally able to get one after the same errors as everyone else.1 point

Hey the exact same thing happened to me. I couldn't drop the quantity back down to 1, and so I figured I better just go with it before I missed out.1 point

Went from 30 to 15 today, and from 3.75% to 2.5%. Plus I have a 5 figure sum standing ready from recent LEGO sales to take the top off that new mortgage to further shorten the runtime.1 point

I guess... I just closed on a refi on the house I bought six years ago and raised my payment $15, but went from 24 years left to 15 years left1 point

The current rate isn’t significantly better than the one I got 6 years ago for my other house.1 point

seriously 9 minutes and not a single mention of the rate that is likely causing the vast majority of movement it's the mortgage interest rate , stupid1 point

It seems to suggest a monorail but is it really a monorail with track and function or just the monorail cars and you "pretend" the rest?1 point

What's with all the hating against MasamuneHonjo? Leave the guy alone. Sorry if we all don't have the incredible insight that you do. The guy was just asking questions about things. Brickpicker is surely about helping others and learning and not about bashing each other and making them feel crappy.1 point

We added an LED light kit to our Treehouse. Looks awesome! Kind of a pain the ass though....I am now dreading putting on our LED kit for Hogwarts Castle!1 point

Lots of memories for me. My brother and I would always inhale dinner as the first one done and upstairs got to be player 1 and decide what game(s) were played that night. My parents recently retired / moved, which means we had to go through all our boxes of stuff that we still had at their house. I received the NES and the games. My initial thoughts on this set were meh, but after going through my games, I like this set more and more and think they could add so much to it such as Excitebike, Spyhunter (if they could change the scrolling), Castlevania, Megaman, etc. And for the math discussion...1 point

Looks like a $200 price point. Hopefully they will give us a Duck Hunt w/ light gun add-on for a promo.1 point

Hi! love the website and this is my first forum post. Just want to say I really depended on the brickfolio because I have a lego collection with my bro and put notes against each set who owns what lol! I am hoping it still exists somewhere far away in a database and that the info is safe! If it is going to be a while before I can access the info again that is fine but I'm just hoping it isn't gone forever 😃1 point

I understand that their brickfolio information was accessible to yourselves. My point was that they came to use the information and experience of others, contributed no opinion or any other input and now consider the site dead without even attempting to add a little life to it. I just find it a little ironic. Anyway, looking forward to having the brickfolio back, when you finish it.1 point
