  2. Yes, you are right about buying at 80%off. I was talking about the potential after retirement. This set sat through the pandemic months while other sets disappearing from Walmart. It indicates either it did not sell well, or Lego made too many of this set. That's why I hesitated to buy during the first round.

  8. What is clear when reviewing all the listings is premiums prices are being paid for sets that are listed as MISB (MINT IN SEALED BOX). Most of the AUCT/BIN with MISB are above $1500+ (USD).

  10. well, maybe... It was my last one. I had it at $475 and then upped it to 495 a few weeks ago. HE asked if I would take 450, I said no, and a week later he bit. All in he was at $528. It was on a USA FB group for lego buying and selling. Buy cost $260.

  12. Couple of deals at Zavvi. 21042 Statue of Liberty - I think this matches the recent sale on Amazon? $98 21054 The White House - not on sale but can get with free shipping and no tax (depending on your state) Also, it doesn't seem to be available in the US yet. $100 75948 HP Astronomy tower - A slight sale. Might not be worth your time $95

  20. No, most of those people still hate the prequels. The neckbeards that grew up with the OT **** all over the Prequels and drove George Lucas away from his own franchise. It's incredibly ironic to me that my generation, those that mostly grew up with the Prequels and endured all of that toxicity, are now doing the same thing to the Sequel trilogy. There's no 'period' to any of this. There's enough Star Wars for everyone to love something. Rey, Finn, and Poe are heroes to my kids. I wish people would just let other people enjoy things without having to **** all over them. I spent most of my time in he fandom being told how I wasn't a real Star Wars fan because I loved the Prequels, and I really hate seeing that cycle continue.

  23. seriously, what is wrong with the train?...such a slow mover and never sniffed even a backorder during all the scarcity on large sets. Pro: Iconic Disney, TRAIN! Good exclusive minifigs, D2C Con: Building and train functions prices it probably $50-$75 too much; but considering the castle fetched close to 2x RRP during CV scarcity...the price tag does not seem to scare away Disney fans. That said in hindsight, LEGO would have been better off at just the train (no power function) for $99 and maybe the train station as a separate modular for $150...with a promotional free power functions when you purchase both.
