Another store dropped this morning, another 80% off stack. No reason to get scared away at nearly 80% off people. If it only gets back to retail price you're looking at making 461% of what you paid for it. Even if it never makes it to retail it would have to be historically bad to not double your money on it....and who would complain about a 100% return?7 points

Lol, this stuff is just tabloids for nerds. This site is malware-infested trash, and they (among several others) have posted blatantly incorrect stories for years now without repercussion. There are reputable sources and industry insiders that leak through /r/StarWarsLeaks, MSW, and the like. None of them are backing any of this up. Let's remember a couple of things to put this into context: 1. George Lucas wanted to walk away from Star Wars because he said it wasn't "fun" anymore, and that the fans were too hard to please. He's talking about these same Saliter Than Crait people that **** all over the Disney trilogy. Yes, they're the same people. If you're one of those people, you're the reason George isn't still making Star Wars films. Congrats. 2. George Lucas is very close and very good friends with Kathleen Kennedy. He's worked with her for decades and he HAND-PICKED her to be his replacement. Like, good lord. I want to tell these people that it's possible to dislike the Sequel films without having to make up an entire conspiracy about it. Just say you didn't like it and move on. Last thing: The people that watch YouTube videos for 'news' are among the most gullible in our society.4 points

No, most of those people still hate the prequels. The neckbeards that grew up with the OT **** all over the Prequels and drove George Lucas away from his own franchise. It's incredibly ironic to me that my generation, those that mostly grew up with the Prequels and endured all of that toxicity, are now doing the same thing to the Sequel trilogy. There's no 'period' to any of this. There's enough Star Wars for everyone to love something. Rey, Finn, and Poe are heroes to my kids. I wish people would just let other people enjoy things without having to **** all over them. I spent most of my time in he fandom being told how I wasn't a real Star Wars fan because I loved the Prequels, and I really hate seeing that cycle continue.3 points

End and relist is your best option. 11 re-lists shouldn’t take you more than 15 minutes.2 points

just 1 more... expectations on Star Wars movies make it impossible to be universally loved (or even decently reviewed)...any movie is instantly placed under microscope...what EVER looks good under such scrutiny?...that's why I think Mandolorian was so well received...it's a TV series so expectations were scaled way down. I watch Star Wars movies for cool scenes and epic moments...expecting a great overall movie (under such hype pressure) just ain't gonna happen2 points

Within BL, you can create a wanted list. Search the VW set and under wanted list, click part out. This will allow you to add all the parts of the set into Wanted list. Then in the wanted list, check the boxes of the colour you would like to change. For instance, choose all the red bricks and click colour and choose the colour of your choice to see what exists. It will change all of them to Dark Azure and any parts that don't exist will have no image. Rarely a part exists which also says no image.2 points

Put all the relevant bricks on your building surface in Stud.io in the original Beetle color (no need to build the set, just place the bricks down). Select all of them and in the right top corner of the screen (in the side panel that shows your building parts/steps) use the color selector - it will show you all the colors these bricks have in common (note, this could be none in your case). You can play with the selection of bricks to see if subtle changes or substitutions will help, or to find out which bricks are problematic for the given color.2 points

Alternatively, increase your handling time. I've done this a number of times. Works for 1-2 week vacations, not longer though.1 point

I don’t really want credible or incredible information from somebody who’s handle is Doomcock. I don’t really want credible or incredible information from somebody who’s handle is Doomcock.1 point

That's a prequel though & it was the best SW movie ever made. The haters from 10 years ago are now the biggest fans of this movie... for a reason... Sequels are trash. Period.1 point

i'm not a super SW nerd just yet, but isn't that movie considered one of the prequels?1 point

Aside from Han being murdered I don't remember much of anything about the "Starkiller" base. Probably would be a shelf warmer.1 point

I sprung for one, just too tempting to get random minifig parts. I love a grab bag.1 point

Picked up several TVC figures at $7, Retro ESB at $5, $10 TVC Jabba’s Palace, and Black Series 6” at $11 (Sith Troopers)1 point

Nothing jumped out at me, this SORT of counts, but I was keeping an eye for the Vintage Escape from the Death Star board game, hoping to get a couple for friends at 70% off, but they are no longer in stores and even show up as "NA" on trackers, when they were there at the start of clearance a couple weeks back. I'll be running to another store or two tomorrow and keep more of a focused eye out. Walmart has been clearing some of the Retro figures, I saw Luke Skywalker (Yavin), Han (Bespon) a Lando and C3P0 - those were marked down only like 30% off or so when I saw them a couple weeks back. And if memory serves they had a couple of the Black Series Rogue One figures at like $11.1 point

Just wait for August 3rd or so, it will show how many are out there. Holding this set is a bad idea either way, there will only be more of them.1 point

What's with all the hating against MasamuneHonjo? Leave the guy alone. Sorry if we all don't have the incredible insight that you do. The guy was just asking questions about things. Brickpicker is surely about helping others and learning and not about bashing each other and making them feel crappy.1 point

I'm reading this thread and thinking the same. Those that feel this set will be plentiful are likely mistaken.1 point

Are you sure that you can use so-called "common sense"? Or do you think that LEGO in 2011 constructed a warehouse size of 18 football fields JUST for the future release of some idio-tic Bell copter.. ? Seriously?1 point

MLB's new 'Extra Inning" rule that automatically places a runner at second base with no one out every half inning. It's stupid in every possible way.1 point

I just let it go. It was awhile ago and I think it was pretty close to a wash at the time - - maybe a little in their favor. Needed a tv for the garage at the time anyway. I think I had already received a warning letter from Target by that point so I decided not to rock the boat. I called about a previous order that was screwed up and the lady at CR really remarked on all the Lego I was buying, put me on hold, etc. so I was a little spooked. Needed a tv for the garage anyway . . .1 point

I thought a lot about this in the past and wouldn't do this if I were you. Houses are typically not set up well for this type of storage with stairs and rooms and what not. If you're at the point where you need that much additional storage, you'd be better off renting self-storage space for the short-term while looking for/working towards a longer term solution. Finding a pre-existing warehouse close to your house for a decent price is pretty difficult in most areas, but not impossible. Have you talked with commercial landlords and looked at Craigslist? I constantly look at the commercial stuff available around me and it's all wildly expensive, but have found some very affordable places off the beaten path. The idea of renting retail space for storage is not a smart one IMHO. Retail space is typically more expensive and comes with all sorts of lease covenants that pretty much require you to be, you know, a retail store. Sure, you might be able to find some desperate landlord willing to forego some of that, but then you're probably renting storage space with some amount of breakable glass on its front right next door to the internet gambling parlor, a car audio store with a "z" in its name instead of an "s," and a vape shop. The option that is a bigger pain, but makes sense if you're in this for the long haul is to find commercial land and develop it with storage that suits your needs. Trust me if you're starting to operate on a larger scale, you are going to want/need the ability to move things around on pallets using a forklift/pallet jack before long. Unless you have some very weird houses in your area, you aren't going to find that in a house. Your back will thank you.1 point
