I hate to admit it, but operating in "Christmas mode" (fulfilling several orders every day) during summer is wearing me down. I may need to shift to undercutting other sellers via FBA instead Or maybe I am just getting too old for this game4 points

You can find those deals from time to time in France at our local toy shops or shops selling toys which have the collector lego boxes. In France we usuallly get : buy two get the cheapest one - 50% or buy two get one free. It is actually a good sale for Big collector series because you usually only find them in Lego store For example you can find this sale in King Jouet or Picwictoys (Before Toys ur us) in France. They usually do the sale 3-4 times a year. The best toy shop is the King jouet in Paris, they have a lot of nice big boxes there. For example they had the UCS millenium falcon and the UCS Imperial star destroyer on sale too. They came to around $1150 for the two sets. Didn't have enough cash to buy them but certainly a good deal. You can't buy them online though but maybe if you came on vacation to France you could purchase them at the same time. The sale usually lasts 10 days. Regards2 points

"Moderating"? Nah. They only page me when people start complaining about out of topic posts on Daily Deals thread2 points
-
1. Perhaps buyer used to live in CA? I have the same number since college and I have not live there in ages [emoji3] 2. I bet he/she wants a deal outside of eBay 3. Technically eBay frown on the above but it is up to you to text or not2 points
-
geezer. don't you have some boxes to pre-fab instead of "moderating"?2 points
-
Do not text them. Give them one chance to ask the questions via ebay messaging. If no response, cancel the sale and relist.2 points

Finished this up last week. Its a really nice set with some interesting building techniques. I bought the set for the bookshop - my parents wrote children's books when I was a kid and it reminds me of the independent bookshops we used to visit for their presentations, but honestly I liked the house build more. I know this has received criticism for being small, etc, but the details are really nice. I built the Grand Emporium a few months ago and there is a definitely a difference in style between the earlier modulars and the trend of newer ones, but not a bad one in my opinion. I do agree that LEGO missed a great opportunity to create more clever book titles like they did with the Palace Cinema movie posters, and I feel like they could have tossed in a couple more leaf elements for the tree, but overall I think its a really great set!2 points

No biggie. Got your back. Lol. So I wasn’t the only one that thought about that?1 point

Ignore. But as for the number, yeah, my number traces back to California and I have not lived there for 15 years.1 point

Hi everyone. Good to see there is a website on Lego Investing. Love the brickpicker YouTube channel. Hello from overseas from France. Will be active on the investing forum from now.1 point

funny, i got 2 from the range a week ago @ £250, only 1 arrived in the box ( i bought 2) they said they would have to contact lego as it was direct from them, day later another arrives direct from lego.1 point

Mine screams at me because my zip code doesn't match my nearest zip code PO, so it's not the "origination" PO, and "they don't get credit for it." I have to drive through that zip code to get to my zip code's PO. I'm not driving an extra 20 minutes round trip, when I can just drop off at my nearest PO.1 point

People here are very helpful. The fact that a 30% off deal is even posted amongst a group of resellers is amazing. You can't expect others to do your research, aka homework, for you and tell you what to buy.1 point

Lego Movie 2 and the Ninjago Movie are going to be your best bet. Don't forget those stackable Friends Heart boxes.1 point

Two international orders finally arrived - one from France and one from Norway. They were placed mid-late May. Not too bad actually. Still waiting on one from Denmark and another from the Netherlands.1 point

are you ordering through the app on your phone or through the website? any order i place through the app on iphone is instantly cancelled. same order placed over their web portal will make it through. i do many small orders scattered throughout the day. very rarely is an order over $300 unless its a larger set. i spent almost $20K on lego last month at target without issues other than smashed damaged boxes which i hardly ever return. USPS handles my high volume of orders by having the postal clerk scream at me when i come back from a 5 day trip and half their small town office is filled up with my target boxes.1 point

I was just notified by a seller on ebay that apparently the comics I bought on March 15 are being shipped. This is after he refunded me the full amount after a month of not being able to track the books down. I suppose I have to find a way to pay for them now1 point

I'm jealous of the amount of data you guys have to use for trending. It's just me and my crystal ball over here.1 point

Sorry that its dead to you, but hopefully you will come back one day. I am sorry that it is taking time, but that is what it is, time. I am busy in my work world and don't really have the time or energy to work on the site during the week, so most of my work is during my weekend evenings. Is that really a crime, I sure hope not. There is life, work, family and BrickPicker. I am doing what I can, when I can and sorry that it may not be good enough for you. I do hope you can understand.1 point

Yep. That’s because it’s all about money and control. Not about saving lives. Kill Main Street so the billionaires can get richer.1 point

It's why I throw shade on certain sets at times. I threw shade all over 10243 about it being out too long and being the next Pet Shop... all while cleaning them up from Walmart at $110. Each flipper that you convince a set is going to under perform... is one less competitor you need to deal with.1 point

But in addition: the word "sollen" does not really mean "should" as the translater says. "Sollen" is much stronger, its more like "they have to" than "should". "should would be "sollten", which is a lot more softer and unsecure. The translater does not make a difference between "sollen" and "sollten" - but there is a huge difference.1 point

yeah. I think a lot of people read it as, "don't worry, this won't effect things" I read it as "we will not be extending the life of products just because there is a shortage currently"1 point

Are you noticing anything? You didn't even think it yourself. This wasn't precisely calculated by any of us, this has nothing to do with our analytic skills, in this economic crisis, we just happened to get lucky that everything turned out the way it did.1 point

lol - that was your VERY FIRST post on bp - you came in gunz a blazin' no doubt, i gave you you're first ' brickpicker LIKE on that post. don't let the haters win. you can't be surprised that doubters exist. you were on the money last year - thanks!1 point

When someone leaks it should be around August/September usually. I did post it last year & got nothing but querky replies. Won't do that again.1 point

I agree, it's an amazing rendition but I think the part count is closer to 20k. That would mean four (4) Hogwarts sets ($1600) + extra pieces to complete this. If I won the lottery, I would do it in a heartbeat but since I'm not made of money... I'll appreciate the pictures.1 point

Just look around at all the other Star Wars product, from Pops to Hasbro to clothing. It’s all the same. Its just recycled every couple of years. They endlessly recycle the action figures. The basic versions. Same figures different packaging. It’s the same strategy LEGO uses for its endless police and fire stations. There’s a known window and turnover to this stuff and new kids are constantly coming into the market. And new adults are constantly dipping back into being consumers. Just last night a 35 year old friend of mine admitted he had never seen a Star Wars film all the way through until last month, when he sat down with his 6 year old to start watching them. Boom. Two new consumers right there that don’t care a thing about how many Luke Landspeeders have come before - just that they can get one today.1 point

2008-2012 somewhere in there was the alltime peak. It was absolutely insane, sets were flying off the shelves, everyone bought the stuff. The waves were very nice & Disney wasn't in charge of the franchise. I haven't bought anything Star Wars since 2014.1 point

I'm at the point where I have more LEGO than clothing in my closet. All the space under my desk - used. Even the small shelf above my desk is packed to the max. Main storage already maxed out. You CAN have too much.1 point

You will be lucky to find Carousel in stock anywhere in the UK now. They have jumped up to £200 selling on ebay in the UK and will go higher, let's do the maths??1 point

Wow! Well, Hello! I'm new here, but not new to Lego. Got my first set at 5 years old. I'm 46 now. And as a female, I seem to be in the minority, lol1 point

Hello, not long ago pulled my bricks out of storage to introduce the kids, they are hooked now! This reignited my own love for Lego. I have toyed with the idea of investing, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Still trying to learn the ropes.1 point
