  1. are you ordering through the app on your phone or through the website? any order i place through the app on iphone is instantly cancelled. same order placed over their web portal will make it through. i do many small orders scattered throughout the day. very rarely is an order over $300 unless its a larger set. i spent almost $20K on lego last month at target without issues other than smashed damaged boxes which i hardly ever return. USPS handles my high volume of orders by having the postal clerk scream at me when i come back from a 5 day trip and half their small town office is filled up with my target boxes.

  6. And so the next major release has finally launched. With 1.16, the Nether has truly become its own unique realm featuring a handful of visually distinctive biomes over the former 'nothing but netherrack' landscape. Bastions and Piglins are in a sense the Village and Villagers of the Nether respectively (except the Piglins will kick your butt should you cross them, haha). Unfortunately the ever-classic Zombie Pigman is no more being replaced by the Zombified Piglin. Though mostly similar there are some visual differences meaning any past Minecraft LEGO sets including the original Zombie Pigman minifigure could see an uptick. Perhaps even bring attention to many of the Nether sets in general. Anywho, the Nether looks really good and while still quite dangerous actually fun to explore. I can almost imagine a sort of "Netherblock" challenge map (basically the Nether equivalent to Skyblock). For anyone who plays, you do not need to start a new world to check out the new Nether thankfully. Either you can explore further in your Nether where newly generated chunks will use the new code or you can delete the folder in your world save for the Nether. Various videos on YouTube and some general articles about resetting the Nether can help with the process better than me.

  8. It has been aired before that Kladno, CZE, EU factory is supplying and stepping in to cover the outages from Mexico plant. The workers in Kladno (production) have different palets for storing the EU stuff.. and US stuff.. what you do not know is that the workforce / labor simply does not catch up.. they have extra shift.. BUT obviously they are rewarded for extra "input" by receiving new sealed sets (with some totally minor damage that you would simply not even register) for FREE as a THANK YOU for your hard work - these sets even get an extra sticker from some cheap inkjet based printer saying "we thank you + LEGO logo".. and most of these (being given away) are 75954 .. so go and make your assumptions regarding that fact. I got 6 in my hands in last three days with the same "thank you" sticker.. all of them priced beyond wild guesses (if its free you do not simply care what your costs are. )

  9. eBay: $250 21309 Saturn V Rocket 21321 International Space Station 10266 Lunar Lander 21312 Women of NASA 2x LEGO City 30365 Satellites Grabbed this lot on eBay after selling a sealed 21309 for $250 cash the day before. A lateral move in funds, but freed up a lot of sealed sets to be sold that I was saving as my copy. I can't remember the last New set I actually built. Seems like I always end up with a used set under RRP, then sell my copy of the sealed set for bananas prices after the price spikes.

  10. Looks like the Mexico plant is cranking out plastic bits again as I'm starting to see a number of scarce sets arriving with recent R manufacturing codes. I thought it might be good to post what we've seen recently. I'm putting this in the EOL area since some of these sets were thought to be EOL. Just because there was a recent production doesn't mean it has years or weeks left in it, but at least we know which sets we might expect to start to show up again. Or which sets my not come with with EU restickers again. 10261 Roller Coaster, 23R0, from LEGO 21317 Steamboat Willie, 22R0, from Amazon

  11. I wanted to create a new thread in order to give progress on my site updates. I want explain a bit on what happened and what I am doing. What happened with the site? Honestly nothing really exciting or dramatic, overall in the end, I did not want to support the host I was with for the past four years after not really offering too much help with managed servers. They would spend 30 seconds looking, say they can ping the server so its up and then just say, "hey not my problem". I was on aging hardware, paying the same amount of money, so I took the opportunity to move to a new host with better/faster hardware and a staff that does help to support you when run into an issue that you can't handle on your own. I have been doing this a long time and pretty good monitoring and handling 99% of what comes my way, but there are issues that you need the next level up to help figure out what to do. I wasn't getting anything like that, but paying for it. Not anymore. What my goal is... I know more than anyone that the site needed some TLC. It's been a while since I have done any drastic updates, the site looked tired and I know the site can be so much better than what it's current state was. LEGO investing has changed since Ed and I launched the site and it's time to remove the dead content and bring more of what people are looking for. Below is the short term list of items planned for updating. I have been working on the nightly, just like the early days and enjoying seeing parts of it coming to life. Fix the login. This has been messed up and quirky for a while. This has been resolved and working well. It's a simple thing overall, but nice that it actually works how it's supposed to Overall price guide site design update. The site was tired and disjointed. I hated it and pained me to look at it. Time to start over. Brickfolio update. All the Brickfolio data is safe. I have close to three million rows of data for Brickfolio entries. Time to bring this thing to 2020. I will probably create another thread at some point to solicit some feedback on some new requests for the brickfolio Fix the data syncing with Brickset. A lot of people used this feature, but it's time to make it work the way it should. Later I will work on the content portions. The news and blogs. I have some good ideas for this, but want to get the price guide and brickfolio to you sooner than later. What I am asking for if possible... If you can, please stop asking where the brickfolio is. Again, the data is safe and I am working as fast as I can to bring it all back to you. It won't be a few days, but more like a few weeks, but it will be worth it. I setup my dev environment to push releases quick and easy. I want to create a true changelog so that you can follow updates to see what was done/fixed/new/removed, you know like what real software companies do. I really do appreciate your patience with this. It wasn't planned, but if there was going to be a time to do it, it was going to be now.

  13. lol. Worst that can happen is buyer claims set is counterfeit, returns you a box of rocks, or some other scam that happens on ebay and amazon every day.

  14. The transaction "should" be fine. With that being said, do everything correctly (as per ebay/paypal policy), as I am certain that scammers do see newbies as easier targets (a new seller is much likelier to slip up in the process, or to be tricked into situations due to their lack of experience). And for any other would be sellers - I would strongly suggest not starting the selling game with $500 sets.

  15. I know this doesn't help you and is probably not an option, but this is one of the biggest reasons I switched to FBA. Some people are very obsessed with tracking their deliveries and it can be very stressful and time consuming constantly communicating with them and pleading to be patient. If the original driver does not scan your items into the system, they can NOT show up in tracking until they are actually delivered. If you try and hand a package to a UPS driver on the street they will tell you it may not get scanned into the system for a while, if at all. I imagine its the same with USPS but I would think since its a pickup it should be. Obviously it sounds like they didn't however. All you can do is assure them that it was shipped and that it was just not scanned into the system. You've been doing this for many years and although frustrating, it happens sometimes. Tell them to look at your feedback to assure them you are a responsible seller. It actually happens a lot more than you know, it's just when you come across someone who keeps watching the tracking that you notice . . . USPS can be the only cheaper option, but try and use UPS or FEDex as much as you can. Despite your local postal worker being "great", the organization as a whole really doesn't care and really will not be helpful. Consider also taking the packages directly to the post office in the future. I know its a hassle and costs you time, but imo its not worth the hassle of dealing with one of these situations.

  16. Send it to the address provided by eBay (well packed) and upload the tracking number to eBay/PayPal. After that you are good to go and protected. I don’t know why everyone freaks out about 0 feedback buyers. Everybody starts at 0. I just finally cracked 1000 positive feedbacks but it’s taken me 15 years to get there. I’ve had several thousand transactions on eBay and many 0 feedback buyers. I’ve never had an issue with any of them. I agree with the previous post. Why is an expensive set like the Ewok Village your first eBay sale? I’d test the waters and get used to the process first with some less desirable sets / items, but I guess that’s just me.

  17. nothing more you can do at this point other than initiating an inquiry. For domestic, it will probably take 2~3 biz days for usps to reply. meanwhile, talk to your customers and keep them patient. If you issue a refund right now, what if the packages finally arrive? If you do want to issue a refund, you still have to follow ebay's procedure so you can get your fee back, which means buyer has to open a case, and then clock starts to ticking and you have 3 days to find a solution. I think ebay will remove any neg feedback against you during this pandemic if the complaint is merely late delivery. So to me the most important thing is get usps to scan in the update.

  25. U.S. Income Reporting & Tax Identity Collection FAQ Due to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations, U.S. third-party settlement organizations and payment processors, including Amazon, are required to file Form 1099-K for U.S. taxpayer sellers who meet the following thresholds in a calendar year: More than $20,000 in unadjusted gross sales, and More than 200 transactions. If you do not meet both of these thresholds, you will not receive an IRS Form 1099-K.

  32. eBay+PayPal and Amazon fees are high +/-15% and 17% bricklink and BrickOwl are 3% + PayPal sales prices are higher on eBay and Amazon amazon fix shipping fees, eBay you charge a set fee nationwide, not good if you ship one coast to the other. brickowl and BrickLink allow for zonal shipping pricing. sales probably quicker on eBay and Amazon as long as you price to sell Great screen name! do I detect another mopar lover?

  34. It’s very simple to use a heat sealer like one found on a food saver to repackage bags. One of the sellers on BL reuses bags from sets this way and I’ve had some orders come from him in sealed bags stuffed with elements from my order. Buying clearance off the shelf has always been a crap shoot, but seeing the lengths some people go to cover up theft is alarming.
