Picked up a Creator Roller Coaster on Amazon for $290 using built up rewards points. Glad I didn't fall for the FOMO on this one. Fairground construction begins in 1 week as Carousel and Ferris Wheel get moved from their storage and this and Mixer get built. Also have the little Rocket Ride set to add to it. Light kits will need to be purchased as well if anyone has recommendations on those.8 points

I sold my 10273 Haunted House today for $500 plus $35 shipping on eBay. Buyer paid a total of $567 after shipping & tax. There has never been a better time to be a lego reseller.4 points

A wise person once said something like the quoted post should be stickied. After multiple days of random chatter and people complaining about the chatter, perhaps now is the time?3 points

Man, that's the same as the going price for the original 10228 HH. These people are the same as the early adopters who gotta have it as soon as it's released no matter what the price. Congrats on the sale!2 points

The list is definitely known. It has been leaked back in April I believe it was (not here but elsewhere). People here are helpful to an extent, but in the end we are all competitors as well. Some people on here have been spot on with what they say is going and what isn't. Others have been way off base. It all depends on who you trust on here to listen to and who you don't.2 points

Yes, she said they expect more in store in July. Thank you for the sensible question. To be clear, she did not indicate when they would retire, simply that they were starting up production and she had a list of sets and ETAs that she was reading from. Carry on...2 points

Had a conversation with a very helpful LEGO Store Employee. - helpful how? She shared that many of these sets are not retiring - we know this will continue to pour in as the factories are coming back on line. - we also know this. I inquired about several specific ones that she was able to give ETAs on. - like? basically whole post about nothing.2 points

I just built the Tie Fighter Helmet yesterday and today. I feel the same way. The Tie Fighter is unique, it has some complex builds for each of the sides and the tube technique is also interesting...But i just cant get into this set, even after it's complete. Not sure what to do with it. It was cool to build, but not sure ill get any more of these unless there is a theme/bust that I really like.2 points

We'll witness history this year. It will be an even decade & we can finally see it go. I hope there isn't an alternative universe where everyone lives 10 times longer & where T1s lifespan is 100 years.1 point

The only source I truly trust is my local LEGO mgr as they know info before the rest of the world and are held to secrecy. Which is why I don't share info on sets that are not yet rumored or known. The statement LEGO released a month or so ago stating that EOL dates are not changing should be the primary source we use. The only question is, which sets were scheduled to end this year? One thing my favorite store mgr did say is stock is questionable, especially for large sets, through Christmas (already suspected) and that LEGO was focusing production on new product not those that are either going EOL or continuing through next year. So I'm sure we'll see lots of Monkey Kid, Dots, and the like this year, but large sets might be very hit or miss and I doubt we'll see discounts for many if any of them. Then again, maybe everyone will just be tired of LEGO by Christmas. LOL, just kidding.1 point

I'm not, don't take my posts too seriously. I just find it funny how people are "pretty sure" employees know as much as themselves. For some it might be true, but that's such a tiny percentage of their staff. Edit: There is always a list. Assembly Square's exit date didn't change since last year. They can change it, but they won't in most cases.1 point

Here in Texas they're about to start requiring people on unemployment to start looking for work again as part of continued receiving of benefits. As far as an extension (and by no means am I attempting to derail the tread or start anything), I believe the Republicans will wait to see how they are polling in July before deciding on an extension.1 point

I’ll go there - after the Ahsoka set the advent is the winner here. 2 Christmas sweaters!?! Plus Christmas Darth in an otherwise mostly sequel trilogy themed calendar? This is glorious madness.1 point

I mean, to be fair, the only sets I took a loss on were used. I sat on those three assembled architecture sets for years and years and they were just literally collecting dust on my shelf. I didn’t even have to disassemble them. also, are you guys really going to quibble over some used sets when my overall ROI is 38%? come on.1 point

Yes. I got sloppy one morning last year and put an order through for around $16k. Everything after that was cancelled. Before then, the highest order I'd placed was probably somewhere in the $8k range and never had a problem.1 point

I still, after these years of selling, don't comprehend what drives people to spend $200 on a set on Amazon that they could have paid $100 for on Ebay. Not hating though, congrats on the sale! have you read the Fruitcakes thread? there are many out there that still think Ebay is an online flea market and Amazon is equivalent to Walmart (when it can be the opposite in reality)1 point

Also think it would be good to have an update. Issue first would took days, then more like weeks and now several months have passed. Appreciate the brickfolio and all the effort you are putting in it but an update would be great so we can have an idea how to cope with it in the meantime, create a seperate excel, keep new sets seperate, etc.1 point
