  8. I put 4 days handling time on all of my Ebay sales. Mainly so I only have to drop off packages once or twice a week, but it also helps with the "unauthorized" purchases.

  9. Insta sold my used no minifigs 75046 Coruscant Police Gunship for $180 shipped. Maybe I underpriced it? It was minty with unused sticker sheet. Thanks to the OP that let me know the price on this had taken off. I have all of the other SW sets used from that run still to list but selling NIB is so much easier.

  10. I’ll go there - after the Ahsoka set the advent is the winner here. 2 Christmas sweaters!?! Plus Christmas Darth in an otherwise mostly sequel trilogy themed calendar? This is glorious madness.

  16. Yep, I've had the same problem on a few BIN sales of late. There's a small empty box under payment options that says "Require immediate payment with BIN". Not sure if there's a way to check this off in bulk listings, but you'd think it would be the default option...I mean, why would any seller want to give people the option to not pay right away?
    2 points
  17. You most definitely would benefit from setting up your BIN auctions with Immediate Payment Required.

  24. reminder to folks...the $600/week unemployment benefit (from Cares Act) expires end of July. read an article that says between 40% to 60% of unemployed collecting benefits are making more than if they were working....and about half don't realize it's supposed to end. The headlines are coming that will show what most employers are experiencing...can't compete w/ free cash and "safety of staying home"...any thinking Congress is going to extend that benefit past July is going to be let down. There is a hammer that's about to fall...will have obvious impacts on the LEGO resell market.

  28. The two 41318s that I left behind on saturday are now in my possession. Picked up some avengers sets that were added to the 50% sales. There were some overwatch sets but I gave them a pass, cleaned up some power functions sets as well. Good 30min run. All the MFs and Ties from Solo were gone, should have picked up some last week. I'm sitting on a few of the MFs and they are moving slowly.

  29. I mean, to be fair, the only sets I took a loss on were used. I sat on those three assembled architecture sets for years and years and they were just literally collecting dust on my shelf. I didn’t even have to disassemble them. also, are you guys really going to quibble over some used sets when my overall ROI is 38%? come on.

  30. I don't think that a lot of the people here realize that hundreds of Brickpickers are subscribed to this thread and every single time they post here it sends an alert to their phone and a email to them. This thread should be for deal postings only. Any and all other comments or questions should be going in other threads.

  31. nice. these were great. i had a ton too and am down to i think 5 or 6 though i thought i hid some in an unexpected location so that i would find them sometime later than if i had ready access to them. i just can't remember wtf that is now. if only magic crystal ball would tell me when that blue baseplate goes. i sold a smashed box tumbler yesterday for $369 , ocean monument for $225 , 20th ann snowspeeder for $90. fbm

  40. Not officially, but that's a great idea. 9 times out of 10 I've experienced this I've been able to save my hide by the sheer fact that it was a late night purchase I couldn't get around to until the morning. These people often buy a ton of things at once... So if eBay is going to catch it they'll do it soon. I've even had a couple of close calls where I was able to actually go to the post office or UPS and grab my package. I like your idea, I think I'm going to do something like that for anything over $300. I also make a point to look very closely at profiles who purchase these things... If they've been consistently buying things and have great feedback I usually don't worry about it. It's the ones who make a large purchase after months or years, despite a good profile, that you can usually be suspicious of. And of course the new accounts.

  42. Thanks to this forum my FOMO trio is now complete. Diner arrived from AMZ today, Treehouse from LEGO just shipped, and I have an Upside Down on backorder from LEGO as well. I normally chase EOL deals on big sets like these, but who knows what the future holds for these sets. At the very least, now my wife won't have to hear any more "The Stranger Thing set came back into stock briefly on AMZ again today but I missed it..." complaints! In other, but very much related news, I just dropped off an FBA shipment at UPS...

  46. the buyers do not necessarily compare all the stats - number of bricks, lifetime, post EOL period.. most of them might be just simply buying "the looks" (packaging). Packaging sells and Brick Bank's box art looks waay ahead of the Town Hall. Have people around you blindly choosing between those two boxes what they would rather buy (not knowing the price).
