I finally got around to putting this together. I love all those engines on the back and the odd proportions of the front. The little butter-yellow pieces are a little confusing to me but guessing they are there to add a little variation?4 points

Bought a tub full of random SW sets for $150 from a collector. No instructions or boxes. Finally got all the pieces sorted into their sets and found the following sets: 8x 75036 Utapau Troopers battle pack 5x 75035 Kashyyk Troopers battle pack 3x 75015 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid 75041 Vulture Droid 75080 AAT 75085 Hailfire Droid All had all of their minifigures except the 3 75015, they only had 2 Jango Fett and were missing the rest. All the stud shooters and ammo were missing from the 13 battle packs. But $7 shipped on bricklink got me 42 stud shooters and inserts and 130 trans medium blue 1x1 round plates. Also, from the same guy, got a 90% complete 75021 Republic Gunship, no minifigures, instructions or box for $45. After going through my stock I only had to order 40 pieces for $15 shipped on bricklink to finish it. Still debating on whether or not to order the $160 worth of minifigures or sell as is.4 points

On June 26th there is suppose to be some previous GWP made available again, redeemable in Rewards Center for VIP points. Like the small droid commander polybag, you'll redeem your points for a code, with which to use on a purchase to get the VIP-redeemed item shipped. The only one I want is the Fountain for personal use, but I can get it on ebay for $25. The rest of these aren't worth acting on (to me), and 40178 VIP has previously been available on the Rewards Center. https://www.brickfanatics.com/retired-lego-gwp-sets-coming-to-vip-reward-centre/ 40178 VIP 5006085 Red Brick 40221 Fountain 40269 Duplo Photo Frame3 points

Finally completed my Winter Village collection (ok, I don't have 10199, but I have the re-release). Built 10216 Bakery and 10222 Post Office after grabbing a partial lot for 10222 and bricklinking/borrowing from personal collection for the rest of the pieces. Still waiting for 1 sticker to arrive (for the pretzel sign) and need to change out the horse for the correct version, but this is now built with no substitutions from the original kit (even the tiles with clip and the 1x2 jumpers are the correct versions). I have to admit it is quite nerve-wrecking to put together a set when you know that the piece you are holding is going for $5-$10 used on BL. I'm looking at you, 8x8 plates in Trans-Blue, and you, brick arch 1x8x2 in Medium Nougat, and you, 8 plate 1x2 with handle on side in Tan. Total across EBay and BL (including the aforementioned expensive pieces, all stickers and manuals) will have set me back ~$230. Not cheap, but cheaper than picking them up second hand complete (each go for ~$200 used complete on EBay currently). I figured now was a better time than closer to the holidays to finish this project. Used the opportunity to try out my new lightbox for taking pictures, but ran out of space displaying both at the same time2 points

I wanted to create a new thread in order to give progress on my site updates. I want explain a bit on what happened and what I am doing. What happened with the site? Honestly nothing really exciting or dramatic, overall in the end, I did not want to support the host I was with for the past four years after not really offering too much help with managed servers. They would spend 30 seconds looking, say they can ping the server so its up and then just say, "hey not my problem". I was on aging hardware, paying the same amount of money, so I took the opportunity to move to a new host with better/faster hardware and a staff that does help to support you when run into an issue that you can't handle on your own. I have been doing this a long time and pretty good monitoring and handling 99% of what comes my way, but there are issues that you need the next level up to help figure out what to do. I wasn't getting anything like that, but paying for it. Not anymore. What my goal is... I know more than anyone that the site needed some TLC. It's been a while since I have done any drastic updates, the site looked tired and I know the site can be so much better than what it's current state was. LEGO investing has changed since Ed and I launched the site and it's time to remove the dead content and bring more of what people are looking for. Below is the short term list of items planned for updating. I have been working on the nightly, just like the early days and enjoying seeing parts of it coming to life. Fix the login. This has been messed up and quirky for a while. This has been resolved and working well. It's a simple thing overall, but nice that it actually works how it's supposed to Overall price guide site design update. The site was tired and disjointed. I hated it and pained me to look at it. Time to start over. Brickfolio update. All the Brickfolio data is safe. I have close to three million rows of data for Brickfolio entries. Time to bring this thing to 2020. I will probably create another thread at some point to solicit some feedback on some new requests for the brickfolio Fix the data syncing with Brickset. A lot of people used this feature, but it's time to make it work the way it should. Later I will work on the content portions. The news and blogs. I have some good ideas for this, but want to get the price guide and brickfolio to you sooner than later. What I am asking for if possible... If you can, please stop asking where the brickfolio is. Again, the data is safe and I am working as fast as I can to bring it all back to you. It won't be a few days, but more like a few weeks, but it will be worth it. I setup my dev environment to push releases quick and easy. I want to create a true changelog so that you can follow updates to see what was done/fixed/new/removed, you know like what real software companies do. I really do appreciate your patience with this. It wasn't planned, but if there was going to be a time to do it, it was going to be now.1 point

I take it you are not in the US? I don't see any selling for the price you are talking about. Also, $26.99 - 2.70 Ebay fees - @$1.00 in Paypal fees - @$4 to ship - 10.39 purchase price equals $8.90 in profit. Not terrible if you have a ton of these and have a process down but I just don't see these numbers playing out right now based on sold listings.1 point

Hmm... I think the price has gone up on these since you sold yours. One sold 2 days ago with no minifigures, instructions or box for $300 +shipping. After seeing that sale kinda makes me want to skip the minifigs. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3530931560261 point

Yes. People don't like surprises. I've found that people will pay more for a set if you photograph it well and disclose any imperfections in the description -- including stickers that are normally not present. I've sold plenty of sets with stickers that I was afraid would damage the box if I tried to remove them (even with the heat gun). And I can of the few thousand sets I've sold, not one has ever been returned because of box condition -- and I've sold a few with seals completely busted, but photographed the contents all placed out. If not disclosed, or you use generic stock photos, then you may find customers returning items that they expect to be pristine when even boxes straight out of the LEGO shipping boxes may have blemishes. There can be some unrealistic expectations out there -- but if I'm buying a set, I'd rather buy one that I know has a few stickers and dents than roll the dice and get one that looks like it was used for punching practice. Plus, these stickers are still officially LEGO and how many of them are going to exist in the long-run? Collectors may find them "rare" and pay more for boxes decorated with "Coronastickers". And if you are buying sets today with coronastickers, there's a good chance they haven't seen much shelf wear -- or likely never touched a shelf. I've noticed that the majority of my sets with coronastickers are coming from Target. And all in the last week. I haven't noticed any from Amazon or Walmart yet. Since Target sets that end up on the shelves almost always have the Target security sticker right on the front face, I'm much preferring the coronastickers.1 point

One of the best thing I did for the reselling gig was being sure I had proper shipping supplies. It makes the job 100% easier. I carry about 6-8 different size boxes so I have what I need to be efficient in my shipping. I also bought a bubble pillow maker.1 point

I can confirm this. I just drove around to 10 different Staples and none of them had Lego.1 point

Pssshh, Listen here. You didn't fork over $800 USD for this Lamborghini set. You don't get a "special card" and should accept the poor resolution promotional images as your reward. The "Black Card" is only for esteemed connoisseurs of Lego. You, petty peasant, are not worthy. Do not pass go, go straight to jail, so you get NOTHING! YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR! Lego fans and their "demands"...1 point

And also, my B&N run for the past weekend I spend around $12k (retail). PA just allowed curbside pickup since 6/5. I got: Great Hall x 8 Great Wall of China 21041 x 12 Capital Building 21030 x 7 Tree Hose 21318 x 21 (Maybe it's risky, due to it's still new in Idea line, great reward since LEGO.com still saying it's out of stock without a date) Saturn V 21309 x 6 Voltron 21311 x 281 point

I bought a used Santa's Workshop this past December and finally made sure all the pieces were there. They were only about 5 missing pieces that I ordered on BrickLink along with other pieces I needed for personal use. I already have this set for myself as part of my winter village scene and this is the second one I have found, one new and this one used, both for a combined $90. It was not a nightmare to count before Christmas..1 point

So this was my project for the week. I wanted to turn the Hidden Side Shrimp Shack into a MOD. It's not as polished as many that I see but I worked with the pieces I had on hand. I only had two of those brown arches so I just used white till I find some. So if any of you guys have some in your store please send the link.1 point
