  1. Time to check for treehouses when I get up to pee. That should give me three or four chances a night. On a separate note, I need to make a doctor’s appointment.

  3. No, I just check every so often. I often work harder and not smarter. I was up letting the cat out, so decided to check.

  8. Possible replies: I will gladly delete your bids if you delete your eBay account so nobody else has to deal with your stupidity. Unfortunately I can't delete bids. The only way I know to get rid of a bid is if you delete you eBay account before the auction ends so they cannot charge you for the item. Also, they'll know if you come back and apply any old delinquencies to you new account.

  9. I haven't built a Technic set in a looong time. got this one to try out in hopes it would hold my Ferrari and such... success:) Impressive build for sure. As fun as it is to build it actually felt like I was building with a different medium. Again, quite fun BUT think after i finish the trailer, Ill stick to modular, spaceships and more classic build structures incorporating gears and motors when needed.

  10. Finished up two more pirate ships and now I'll take a break, and maybe take them apart and pack them back up again. (Although the flagship still calls to be rebuilt first) The OG Black Seas Barracuda is still awesome, even if it shows its age in a couple of spots. The Minifigure selection is great and the sails are in excellent condition. I'll have to replace a couple of pieces due to clasps breaking bit nothing too serious and much better quality than newer sets. The yellow really pops on this one. Black Pearl is a favourite of mine because of how sleek it looks in all black, but it's a major pain to dust.

  12. This is interesting for Shanghai because Lego is doing a 150+ store expansion in China, which was supposed to be done by the end of this year. That's a lot of Lego stores!

  18. To confirm what's been stated in this thread, the Michael's coupons ALWAYS exclude Lego. (For any Hot Wheels fans, they also are always excluded.) The best bet will be to purchase a giftcard at a discounted percentage. Just a comment from a longtime lurker who tries to save a few pennies on Legos.

  19. I agree...and my boy doesn't have his own phone so the LAST thing I need is for him to have ANOTHER reason to ask for my phone...honestly every time he borrows my phone or tablet to do something legit...it always ends up with him moving on to gaming when I loose track of what he's doing. if its just LEGO bricks the worse thing he could do is set death traps for my bare feet.

  20. got it today! I'm a total box geek so... WOW!! if I hadn't sold it already I would be happy to have it on my shelf. also bravo to LEGO for the additional barrier in the shipping box. the typical plain shipping box was squashed and I was worried... the hot rod squashed... but this custom shipper box was good to go! whew....

  21. I don't know if I would say "every" set is a good seller. Not a single Hidden Side set is backordered. Several are even on sale at this time and still not sold out. Hidden Side Train has been 25% off for over a week at Target and you can still buy qty of 10 for shipping (https://www.target.com/p/lego-hidden-side-ghost-train-express-70424-augmented-reality-ar-toy-train-building-kit-697pc/-/A-75667055). Hidden Side reminds me of a sports study done in the USA many years ago trying to determine why inner city kids typically do not play baseball or hockey. It was determined it was the cost of equipment. Inner city kids were more likely to play basketball or soccer because all you needed was one kid with a ball and a hoop or target (goal). Hidden Side sets are nice, but unless your kids have access to devices, they're not able to play with it to its fullest. For those parents (like myself) whose kids already spend too much time on electronics, LEGO was supposed to be the escape from electronics. I have to admit, the videos advertising the Hidden Side actually turn me off. A group of kids standing around a LEGO set playing electronic devices? Kids are already doing that. Why would I need to buy a slightly more expensive LEGO set sitting in the middle of them not being played with?

  23. Stranger Things set...my local LEGO brick & Mortar store start curb-side pickup (last weekend) so I got the "last one"..I have been actively waiting for them to open up but thought due to the riots no way they would re-open last weekend...that assumption costed me the big Hogwarts (which the clerk said sold out last weekend). I flipped that one for $200 profit earlier too. Anyway happy to get (back) this set for my personal collection which I flipped a month ago for $100 profit...but I am now all fingers crossed for the Hogwarts coming back.

  24. That's some good thinking. Even more reason to sell now and think about buying later, whether that's 6 months or 2 years from now I figure most of us are in it for the long haul and can wait for the best price on a used set once things calm down.

  25. I'm of the opinion that there may be a glut of used sets hitting the market soon...a lot of seals were broken in the last few months...inventory of used sets will go up (ofcourse there may also be an uptick of bargain hunters as well).

  26. Sounds like someone missed out big on exclusives and is trying to get someone to bite and cause a price crash. There is nothing source wise out there for this... I've checked all the regular spots. He can't even get the numbers right in each thread. Sorry man, you snooze you lose.

  28. It's crazy that we live in a world where people can't handle their feelings and emotions so companies feel the need to do this. I understand if someone is upset by what's going on in the world, but to find toys, that have been on the shelves for years, suddenly offensive is overreaction at its finest.

  30. Also think it would be good to have an update. Issue first would took days, then more like weeks and now several months have passed. Appreciate the brickfolio and all the effort you are putting in it but an update would be great so we can have an idea how to cope with it in the meantime, create a seperate excel, keep new sets seperate, etc.

  31. Bought a loose ewok village in a bin from craigslist about 9 months ago for $150, and the lady said it should be close to complete and will come with extra pieces and about 30+ extra minifigures. I finally got around to it this weekend. All the ewok village pieces were placed in ziplocs and when I pulled them out, there were a bunch of instruction manuals underneath. I got super excited when I saw what instructions were included, but then the excitement faded when I looked at the rest of the pieces in the bin, and they were mostly grey. Only a few gunship white pieces and some blue pieces from the Coruscant Police Gunship. Sad. The bulk of the Jek-14 main body is there, but that's about it. On the plus side, there are some nice figs from the extras that she threw in with the deal. Most of the ewok village figures are there (not pictured), so far wicket is missing. Also, I have twelve of those big circle pieces (two per wheel) from the clone turbo tank, but no instructions. I got a lot of work ahead of me.

  32. Not so much as build, and not even rebuild, but move. I build the GE ages ago, and it’s been in display forever. I’ve wanted to move it to a MILS plate forever. I recently built the PC and began with that on a MILS plate for a base. So getting the GE on that as a base means I can display them together.

  33. It would be nice to have updates every 15 days...It is bad if we can'ft follow the progress that is going on. Time is passing by and we would like to know if Brickfolio will be active soon. Mai is gone and....chanses are that work will not be over quite soon. ..The issues the site had are something very, very unexpected being in 2020.

  40. I was pleased with the outcome of set 75093, “Death Star Final Duel” from 2015. While not entirely screen accurate, the kids enjoyed the extra play features. Also, happy this set only cost me $55 two months ago.

  42. I finally decided to build my May the 4th GWP. It is definitely lacking. So I tried to improve it. It would honestly be better with a X-Wing in the lead followed by the A-Wing, but I'm lacking parts to make a white X-Wing in micro scale. I also shortened the tail fins on the A-Wing. I added a second gun tower. In RoTJ, the entrance was surrounded by turrets.

  44. Updated tracking (well, changed tracking description really, since they only changed the wording of the old tracking). Apparently "Civil unrest" is no longer delaying my package - It is now delayed due to "Civil demonstration".

  45. The inerrant bidder that really pissed me off was the guy who sniped one of my auctions for a new Palace Cinema and paid immediately only to say (my paraphrase), "I'm sorry, I already have one of these. I thought your auction was for an assembly square. Do you happen to have one of those instead?" *facepalm* The guy had over 300 feedback too.
