Yes, I’ve sold the 3 that I bought at retail 5+ years ago. Not a lot of profit but some. Glad to be rid of them. It’s a good feeling when you get bailed out on a dumb buying decision.5 points

The warehouse is probably so empty they can find boxes of these previously covered by pallets of sets4 points

Small-timer here again. Total sales since I started selling again 30 days ago have been $4300. Just sold two sets today: 10227 B-Wing $380 75060 Slave I $280 No hassle local sale.3 points

I think they cleaned the warehouse. I found more old poly's listed, such as the Satellite polybag and Mia's water craft (just to mention a few). Also Cute Pug and The Raptor Playpen, A friends Remote Controlled boat polybag, Marvel Royal Talon fighter .... still scrolling through all 918 listed items Of course it wouldn't be LEGO without this kind of nonsense:3 points

People on Mercari annoy me. Sending low ball offers, then when countered or denied, tell you why your item won't sell. So now when I have a very expensive set listed that gets bombarded with stupid comments, and it sells elsewhere, I'll "promote" the item on Mercari at 50% or more off and then immediately delete it. They get the notification on the app, but the item is gone. Then the fools with bombard me on other listings asking if I still have it, or offer me slightly more than the promotion price. They wasted my time, so I hope the regret of missing out on an imaginary great deal wastes their time. Also, related, I sold a sealed Detective's Office on Bricklink2 points

My personal packaging experience (not to be confused with checkout/fulfillment experience): Barnes & Noble (60-80 sets) > LEGO Shop at Home (500+) > Target (1000's) > Blain's (200+) > Walmart (1000's) > Michael's (400+) > Macy's (300+) > Amazon (1000's) > Shopko (RIP) )(100's) > TRU (RIP) (100's) > Belk (300+) > Kmart (100+) > Kohl's (500+)2 points

Be prepared for damaged sets and ones shipped in white plastic bags. Kohl's is the same way.2 points

Just an observation of the Bricklink forums... but I can't be the only one that thinks there are too many sellers that act like babies over there crying over every little thing or small expense they have to absorb. You would think that margins are so tight that $5 is going to crash their year. IDK, maybe it's me with the problem with seeing their problems and being like "huh, big whoop and get over it"2 points

I just received a message from someone who wanted a lower price stating "with all of the riots in Los Angeles I have to be more frugal with my money". But I guess it never hurts to ask.2 points

Once the item is shipped out, and gets safely delivered to the authorized address - you have done your job.1 point

Same here. Sold my last two that have been sitting in storage for years. Made only a little profit but still felt good.1 point

In the meantime those savvy qfll’s are raking it in... on another note anyone managed to shift T1’s at a profit? Thinking of dumping mine ASAP1 point

With Mexico plant shutdown stock from the European factories that would have normally been sold in Europe were diverted to the Americas. Also, Lego ceased brick production and produced face masks for a while in at least one of their plants. Not sure if they are still doing this or not. But technically your statement is true because the UK has no Lego production facilities, therefore they cannot have any issues. The combination of the above stuff has led to a shortage though during a time of increased demand.1 point

There's no way to predict...they fulfill from both warehouse and stores, so those 5 might all come separately bagged from 5 different stores.1 point

Michaels has dropped prices on a couple more sets....nothing great, but a discount is a discount these days... https://www.michaels.com/lego?pmid=onclearance1 point

There are a lot a amazing and great stores out there, but unfortunately there are plenty of duds as well. The amount of Thumbs Down stores I have marked is too high.1 point

LEGO used to put "limited" on their boxes all the time. But even back then, it didn't really mean much.1 point
-
If that were so why wouldn’t they place, at least the expected, EOL of each set on their site?1 point

But its for the european Market. And they are already available at a lot of stores, even smaller ones. I def. think its meant to be quantity. The only exclusive for Lego.com and Smyths in Germany is the Burrow-Set. But I just wanted to point it out, everyone has to think about it for themselves.1 point
-
all that it says that is available only to certain chains - like Target, Smyths etc. AVAILABILITY does not mean QUANTITY.1 point

Steering clear of Architecture sets is the best decision you'll ever make. Dont be afraid yo pull the trigger on those SW sets either. Go big or go home!1 point

What kind of overstock store did you find that at!? I wish I had access to something remotely like that. Great find, I agree with the other poster, sell it now and buy later. It will more than likely come back in stock. If not, the price will still likely drop after this pandemic spike.1 point

This is me fighting with myself not to buy LEGO everyday at RRP and - 5-10% and waiting for better times...1 point

Bought a loose ewok village in a bin from craigslist about 9 months ago for $150, and the lady said it should be close to complete and will come with extra pieces and about 30+ extra minifigures. I finally got around to it this weekend. All the ewok village pieces were placed in ziplocs and when I pulled them out, there were a bunch of instruction manuals underneath. I got super excited when I saw what instructions were included, but then the excitement faded when I looked at the rest of the pieces in the bin, and they were mostly grey. Only a few gunship white pieces and some blue pieces from the Coruscant Police Gunship. Sad. The bulk of the Jek-14 main body is there, but that's about it. On the plus side, there are some nice figs from the extras that she threw in with the deal. Most of the ewok village figures are there (not pictured), so far wicket is missing. Also, I have twelve of those big circle pieces (two per wheel) from the clone turbo tank, but no instructions. I got a lot of work ahead of me.1 point

Just an fyi, Walmart has the Hidden Side High for $75 and the Lighthouse for $30 in store. Most don't have them marked down yet but they scan that price.1 point

Here is my sob story. Was never able to get any kind of info from Ebay as to what happened, or why. Disney Train I got on black Friday. Selling for 315.00 Gets purchased and paid for. I pack it up, ready to ship next day. Print Label that night. Late the next day, one hour before postal run, I get a message from buyer saying their account has been hacked and want me to cancel. No biggie, I do just that. Had not shipped item so all good, right? So, I immediately relist the item. Sells again a couple days later to new buyer. This time I send it off. A day later I get a message from the new buyer that their account has been hacked and they want me to cancel. Of course after the 300$ set is in the mail. Luckily I was able to stop the shipment mid transit, for a cost of course, and have it sent back. Both buyers were in different states and had decent(100+) feedback. Both bought the same item, both said account was hacked. eBay gave me no information and I refunded both buyers after eBay gave me the green light. Got my Train back, with a headache in return. The train has now been banished from eBay.0 points
