  1. I knew this statement would serve as a beckoning call that would bring @LegoSteve forth from his U.S. Capitol fortress of solitude.

  2. The warehouse is probably so empty they can find boxes of these previously covered by pallets of sets

  3. I found a new in box Hogwarts 71043 at an over stock store for $200. One of the corners had damage. I have bought some sets from the same store before and opened the box to find a handful of legos, some gi Joe's, and a popsicle stick so I had to open it to ensure it was intact. The set was 100%. I planned on a quick flip but the more I look at it the harder it is to want to sell it.

  4. Bought a loose ewok village in a bin from craigslist about 9 months ago for $150, and the lady said it should be close to complete and will come with extra pieces and about 30+ extra minifigures. I finally got around to it this weekend. All the ewok village pieces were placed in ziplocs and when I pulled them out, there were a bunch of instruction manuals underneath. I got super excited when I saw what instructions were included, but then the excitement faded when I looked at the rest of the pieces in the bin, and they were mostly grey. Only a few gunship white pieces and some blue pieces from the Coruscant Police Gunship. Sad. The bulk of the Jek-14 main body is there, but that's about it. On the plus side, there are some nice figs from the extras that she threw in with the deal. Most of the ewok village figures are there (not pictured), so far wicket is missing. Also, I have twelve of those big circle pieces (two per wheel) from the clone turbo tank, but no instructions. I got a lot of work ahead of me.

  6. Steering clear of Architecture sets is the best decision you'll ever make. Dont be afraid yo pull the trigger on those SW sets either. Go big or go home!

  8. While you're thinking about building it again, consider this modular building alternate build requiring nothing except for the London Bridge set itself: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-11989/InyongBricks/10214-tower-bridge-alternative-build/#comments

  9. I think some are even slated for Aug 1st at this point....kind of a sh*tshow! The normal August release this year could be interesting, especially if they postpone June releases and try to release the August wave at the same time.... I am looking forward to quite a few of these new sets...hope to see them sooner than later

  10. I just received a message from someone who wanted a lower price stating "with all of the riots in Los Angeles I have to be more frugal with my money". But I guess it never hurts to ask.

  11. could be anything, we are just firing the shots.. all in all - whoever likes "those", should buy them. I like only (a bit) Astronomical tower but even that shades in comparison to Clock Tower which I find much more better.

  12. all that it says that is available only to certain chains - like Target, Smyths etc. AVAILABILITY does not mean QUANTITY.

  16. Ha! Yeah Architecture is a hill I will gladly die on any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Although I have learned to finally embrace diversity to a certain point. Instead of sticking to 15 or less SKUs that I've been doing since 2013, I'm now at 50+ SKUs but no huge quantities like good old Architecture. I do plan on going deep into a non-Architecture set on August 1st. Hoping to grab at least 500 units with a stretch goal of 1000. We'll see how it goes.

  17. weird. just came out in January. still in stock at all retailers. would be something to have a 6 month surprise retirement of this set.... but more likely what really is happening is that sales of this set stink and TLG is trying to "Lucy" us into buying a bunch b4 switching off the SOLD OUT.

  25. There are some thirsty people for this set to have it already on Backorder. Was the Porsche and Bugatti release just as quickly on backorder?

  26. I doubt it. Think it will stay until at least end of 2021.

  28. Retail space may be a premium, but warehouse space is relatively cheap. I predict the Great Hall will linger into early / mid 2021 online with a massive final production later this year. That has been LEGOs MO for the last year or two. We will see. Even still, it's a nice set that will do fine with or without a discount.

  32. I just got "bought wrong set" and I canceled, but as usual have to pay the paypal fee. Last time I tried to refund minus the paypal fee which the buyer nicely agreed to, it was a pain to then get in touch to ebay to have them manually set up the FVF refund..... Not sure it's worth it to keep the paypal fee...

  33. Can I pay for premium yet? I am barely involved in Lego now, but it's the least I can do after all the money I've saved or made... and spent.

  39. Here’s the info I could find with a quick search. Not sure if the date has been determined for release yet. As a SC collector, lots of 6 wide builds between the ideas gwp, this and Cars in City 2020. Proving the demand for a 6 wide to cruise the modular Streets is there. Makes me even more curious why they would make that switch to 8wide? Anyways I digress. with all the out of stock and back order, the problem will be to find a set for the thresh hold.

  40. I just found this very well written article by @Fcbarcelona101 from 2015, where they clearly lay out the sets positive factors and they did a comp against robie house. how is this set not selling for 300 plus yet? There was a graph!!!! [me crying quietly in a corner]
