Just in time for a remake I'm sure haha. I have one palace, rancor pit, skiff, and sail barge left from that run. Really does make a nice collector's set.
Not so much as build, and not even rebuild, but move. I build the GE ages ago, and it’s been in display forever. I’ve wanted to move it to a MILS plate forever. I recently built the PC and began with that on a MILS plate for a base. So getting the GE on that as a base means I can display them together.
Even if it gets a restock - extremely popular set, will be nice returns Q4. Even at RRP I’ve made some money on these. Sometimes you snooze you lose. This is worth the gamble.
I think because of the current dumpster fieryness of the US, this made me strangely emotional today. We are capable of some incredible things when we work together.
I have moved my collection twice and am getting ready to move it for a third and final time. Biggest tip is to order several large rolls of stretch wrap. I keep the majority of my smaller built sets in those three drawer sterilite drawers. I have them under my city tables. I just wrap the whole thing and they are good. My bigger sets get broken down to smaller section and put into bags and grouped together in storage boxes. My unopened sets are on those rolling wire racks that many people use. Again I just stretch wrap the whole thing and roll it into the container. I dont trust anyone with my Lego so I load it myself into those U-store it containers and have it dropped off when im ready. That way nobody has access to it besides me.
I haven't built a Technic set in a looong time. got this one to try out in hopes it would hold my Ferrari and such... success:) Impressive build for sure. As fun as it is to build it actually felt like I was building with a different medium. Again, quite fun BUT think after i finish the trailer, Ill stick to modular, spaceships and more classic build structures incorporating gears and motors when needed.
Some happy kids in the house today. Nice luck to find Amazon was cheapest on 45023. Some happy kids in the house today. Nice luck to find Amazon was cheapest on 45023.
Wow, what a rough road this set has had.
I think it might have finally made it out of its hump. Its been picking up steam after dropping in price every other month.
No new Jabba sets in sight so maybe *crossed fingers* the long hold might pay out.
On a side note the Rancor Pit has been doing well
