A few years ago I picked up video games again and, while catching up, a couple of my favorites (Uncharted 2 & Far Cry 4) took place in South Asia. It inspired me to create a couple of smaller vehicles, which in turn led me to creating this entire project: Here's the full flickr gallery if you want to see more - as well as the link to the project in Ideas, if you're interested in adding your support: https://www.flickr.com/photos/142667034@N04/with/49940857112/ https://ideas.lego.com/projects/f9009263-d502-4284-a0e7-be215d19972a7 points

I have long since moved on to quintuple-boxing all my shipments. Especially polybags.3 points

Last BB-8 gone for $220, was the last of the Target Country specials ($55.20) I picked up last year. Going to miss Target country.3 points

Why wouldn't the Mexico plant closure affect UK stock? US stock is still coming in from somewhere... probably a majority from Europe. So they are cutting normal European stock levels to supply the US. Maybe this is why. I went to Target the other day and found this set with a white tag on the front. I remember someone here mentioned that the Europe version of lego sets does not have the piece/set information printed on the box, but it is required for the US version. It seems to me that these sets are from the Europe to meet the shortage in the US market.3 points

Thank you. In all seriousness... that is some pretty important nuance to understand. I think we all need to be on our toes for the rest of the year!2 points

Still going strong - Overall views topped out right about the time people started "opening up", but they are still more than double the pre-corona avg. Until production/distribution starts/catches up again - I would expect things to stay crazy busy. As someone mentioned, as your stock dries up, so will those sales - But people are still buying from whomever has the supply.2 points

yeah. I think a lot of people read it as, "don't worry, this won't effect things" I read it as "we will not be extending the life of products just because there is a shortage currently"2 points

How many sets typically end with the summer wave? I thought if a set was going to retire it would typically be after Christmas, right? What I got from the article was LEGO was not going to extend any retirement dates due to limited stock. So if they produce more before retirement, great, but the retirement date still stands and they will cease production as scheduled. Is that how anyone else read LEGO's response?2 points

A little update...All the prizes have been packaged and 5 of the 10 have shipped. I would like to thank Evans and West End Toys for shipping some of the prizes I had in consignment for free. Hopefully by the end of the week they will all be shipped. He has been very generous with regards to the raffle. Some big boxes left to ship across the country. 🤣2 points

Thank you to all the amazing people who have supported this raffle and in doing so also have helped St. Paul School. Our school would not survive without this raffle each year. A special thanks to Ed for all his hard work and for bringing this amazing raffle to our school. Not only are the children grateful for everything but as a parent I can tell you I am truly thankful for all the hard work that is put into this fundraiser. THANK YOU for keeping Saint Paul Strong!!!!2 points

i think its the other way around. watch europe, if sets dry up here when production has been unaffected, we might get indicatons of whats not coming back. USA might get the production run still but later than europe.1 point

Oh no, I'm not even putting DO in the shadow of a pretty good UCS set. And I have several turds in my inventory that won't move at all no matter what. So I know well enough that even time can't save every set.1 point

Wish I would have gotten more 75234... these seem to have flown under most reseller radar's and are quickly climbing in price. This is one set that definitely won't be back. I did just find one in a Kohl's for 25% off clearance... good use of my Kohl's cash from last week.1 point

It says it on the list of minifigures on the box. It is a different box as well.1 point

The LEGO House Architecture set (21037) is available for backorder from LEGO Shop at Home - limit 1. No discount but given the recent sale prices that hardly matters.1 point

Google Chrome will translate it for you in any language you want. The authorr that runs that website says that he has that from reliable sources that both Disney and Harry castles will not retire before the end of the year.1 point

After selling so much the last 8 weeks, and stock being so limited everywhere, I was starting to get FOMO that I wouldn't be able to get enough stock in again at decent prices. Alas, things are gradually being restocked now. Over the last couple of weeks, I've picked up 8x Cloud Cities (23% off), 4x Stranger things (25% off) 3x HP Castles (23% off), 6x Architecture London (20% off), a big bunch of Hidden side (40% off) and loads of other sets at 25% off too, incl Chinese new year sets. It's a tough gamble this year, but those ones felt "worth it". I guess we'll see! Maybe this is a lesson to those in worse-hit places - don't go too crazy paying too much for sets just yet. Most of the FOMO sets are coming back into mass-market stock here (Looking at you, Great Hall and HP Castle...)1 point

Finished up two more pirate ships and now I'll take a break, and maybe take them apart and pack them back up again. (Although the flagship still calls to be rebuilt first) The OG Black Seas Barracuda is still awesome, even if it shows its age in a couple of spots. The Minifigure selection is great and the sails are in excellent condition. I'll have to replace a couple of pieces due to clasps breaking bit nothing too serious and much better quality than newer sets. The yellow really pops on this one. Black Pearl is a favourite of mine because of how sleek it looks in all black, but it's a major pain to dust.1 point

When someone leaks it should be around August/September usually. I did post it last year & got nothing but querky replies. Won't do that again.1 point

Bought a 75257 Millennium Falcon from Game Stop yesterday for $50 and change after taxes. Three hours later it had been sold on Ebay for $220 + shipping. Quickest, easiest turn around I have had.1 point

You might want to up your price on this if you have more. I've sold 6 of them between $190-200 with free shipping on Ebay over the past month.1 point

the bigger issue is being forced to pay taxes on items that have already been taxed. If the seller procured merchandise pre-tax then I understand taxing the final sale; but for those of us who purchased retail and paid taxes...then what is owed to the government has been satisfied (IMO)...basically the government is double dipping and in many cases triple dipping or more.1 point

We’ll see. There’s two classes of people emerging from this—those who still have pay checks and jobs and those who are suffering likely irreparable damage to their lively hoods and careers. Summer camps and pools are going to be slow to reopen if at all, so likely some parents are going to be putting that money into something productive, like LEGO. I’m not too worried about things right now in terms of production. The big thing is to notice trends and quickly adapt to it and that is what makes this site and community so valuable.1 point

I'm sure the stimulus package helped but this is primarily being driven by people staying at home all the time and unable to go anywhere. As states start to open up and warmer weather comes I would expect this bubble to burst a little. A second wave either in the summer or the fall would probably make prices go back up.1 point

21309 was available today at Galeria.de for RRP, applying a coupon brings it down to 100. Watch out, may come back a second & third time, like Apocalypsburg.1 point
