Finished up two more pirate ships and now I'll take a break, and maybe take them apart and pack them back up again. (Although the flagship still calls to be rebuilt first) The OG Black Seas Barracuda is still awesome, even if it shows its age in a couple of spots. The Minifigure selection is great and the sails are in excellent condition. I'll have to replace a couple of pieces due to clasps breaking bit nothing too serious and much better quality than newer sets. The yellow really pops on this one. Black Pearl is a favourite of mine because of how sleek it looks in all black, but it's a major pain to dust.3 points

Nice. Going to have to build mine back up & get it listed. Been thinking about cutting a few of my personal sets. Current prices are going to get it done. Sold a 75954 Great Hall fbm for $229. I was not close to being the lower price. Hopefully not a scammer.2 points

A little update...All the prizes have been packaged and 5 of the 10 have shipped. I would like to thank Evans and West End Toys for shipping some of the prizes I had in consignment for free. Hopefully by the end of the week they will all be shipped. He has been very generous with regards to the raffle. Some big boxes left to ship across the country. 🤣2 points

I needed something to do for half an hour and watched PotC Curse of the Black Pearl so I built the renegade runner again before I start on the Pearl. Quick little build and I like the finished result because of how great the large sail looks.2 points

Thank you to all the amazing people who have supported this raffle and in doing so also have helped St. Paul School. Our school would not survive without this raffle each year. A special thanks to Ed for all his hard work and for bringing this amazing raffle to our school. Not only are the children grateful for everything but as a parent I can tell you I am truly thankful for all the hard work that is put into this fundraiser. THANK YOU for keeping Saint Paul Strong!!!!2 points

Why wouldn't the Mexico plant closure affect UK stock? US stock is still coming in from somewhere... probably a majority from Europe. So they are cutting normal European stock levels to supply the US. Maybe this is why. I went to Target the other day and found this set with a white tag on the front. I remember someone here mentioned that the Europe version of lego sets does not have the piece/set information printed on the box, but it is required for the US version. It seems to me that these sets are from the Europe to meet the shortage in the US market.1 point

That is interesting. I thought the same thing when I saw Vader's Castle go on backorder. Of course, it is also very telling which sets have never gone on backorder during this whole thing. I suspect we'll be seeing some sales in the fall for some of those sets.1 point

Sell it local on CL. Make a couple bucks and get a minty box later. You'll have two years to buy it once stock levels get back to normal. When I sell on ebay I always say the box may have creases or dents even if it's perfect. I don't want box queens buying my stuff.1 point

love playsets that can combine into a neat bundle..my biggest gripe (other than stepping on LEGO pieces) are large size sets w/ loose parts that go missing1 point

Are you noticing anything? You didn't even think it yourself. This wasn't precisely calculated by any of us, this has nothing to do with our analytic skills, in this economic crisis, we just happened to get lucky that everything turned out the way it did.1 point

Just got mine too...same packaging as baublitz...didn't open it yet. BTW...wow I haven't been here in ages. Sold my collection years ago...but bought this on total impulse. *shrugs*1 point

Yeah, I am not sure why, but it is part of their verification process. They had temporarily suspended that portion of the process when coronavirus first hit, but they have recently reinstated it.0 points
