I'm seeing some sold eBay listings today for around $350 with free shipping. For me, if I factor in $30 for shipping, I'd make about $13 if I sold at that price. Totally worth it for a free Beach Buggy.3 points

Here's the link for all your LEGO gamestop needs https://www.gamestop.com/toys-collectibles?q=LEGO&rule=price-high-to-low It is set to LEGO sets only and priced high to low already. NOTHING is in stock by me. There are HP sets from $100 to $50 and the clock tower is $90 to $26 and quidditch is only ELEVEN DOLLARS!.3 points

Nothing is impossible. LEGO sales are clearly up, and not just because of factory shutdowns restricting supply. See everyone's recent ebay/amazon sales to see real demand. You cannot say LEGO won't see this as an golden opportunity and attempt to to boost production. Now, are they cognoscente enough of the impending deflationary period to not overproduce once the dollars disappear? Must be some interesting discussions in their boardrooms.2 points

When someone leaks it should be around August/September usually. I did post it last year & got nothing but querky replies. Won't do that again.2 points

Wow... I just got mine today. Good job, Lego, with this one. The box size is perfect, and the free GWP was so small that they didn't have to worry about changing the box size. Mine is in mint condition, the only defect being a slight bulge on the top left on the front of the box. This set was so big that they have three tape seals on the top and bottom! Boy is it heavy.2 points

Gentle reminder that while you may get them to do it, price matching clearance/OOS items is almost always against any retailer's stated price match policies and generally frowned upon by many in the community. Visit ye olde Ethics thread for more thoughts if you are so inclined.2 points

I do like the fact that Lego is releasing sets at the same time the game comes out instead of waiting until the game has been out for a couple of years already.2 points

As others have said: You can't really predict. Even if you have the list, it will only help you in knowing what to buy - but which month it retires is a different story. It's pretty much safe to say the Black Friday carnage on Shop at Home last year won't repeat itself. So maybe no discounts at all as all the other retailers won't go down if LEGO sells out. And there is the possibility of sets disappearing without them producing anymore... it will say toos in June but it may be gone already...1 point

Just got mine too...same packaging as baublitz...didn't open it yet. BTW...wow I haven't been here in ages. Sold my collection years ago...but bought this on total impulse. *shrugs*1 point

I was able to buy several LEGO House Tree of Creativity (4000026) sets in the US by using the site Forward2me. I had never tried them before, but used their address so I could purchase the sets from the UK LEGO website and then they forwarded the packages to me (for a premium). It cost a bit, but still got them cheaper then what I’ve found on Amazon or eBay.1 point

on this side of the pond pretty much all the LEGO LEGO Shop at Home exclusives are "temporary out of stock" which we believe mainly attributed to the Mexico plant shut down. Hearing about a shortage of Disney Castle in the UK suggest that its scarceness is not due to the Mexico plant issue...is the big Hogwarts Castle readily available over there?1 point

If you go to the B&N website, type in “Lego retiring” you will see a bunch of sets. Some are already retired, but there’s quite a few not on the list a few pages back. Regardless, I still believe (hope) there will be some surprises.1 point

That is probably it. July retirement lists typically aren't as long as end of year lists.1 point

Thank you for posting this. I don't think I've ever been able to find a sale price like this around me. I had to find a store 30 mi away that had anything in stock, but I was able to pick up a hidden side bus and a hidden side train $45 combined w/ tax.1 point

This upcoming Holiday season is going to be .... interesting. We’re coming close to the time where they are ramping up production for that season, and now they have to balance that with filling backorders, shipping summer sets to stores etc. Could create some interesting opportunities assuming people still want to spend money on presents this Christmas ....1 point

I like these, but they look like they may be fairly easy to Bricklink. At least the BrickHeadz had some unique prints.1 point

Nice to see Chris McVeigh's work being made into actual sets. He's made a lot before so maybe this release could be a test to see if they catch on and more to be released later.1 point

Just picked up a Mining Experts Site (60188) for $80 at Target. 50% RRP so more discount than I'm used to seeing here. Catch has it for $88 but I've never bought from them before.1 point

My first post... I have multiple sources that the sets listed below will retire this year. Got my information from: LEGO Customer Service, a trustworthy guy who has worked with LEGO for 10 years, famous german LEGO blogs like Stonewars or Brickstory 10243 Parisian Restaurant 10254 WHT 21309 Apollo 70620 NC 21313 SIAB 76105 Hulkbuster 21314 TL 75181 Y-Wing 21311 Voltron 75222 CC 21315 Pop Up Book 80103 (already gone!) Maybe: 71040 Disney Castle The castle was marked to retire in July this year, but they changed it. No specific date given. Could retire this winter, I doubt it though. Many other sets I listed are unlikely to retire in my opinion, like the Saturn V, but that's what !all! my sources told me!1 point
