  1. I finally finished up 10195 - Republic Dropship w/ AT-OT this morning. My son and I broke out some of the other Clone Wars and ROTS sets for play time.

  3. I was pleased with the outcome of set 75093, “Death Star Final Duel” from 2015. While not entirely screen accurate, the kids enjoyed the extra play features. Also, happy this set only cost me $55 two months ago.

  5. Between the various build techniques, style of architecture, playful designer video, and how much this reminds me of the retired Tower of Terror ride, this set is built on pure win. It just works on so many levels. Perhaps a bit small beside any of the modular houses the Creator series is well known for and there are some borrowed elements from the prior Haunted House but still a delicious design for such a dastardly denizen of Lego's legendary lineup. Also I can see having this in a sort of Universal Studios' backlot where all those prop houses are kept.

  8. Growing up playing Super Mario Bros 3 the frog suit was one of my favorite suits, and have no idea why. I wasn't that useful except for swimming without having to continuously tap A to swim. I also loved the Tanooki (Racoon) suit and how you could tune to stone. Oh, and not really a suit, but being able to sit inside that boot and hop around... so awesome and great memories

  10. got 6 71043 from LEGO store last week for curbside pickup. Paid $400 each. Sold them all on eBay within 48 hours range from $619 to $629 each before fees. So after fee and free shipping, I net around $100 each for quick flip.

  15. Recent rumors suggesting that those 10-13 pcs sets for $10 are different "costumes" for Mario to wear. Fire-, Flying-, Cat-, and Builder-Mario.

  16. Might be a good time to grab a couple of these: $255 FS no tax for 31313 Mindstorms @ Zavvi, retiring soon. Might not be the best price historically but it's OOS lots of places and may not come back. Questionable how it will compare value-wise to the successor, but it seems like a solid set we can at least make our money back on. https://slickdeals.net/f/14052212-lego-mindstorms-ev3-robot-building-kit-31313-254-99-free-shipping?src=frontpage

  17. It's a good thing for the seller (minus the expense) , but a real PITA for most buyers (during normal times). There are many households that don't have anyone home when mail is delivered.

  20. I suspect it will not be easy (if even possible) for LEGO to catch up - I suspect that many sets will go eol that weren't planned to be ending, as they choose to focus on the winners (and attempt to keep up production plans on new sets).

  22. Unbelievable. I am not sure what is more shocking. That I won(sorry Ed, I'm one of the Califorian's) OR that this is my 1st ever post. I have been a member and a follower of countless threads on this site for over 6 years now. It is built into my day to pull the site up 5, 10, 25 times a day. Everyday. I read practically every post in damn near every thread. I just don't ever post, it's just not my thing. But I am very much appreciative of Ed and Jeff Mack and everybody that makes the site the way it is(regardless if you post regularly or never at all). I don't buy tickets every year thinking I will win, I do it to help you help a good cause, I do it as my "payment or thank you" for the enjoyment and knowledge of brickpicker. So in case I never post again thank you for all that you guys do and thank you for pulling one of my numbers

  23. I finally decided to build my May the 4th GWP. It is definitely lacking. So I tried to improve it. It would honestly be better with a X-Wing in the lead followed by the A-Wing, but I'm lacking parts to make a white X-Wing in micro scale. I also shortened the tail fins on the A-Wing. I added a second gun tower. In RoTJ, the entrance was surrounded by turrets.

  28. We finished up the 4482 Star Wars AT-TE set over the weekend. Great set considering it’s from 2003. Final product looks better than Captain Rex’s AT-TE 75157 that the kids built last summer. Forgot to get a comparison pic. Next up from the FB lot: 7163 Rebublic Gunship.

  30. I wish are profiles would show which state we live in. Over the years I have been able to get an idea of where members are located. Alpine Maps is in Switzerland, Exciter1 lives in an Amish community and Darth_Raich is on a Death Star somewhere.
