You are the seller right? Nobody said you need to complete this transaction. If driving 30 mins each way and doing this through Paypal makes you uncomfortable, just tell the prospective buyer that you won't do it. There will be another customer.4 points

Sold a Palace Cinema (open box, sealed bags) - the seals had stretched so I just opened it up lest anyone think it had been tampered with. Buy in $95, sold for $305 + shipping. My best was a lot of sealed bags I purchased for $20 ended up being a Brick Bank + one extra sealed bag for a Ninjago Movie Strider set. I purchased a new instructions + I had a new tan base plate ($5). So for roughly $30 invested I sold it new, sealed bags, no box for $345 + shipping.3 points

That windmill is a stunner. I'll take that over any of the 26 under review.3 points

This day and age, what goes on the background of video chats has become a big deal. For professionals they are for sure giving it a lot of consideration as backgrounds has become a thing. Her choosing LEGOs (hers or son's) still highlights the image that LEGO is both high-end and desirable. "Normal" won't happen for at least a year or two...if at all. LA county declared SIP through August at a minimum1 point

Got two Assembly Squares from Walmart last week that we're damaged in transit and then reboxed by FedEx and delivered by a truck that had a detergent spill in it so you don't have to decide!1 point

I managed to go all the way to payment with 2 in my cart before it conked out just 15 mins ago. I do think there were some available. Too bad I had to check out as guest and enter all my info - that probably killed my chance of grabbing these.1 point

There are no extra clicks when buying from someone who has calculated shipping. Matter of fact, if you are searching for only free shipping then you are clicking more... Anyway, I was just trying to help people who live on the coast save a few bucks in shipping... do with it what you want.1 point

I ran it all three ways for an extended test period - free shipping vs. flat rate for all vs. actual shipping. "Free Shipping" turned out to be the best option for me. So many buyers expect it these days - Amazon makes the rules. And Ebay has hidden way of pushing you in that direction. Like the "shipping end-of-value fee" - this is where Ebay charges your buyer $14 and you only calculate $12.50 shipping. Talk about fees that add up quickly - that one's a killer. At some point it makes sense to stopping fighting the Fed.1 point

Just learned about Zelle a few weeks ago, when I had a repeat buyer want to drop some cash on me for some UCS sets. I was amazed to see the deposit show up in my checking account moments after he sent it. Certainly good enough for me to hand them over for an in person transaction.1 point

The bigger the set, the more pieces that it needs, the harder it may be to fill the complete list. We know LEGO makes individual pieces in batches (not per set); a unique piece batch may be held off until the more common ones get made. Also the bigger the set the smaller the target buyer size. These two factors based on supply chain and down economy suggests that the big sets are more attractive for LEGO to retire early...and the ones that have no licensing constraints even more so. Just my thoughts based on my limited understanding. I have no insider info.1 point

I received some Beauxbaton Carriages in a Little Debbie box the other day, so yes, it appears they are getting creative. They arrived in mint condition though so it was all good. That box would concern me though since it's not fully closed on top. Yikes...1 point

Just finished building this beauty. Bought NISB for $350 and was deliberating whether to flip for profit. Glad I build it. Probably can sell for higher my buy in anyway.1 point

Rebuilt one of my favorite sets from my top 3 themes. I now have 3 of them so will try to make a larger MOC. I purchased this set back in 2010 when my son was 1 and had it in his room (out of reach) for over a year. Then it was put into the box and forgotten about. 7621 Indiana Jones & The Lost Tomb. Too bad a Well of Souls wasn’t made.1 point

I pulled a 7676 out of bulk a long time ago. I’ve got it in a box, just never built it. Guess I need to do that now.1 point

This past Sunday my son and I went up to New Jersey to meet Ed Mack and to pick up the Kingdoms castle display case you he had for sale. It was well worth the three-hour drive to meet one of the founders of the BrickPicker community and to spend time with a fellow Lego fan/enthusiast. He showed me his collection and we share a passion for many of the same themes (Star War, Space, and Castle). I am still in awe! It was so nice to meet Ed, who along with his brother Jeff has done so much for Lego community and through the raffle for his beloved St. Paul School. As part of the deal for the display case, I am donating to the BrickPicker Lego raffle. I am glad I can support his cause. With Ed’s permission, I am posting a picture of us. He is the more handsome one!1 point
