I got about 5 extra minifigures in a used DropShip and AT-OT set...turned out it was from the new Kylo Ren Shuttle set (ie KNights of Ren) and together worth about $75 (BL)...I was like CaCHING! then I started feeling bad because it was probably a mistake. So I contacted the seller. Long story short, his son died due to drugs and he was finally selling away his prized sets. He chose me to give the great deal on the Dropship (he had many offers) which I was absolutely floored to see the set in pristine condition w/ stickers still not applied. He chose me because I noted that I was planning to build w/ my son so he accepted my discounted offer. I ended up just buying the rest of the Kylo Shuttle set from him at about market. anyway...it's weird how a set can have its own story. The dropship is a bucket list set so I will probably have until I can pass on to my grandkids (god willing)...7 points

For the builders out there, there is a pretty good Saturn V Launch Tower MOC that uses this set as its sole source of parts. Not perfect, but pretty darn good bit of re-engineering. So, if you like that, grabbing the bus set at a discount isn't all bad. (Link: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-34528/BennyBenster/saturn-v-mobile-launcher/?inventory=1#comments)6 points

I live on the East coast and used to offer free shipping. I grew tired of losing money to shipping on the West coast, so now I charge actual shipping. I factor the cost of shipping to Chicago to price my items up. It has been a better approach for me. The reality is that it is expensive to ship to the West coast and pricing up an item to include the actual cost of shipping to LA or Seattle makes it impossible to sell. Well, this is my experience anyway.5 points

Free from my uncle. He got them on a job site from the garbage pile. Lady was throwing everything out. She just wanted her garage redone. Looks like the Town Hall will be mostly complete. Box is junk. Instructions are ok though. There are a couple of 4 numbered Fire sets, some Lego movie sets and others as well. A bunch of random sealed bags too..4 points

My final 10220 VW Bus will be leaving my house on Monday. Amazing what a global disaster will do.2 points

Right now things are selling so fast that it doesn't seem to matter though about losing sales from further away.2 points

Finally decided on an entrance style to my space- themed rollercoaster. Luckily I was able to model a few of the letters after the creator expert rollercoaster letters but had to improvise on the S and also on how to connect the A over the junction between the two curved track pieces. I like the use of the 1990s red posts from my original space shuttle set. I'm not an expert builder, this amusement park takes lots of experimenting and dinking around.2 points

Just finished building this beauty. Bought NISB for $350 and was deliberating whether to flip for profit. Glad I build it. Probably can sell for higher my buy in anyway.2 points

You made a mistake, 10220 isn't supposed to be in the poll.2 points

It was really odd to find all that in 1 spot. No one else had any. It was like they just restocked them as soon as they marked them down.1 point

I received some Beauxbaton Carriages in a Little Debbie box the other day, so yes, it appears they are getting creative. They arrived in mint condition though so it was all good. That box would concern me though since it's not fully closed on top. Yikes...1 point

While there, why not pick up a couple Hiulkbusters (76104)? It's been retired according to LEGO Shop at Home. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lego-marvel-super-heroes-the-hulkbuster-smash-up-76104-multi/6363275.p?skuId=63632751 point

Target should price match Best Buy and they probably wouldn't put the limit on.1 point

Still there for me. Not really worth it to me since there is a limit of 3 and 5.1 point

I've recently changed over to charging for shipping. The orders never stopped coming in but the buyers locations have changed. All from DE, NY, NJ, PA, CT, etc...1 point

I will answer you as a seller. I would never do this. Ever! If I make a mistake I correct it. Even if it means loosing money on the original order. if I am short when picking, and if I cannot get the part, then I will offer the option of refund on part or buyer may cancel order. i cannot advise you what action(s) to take however I will say (in my opinion) the seller didn’t send what you ordered, is in the wrong and should at least feel obligated to fix it. And I will say if it were me I wouldn’t accept their “resolution”1 point

Not sure if this belongs here, the complaint thread or the Lego buy-out thread... But I really hope Lego does away with allowing stores to have their individual terms and conditions and just sets one site wide set. I ordered a $10 order from a store, but they forgot to include one of the pieces that I ordered. Instead of sending me the piece that they forgot, they want to refund me the $0.10 the piece costs... so now I have to pay the $0.10 for the piece and s&h charges and my original order now becomes a $14-$15 order. I am tempted to open a PayPal dispute and request a return and refund for the entire order.1 point

I do not inflate shipping. I make shipping FREE. The consumer is savvy enough (in my opinion) to factor in the total price including shipping. Especially when selling at Buy It Now format (which is what I do).1 point

It comes down to buy-in, overall investment strategy, storage capacity, cash flow needs, capital availability, experience, remake potential, personal affinity to the set/theme, spousal temperament, median child age, household income, selling platform and hoarding tendencies.1 point
