Just finished building this beauty. Bought NISB for $350 and was deliberating whether to flip for profit. Glad I build it. Probably can sell for higher my buy in anyway.6 points

I have yet to post on the site (first time caller, long time listener) but with more than a hundred sets (from 2012-2016) thought it was time to sell so my story thus far. Had no idea of the interest or demand, especially during the pandemic. Initially thought of selling the lot (bad idea). Simply posted on Facebook/marketplace and seeking local buyers (though have shipped 2). Incredible amount of interest on DC Batman and Star Wars. Indeed, had 3 separate sales this morning totaling more than a $1,000. Likely could have made more on eBay (though no fees when in person) but pleased to clean out the basement. Still have more than half that I have not posted (most remaining are higher ticket items or highly valued). People I have met (social distancing) are incredibly thankful and generally nice people. They are getting a good deal but fortunately any money I make is not to feed the family—we will have some fun with it when the virus leaves (and my wife will be happy that our basement has been cleared out-except for the baseball cards).6 points

Finally decided on an entrance style to my space- themed rollercoaster. Luckily I was able to model a few of the letters after the creator expert rollercoaster letters but had to improvise on the S and also on how to connect the A over the junction between the two curved track pieces. I like the use of the 1990s red posts from my original space shuttle set. I'm not an expert builder, this amusement park takes lots of experimenting and dinking around.5 points

Bought the 71043 Hogwarts Castle for € 275. Let my kid build it during his May break from school. Then sold the castle for € 375. I love Lego.4 points

I wouldn't hold your breath for prices to come back down. Personally I don't believe that will happen at all.2 points

That's the same email I got. I went ahead and did the registration. From what I read they expect most sellers to be on the new system by the end of the year. Only those who sell in certain categories won't for some reason, but I remember currency being one of them. Eventually the new system will be mandatory.2 points

Ninjago City NISB $539 +shipping ($170 buy-in), Carousel NISB $349+shipping ($170) both I was reluctant to sell but i think I rather get the premium on the NISB and hunt for used later (for personal collection) when prices have come down....well at least that's the plan...I never break seals anymore.2 points

If you stocked up on these you are feeling pretty good now. This one is easily doing the best of the 5 main 20th anniversary sets. But kinda unfair to declare a winner when 2 of them haven't retired yet.1 point

Nope. eBay spun off Paypal 5-6 years ago. The Managed Payment is eBay working with other payment company, completely separate from Paypal1 point

The parts I am looking for are relatively "fresh", BL just doesn't have the quantity.1 point

Rebuilt my 21303 Wall-E yesterday. Some of you might remember I motorized it back in 2015 with Power Functions w/ decent success. I posted pics in our Wall-E thread long ago. I built it with the original neck design and then the Lego fix. I don’t notice much improvement. I did purchase the Chris McVeigh fix in Sept. 2015 so maybe that will be tried next.1 point
