It comes down to buy-in, overall investment strategy, storage capacity, cash flow needs, capital availability, experience, remake potential, personal affinity to the set/theme, spousal temperament, median child age, household income, selling platform and hoarding tendencies.10 points

It must be something psychological, but I find it much easier to sell a set when I still have several of them in storage. When I'm down to the last one it's getting significantly harder to sell it. Must be a kind of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) where you're afraid the set might gain a lot in value after you've sold the last box, and you'll miss out on the profit. Don't know if others have this too or whether I'm unique in this sentiment.5 points

The parts I am looking for are relatively "fresh", BL just doesn't have the quantity.3 points

Can we take the time to appreciate what might be the BEST UCS box packaging? I got this to build but the box design is so nice, almost makes me reconsider.3 points

Damn, this was the set I was waiting for on S&H to pop up knowing that it would probably literally only be up for hours if not minutes. Oh well.2 points

ridiculous that the few Train station-ish sets are so over-priced for what you get because there's almost zero current add-ons. C'mon LEGO give us a nice station, train yard, or something other than more rehashed train sets.2 points

Bricks and Pieces is back up. I was poking around looking for parts last weekend, and confirmed it's still up just now.2 points

Rebuilt my 21303 Wall-E yesterday. Some of you might remember I motorized it back in 2015 with Power Functions w/ decent success. I posted pics in our Wall-E thread long ago. I built it with the original neck design and then the Lego fix. I don’t notice much improvement. I did purchase the Chris McVeigh fix in Sept. 2015 so maybe that will be tried next.2 points

The ASIN currently flagged don't show up on any searches, and so you technically can't (or shouldn't be able to) add new inventory on those and send them in. I added some items to inventory, after the Apr 4 message, that turned out to be flagged and disappeared on May 5. I received zero emails about those ASIN being out of compliance. If the item shows up on a search, and your are able to add it to inventory, you will probably be OK. IFAIK, if it's later flagged, you should have 30 days to recall it. If you stick with FBM, the only issue will be the listing goes dark. HTH. p.s. as a safety, you could take pics of the (1) UPC and (2) address portions of the box, including the item number and set number when possible. Then, if they are flagged, you will have them to send in with the CPC cert that you can download from Lego. All bases covered in that instance.1 point

Feel free to tell me ‘mind my own business’, but, what exactly leads one to drop $1,400 at B&P? Is the pricing that favorable vs Bricklink? Is it convenience, “fresh” bricks from LEGO, and only one shipping charge? Just curious! I’ve always found B&P pricey and I’ve never contemplated such a huge order!1 point

I successfully cleared an ASIN overnight, using the template posted above. Thanks, all! I plan to submit a few more this weekend. My read is that we have 30 days to do so. Can anyone confirm that from the last round?1 point

Selling heaps on normal avenues over the last couple of weeks, but some sets still weren't moving. So I decided to list some "bargains" on facebook (AKA crap sets taking up space and capital 🤐 ). People love buying retired sets below retail. Finally got rid of my last Classic Batcave and Technic Air Race Jet. I didn't even lose money on them! Woo. Man they were stinkers... 🤢1 point

This is a funny thread. A buddy of mine recently moved. As he was cleaning out his attic he came across his childhood lego collection. He knew I collected lego and offered a trade: I help move for a few hours for his collection. I still have yet to get through it all but there is a number of classic space, town and lego land from the late 70's to the mid 80's. I even found some of those red windows and grey wheels from the 60's in there.1 point

So - it's stations where people can drop off "good stuff" for others to pick up? Like a Goodwill without paying anything?1 point
