So this was my project for the week. I wanted to turn the Hidden Side Shrimp Shack into a MOD. It's not as polished as many that I see but I worked with the pieces I had on hand. I only had two of those brown arches so I just used white till I find some. So if any of you guys have some in your store please send the link.13 points

As far as I can tell, the bigger the box, the bigger chances for difference between quoted vs actual Fedex prices. Which deflate the incentive for using Fedex to begin with2 points

Neo Geo mini international is down to $30 at amz https://smile.amazon.com/NEOGEO-Mini-International-electronics-games/dp/B07D1KN661/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&keywords=neogeo&qid=1588258532&sr=8-14 Not as good looking as the US mini but pretty cheap for 40 games.2 points

If that is it for LEGO sales, and taking the GWP into account, this might go down as the lamest May the 4th ever.1 point

This looks amazing and out of the bunch I like this the most. But when it is all said and done, it is a bunch of gray pieces and a boy minifigure. Am I wrong in saying it needs something else to appeal to the masses?1 point

Started the year with 5x 10242 minis. Started selling them early April at $319 ( $185us), and bumped up the price every time one sold. Just sold my last one for $399 ($231us)! Average buy-in was about $75us... Honestly, every time I tell myself "This ones a winner, buy lots" I still fail to buy enough.... 😆1 point

Safe-T claims are FBM only, you will need to open a case for FBA. Good luck, it isn't as easy as it used to be.1 point

Spongebob is back on the allowed list of licenses for LEGO Ideas. Idk if Mega is done with them, but I'd guess yes.1 point

I like the fishing boat and bowling alley. Although there aren't really any that jump out at me as a awesome set.1 point

Man, could you imagine what it'd be like if they did a crowd funded model for these designs like Bricklink did last year? We'd all be broke!1 point

maybe this a taboo subject.. but is anyone that is ungated in lego on Amazon willing to work with me on dropshipping some sets? (as in you list, you sell, i dropship) The price difference between Amazon and Ebay is a but nuts right now. i mean why fight the beast when we have the resources for everyone to make some money on the deal..1 point

I've audited all my FedEx labels that have posted to my ebay account for April (only up to the 16th so far) and so far all match exactly what I was charged when I printed the label.1 point

Unfortunately, I haven't had much time even with being at home to list sets online, but seeing some of the jumps in prices for sets like Skeleton Attack, Nether Railway, Rosalyn's Healing Hideout, and others have made me find the time. Also, selling a couple of 21146 for over $125 has really shown me that I am a bonehead when it comes to Minecraft--I only have 3 of this set left when I could have purchased many more but didn't because even though I liked the set, I waited on extra discounts that didn't appear.1 point

One thing I'd like to add when shipping items... Be sure to be as accurate as possible when listing the box dimensions and weight and always round up to whole numbers so you aren't hit at an unexpected higher rate. For example, if you have a box you use that says its a 24x20x4 sized box, don't punch in those same numbers for the dimensions. It is almost always 25x21x5. If the measurement comes out to exactly 24 inches and a single hair, you still need to enter 25. I think I heard someone else mention on here before that Fedex uses a laser or something to measure boxes, so you aren't going to sneak anything by them. Now USPS, you actually do have a chance of sneaking something by. Not saying you should try, just saying that getting charged upfront is a benefit to you there. I've had a postal worker pull out the ruler on my package before. The side was exactly on the dot, but the top rose up a little and, as we all know, boxes aren't perfect. I had to smash the thing down right in front of him, but he still gave me an awkward look and told me to be careful next time as he reluctantly accepted it. And I'm not exactly sure how it works with the Ebay discount and how you get charged by Fedex, but I wouldn't want to run the risk that either the entire charge or the up charge by Fedex isn't discounted by Ebay anymore.1 point

I get charged after the fact via ebay. I have even asked the fed ex shipping person to weigh and check the pkg and they agree the price I paid was right. But about a week later I get an update for an additional charge (usually close to twice what I originally paid). Based upon the help others have provided, I'm pretty confident it's the box size that Fed Ex is dinging me for.1 point

I’m really stoked about this set. It’s unreal in person. Huge yellow box, pirates, castle, old school city folk, and a freaking roller coaster! I’m just a collector, not a speculator. Buy everything you can because dudes like me will pay crazy money next year. You get $40 off if you purchase 3 right now: https://shop-california.legoland.com/collections/legoland-exclusives/products/legoland-park1 point

It's unusual times. I sold lots of big sets to make space/free some cash and my ebay was going off all hours. I was selling most for a double profit but happy to get out of star wars at 50%. Elves has been spectacular (at least x3 purchase across the board). The Speed Champions have always done well for me at the 3 year mark but selling the lot is awesome for you. As mentioned before I lost my job, so the money is very appreciated, better return than stock market, thats for sure. Hopefully working again inside 2 months, before big sales at end of year to replenish supplies. For the first time in 4 years my wife "gets" lego investing/selling and some building. She is stunned when I show her purchase vs sold prices at the moment.1 point

Some personal responsibility to keep your own financial records and not be dependent on another entity comes into play here. I miss it, but understand it's not mine.1 point

I would love to use AWS, we just did a major migration there for my job and love using it. It is just costly. To set it up there the way I would want to do it would easily be 2-3x the cost. There is no temporary link to give at the moment, all of the work is on my local development setup. I honestly can't give a date at the moment. I am working on it as much as I can. This global issue we are having has my normal job in overdrive. There just hasn't been much time during the week to do extensive work. Most of my time on the development has been on the weekends.1 point
