To be fair, these are pretty innovative. LEGO integrated tech into bricks like nothing I have seen before. I still want that Yoshi brick build (0:30)4 points

Wow, I certainly cannot knock Lego for trying to show some innovation here. At first quick glance at a still photo, I thought "Plegh" at the Mario build. But now that I see the tech involved, it actually seems interesting. I think I might like this better than Hidden Side phone app stuff.3 points

Corona Virus is a Family of viruses (Family>Genus>Species) this is a Novel=New strain. So you can think of it as a new wild dog breed that if it bites you you can die. Are you even going to see that dog today 99.9% no, if you do see that dog is it going to bite you 40% Chance and if it does bite you are you going to die 5% Chance. The first number 99.9% decreases (bad for you) every day as the dog breeds with exponential spread. To understand exponents give your kid a penny then every minute double it so 1,2,4,8,16,32 so after 5 minutes they have 63 cents. Do that for 1 hour and see how much money they have. The second number 40% goes down (good for you) with social distancing but goes up if you go to big gatherings. The third number 5% goes down (good for you) if you are healthy and young but goes up if you or old or unhealthy. 20% of the US population is old and 40% is unhealthy and that isn’t even including the fatties.3 points

For what's it worth, I just showed this to my son. He thought it looked amazing said he wants to spend his allowance on it. This is coming from a 6 year old who can look in our basement and browse every set imaginable.2 points

Well I'm dissapointed. Please lego do some traditional style sets too not just this weird crap. Of course it's easy to say kids are their main market but Nintendo has a huge nostalgic adult market to aim for too surely 😒2 points

For all those saying that this is all overblown and just another flu or cold... Flu deaths this season world wide = 646k Flu deaths in US this season = 12k-30k Coronavirus deaths worldwide if 3.4% mortality rate (WHO estimate) = ~262 million Coronavirus deaths in US if 3.4% mortality rate = 11.2 million Coronavirus deaths if 2% mortality rate worldwide = 154 million Coronavirus deaths in US if 2% mortality rate = 6.6 million Coronavirus deaths if 1% mortality rate (what I tend to believe is a closer estimate) worldwide = 7.7 million Coronavirus deaths in US if 1% mortality rate = 3.3 million That is of course assuming that everyone in the world gets infected at some point. But even if only 50% become infected and it has a 1% mortality rate that is still 1.65 million dead in just the US. Which is 55 times more than the flu this year. There are also vaccines against the flu that help prevent spread and severity... no vaccine to stop coronavirus from spreading.2 points

Big risk right now using Amazon warehouses. If one employee goes down at that warehouse...whole warehouse operation goes down for a bit as they quarantine and sanitize.1 point

Our Easter Break starts on Good Friday in our district. We're still 4 weeks away from that. If I had to guess, if our district does something sooner rather than later, and closes down, they will move the Easter break up, add a second week, and can the week off mid-April. Hopefully.1 point

at least i'm getting out of seeing Hamilton a 2nd time. wife can't blame me. i found the experience of watching it "brutal" except for 3 king songs and last 5 mins..1 point

I must confess, I have watched a number of "let's play"s over the past few years. The videos are something I can watch between spots waiting for whatever at the time to run its course and chances were I was never going to play the console or the game long enough to justify buying either. A somewhat recent example would be Death Stranding which in all fairness was a very long film where the game got in the way of the story. Moving along, a guilty pleasure of mine along the lines of your Street Fighter V binge would be classic Doom playthroughs specifically Decino with his 100% (all kills & secrets) completion runs usually on max difficulty pistol starting each map with no saves used. Presently he is going through Sunlust, the notoriously challenging megawad.1 point

You're welcome. If the origination and destination zip codes are specified correctly, it should go through without trouble. And here's the multi-order shipping link worth bookmarking, 'cause its impossible to find via normal click-routes: http://www.paypal.com/mos (which resolves to https://www.paypal.com/shiplabel/createbulk/)1 point

I saw that. Really satisfied me to be honest. Revenge because of ridicule at its finest! If you joke around with deadly diseases, it'll wait for you right around the corner.1 point

Yeah, kids who can afford all these sets can just play Mario Odyssey. I hope it does well but I would have preferred the minecraft approach with detailed "scenes" borrowed from the games.1 point

So there was only one NBA team that wanted to carry on as usual. I instantly knew which one before they announced it. How can that jackass make the wrong decision every single time?1 point

Be reasonable and smart now. If you or an older parent are on meds, make certain you have a 30-60 day supply on hand. Contact your sitters/ nannies or other parents and see if you can set up a small childcare coop if k-12 closes. Get ready to work from home. Dry goods, beans and rice and lentils last a good long while. Consider buying gift cards directly from your local small businesses that will suffer greatly from this. They need the money right now and you’ll be able to spend it eating out in a month or so.1 point

People said the same thing in 2009. If you are going to be in the market for more than four years, NOT staying in the market is almost always a bad decision. If you feel like the economy is on the verge of collapse, your cash will mean nothing anyways, and you might as well invest in liquor, coffee, smokes and canned goods.1 point

The "logic" you are trying to establish here is just too hard to comprehend. Following facts: 1. There is a magazine which is mostly owned by rich families. 2. In 1988 the magazine published a prediction that there will be a new world currency. 3. I didnt find any source for the black cover, but okay lets assume thats correct. Because of one prediction of a magazine mostly owned by rich families which was correct and a black cover you say its dooms day in 2020.... That is just a whack conspiracy.1 point

Does anyone have an opinion on the Star Wars Boy's Briefs? I know they're just another rehash, but do you think there's a window for a short term flip? Does anyone remember what the price was on Black Friday? I was going to say $9.99, but that might have just been a 3 Pack. They're an impressive value for wearables, but I'm not sure of the long/short term investment value.1 point

The current age designation of the greatest skill level required is 16+. These new Star Wars bust sets do require an additional 2 years of training in the Lego arts in order to master the build.1 point

Built the Fiat 500 and it was actually a decent build. It is somewhat small but after looking at pictures of the real thing it is also very small. One build technique I found interesting was the use of the technic arms that have minifigure hands on them as a way to secure the bottom of the seats to the chassis, I didn't expect that. The light yellow color is beautiful, very pleasing to the eyes I love it. Might get another set just for the pieces. One complaint I have has nothing to do with the vehicle itself, but the easel, it's very unsteady and insecure. There is no side horizontal brace. So it doesn't take much of a touch to begin to split the legs and the painting falls off. I know that's not the focus of this set but a single 1x4 plate or something could have helped to 'fix' the legs into position. It seems like a cheap addition to the set. If it was going to be built so poorly then give us a printed painting not a sticker. I may end up disassembling the easel and absorbing the pieces into my collection. Otherwise, a nice build and helped contribute to my free 40th train promo.1 point

It might have something to do with the price guide and Brickfolio. I'm not sure if someone has asked in a while if it will ever come back up. Better ask1 point
