I'm sure Lego does just fine with Star Wars. It's just not the automatic hit for resellers anymore -- Walmart clearance pricing withstanding.2 points

I suspect there will be new Star Wars content coming out on Disney + for years to come. Just like there is new Avengers coming out. There won’t be a major movie for several years, but enough content to keep the line alive. And they can always revisit episodes 7-9, like they’ve done the previous 6. 4+ version of Rey’s Speeder. You can quote me on that.1 point

For better and worse - Hardcore Clone Wars fans will have already seen this episode (kinda). It was one of the unreleased lost missions episodes (unfinished almost still storyboard images, with character voices). They changed some things, but the basic story is the same. Great episode though, so no complaints here.1 point

Anyone else getting itchy to buy stuff? Pre-ordering Baby Yoda's isn't very fulfilling.1 point

This. Disney is huge. They can easily put the pressure on LEGO to continue producing SW stuffs, otherwise their popular Marvel, Disney Princess, etc etc lines will suffer1 point

TLG's extensive cooperation with Disney has become a business choke hold that might hurt them really bad long-term.1 point

lol, I read your comment before you edited it. The last time I talked to the LEGO store mgr about LEGO letting the Star Wars license end (which should be happening sometime between 2020-2021) he reminded me of just how many Disney licenses there are with LEGO. There are a lot...1 point

My wife built the street sweeper tonight and it's both cute, quaint and to my surprise had some functionality! The front sweepers (blue gears) are connected via non friction pins at the front center which means the outside edges of the gears drop with gravity enough to touch the ground surface and functionaly rotate when the vehicle is pushed. The side brushes function similarly. I guess I didn't expect that in a value-priced set and it's cool seeing all four going at once. I was surprised the tires were the smooth racing-slick type and not treaded. I haven't tested other tires but maybe there's a difference in height and they need the slicks to help the side brushes touch the ground so they could function. It's kind of a mash-up vehicle in that it is a combo recycling truck, too. Where I live recycling cans are blue and trash cans vary. City- provided are green, otherwise whatever you find sold at the local hardware store. They include a green trash can and a banana (which is more compost.. that's a kind of recycle, right?) Imaginations can be forgiving so all-in-all nothing to really complain about there. The 1x4 bricks one each side with the recycle grqphics are printed for those that want to part out or start/add to a recycling center MOC. Overall a neat small build and nice addition to most anyone's Lego city.1 point

I put a dozen sealed ExoSuit boxes on my shelf as a reminder of dumb decisions I made1 point

ha, dumped those last year as well. Made a few bucks with FBA. Last year I cleared a lot of going nowhere stock. You never know though. Wish I held on to my UCS B-Wings1 point

Fine. You got me. I have no place to put them. My basement is full of ExoSuit & RI I bought a few years ago1 point

It's definitely a better price point for them but there's normally a lull of inventory at this point of the year anyway.1 point

Max Profit is a valuable resource. You will be sorry that you shunned Baby Yoda.🐸1 point

It's hard saying goodbye but there are always more in need. I get to have kittens a couple times a year. Seeing excited families adopt a cat I helped makes up for saying goodbye. A few people have stayed in touch too. One woman adopted two from me now lives in Germany with them & sends pictures once a year. Last year someone who adopted a pair from me seven years ago called out of the blue just to tell me how wonderful they are. That got me choked up.1 point

I think it was your Brickfolio that corrupted the files to be honest. I never heard of a LEGO set that was called "Beef Jerky" before.1 point

It's hard to make a show that is all things to all people. My boys are 8, 10 and 12 and they have loved the first couple of episodes. They got all of their lego bins out and have been building MOCs over the past couple of weeks. The show fires up their creative juices & makes them want to build (and has done the same for me after having burnt out a bit over the past few years), so in that sense I feel like they are accomplishing their goal.1 point

I don't think he could be a set designer for Lego as that would make him an ineligible participant for the show. It looks like (based on his website) he was the designer of "Stitch" (from Lilo and Stitch) that was on Lego Ideas. He also does do commissioned work, so he's good enough to get paid for it. https://www.tylerclites.com/1 point

Here’s the pic next to the modular: [emoji10] I was originally a little disappointed in the change. Not so much anymore. I really like it. Back to being a “first time I can get it on sale” purchase for me.1 point
