There are a bunch of reasons why I am sure. I bet they don't even have box art yet. Outside of the toy fair's, I bet their customer service head demanded they at least get a posting up so people would stop asking when they would have sets. 😄3 points

I think the rush is to preview for the New York Toy Fair which starts this weekend... the mad-rush to merchandise the baby has arrived. Pre-order is available on Shop.Lego.com and Amazon.com too, even though availability is not until 5 months from now: https://smile.amazon.com/LEGO-BrickHeadz-Mandalorian-Building-Pieces/dp/B0849S7C5W/ https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/the-mandalorian-the-child-75317 https://smile.amazon.com/LEGO-Star-Wars-Mandalorian-Building/dp/B0849GZMZH/ https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/the-razor-crest-75292 -g2 points

It's hard saying goodbye but there are always more in need. I get to have kittens a couple times a year. Seeing excited families adopt a cat I helped makes up for saying goodbye. A few people have stayed in touch too. One woman adopted two from me now lives in Germany with them & sends pictures once a year. Last year someone who adopted a pair from me seven years ago called out of the blue just to tell me how wonderful they are. That got me choked up.2 points

If something is rare it is not available to masses in reasonable quantity, so I am not sure I understand. But, the Darth Vader bust was for sale by Target online and I am pretty sure (not 100%) that they were available for at least a few days before selling out. So there was reasonable quantity, I was able to order 20 and I know that there were others who got a lot more than I did.1 point

I wouldn't worry too much about stickers and labels. Amazon likes to ship small boxed LEGO sets in bubble mailers so that they arrive to the buyer extra crushed. Amazon likes to ship large and expensive boxed LEGO sets by applying a shipping label directly to the LEGO box to ensure that the collectible LEGO box gets extra trashed. Amazon does not accept responsibility for their terrible shipping practices. Have fun.1 point

Manny & Nester have cried all 3 episodes. They are too funny, I can imagine they would be a blast to be around on set. When time is tight and things are going tough, Sam gets so pissed! Then, when things are going smoothly, he's as giddy as a little school girl (not that he is;^)). He is just so Bi.....polar, its pretty entertaining!1 point

Is preordering a relatively new thing for Lego? I noticed this can be preordered at LEGO Shop at Home, and I'm use to waiting until the night prior to pull the trigger. There's no availability category called Pre-Order. I filtered on available now and there it is. Also, no box art yet, either. Rushed this pic to market to be in the news like everyone else. Can't wait to have this one. Edit: I also like how it says it'll ship FROM Sept 1, not ON Sept 1. Generally one would expect to have it shipped on that date and just wait ship time. This sounds like a smeared blend of pre-order/ backorder/ you'll-get-it-when-you-get-it.1 point

Yes! Was hoping for this. Will have to build my own egg pod for baby Yoda. Main nitpick is I wish they updated Mando to his full baskar gear.1 point

I think it was your Brickfolio that corrupted the files to be honest. I never heard of a LEGO set that was called "Beef Jerky" before.1 point

I think the chaos was coming from Disney / LucasFilms side. Just look at the absolutely abysmal sets related to ep IX. That movie was supposed to be the end of a saga for goodness sake, yet the sets are a bunch of remakepalooza. LOL.1 point

As Jeff stated in another thread, there was a problem with the servers. He hired a new server company and is transferring all the information to faster and more reliable servers. All of the Brickfolio information is safe and the site will be back to normal in a few days. It takes time to transfer all of this information and Jeff has his real job to deal with as well. Sorry for the inconvenience...1 point
