The site is down for legitimate reasons for 2-3 days and all of a sudden a bunch of lurkers are making their first posts in a panic. It’s kind of entertaining. As Aaron Rodgers would say...relax!7 points

You don’t _need_ this back badly. Brickpicker provides a free service, at best you would like to have this back soon. You should have a backup of your information. As with anything free on the internet (and sadly also with the majority of non-free stuff) there is no expectation of continuity. The only way to make sure something stays is keeping it yourself. I am sure Jeff and Ed are doing their best to restore Brickfolio functionality as quickly as they can. In the meanwhile, be patient.7 points

We don't have a thread for those Ideas that have just hit the 10,000 supporters club (e.g., they will go into the next review). So let's use this thread to showcase those sets that have just hit the club, and that we'll see coming in a review sometime in the near future.2 points

I'm still crushed the Addams house was not chosen after getting 10k. Guess it was too big to ever have a chance.2 points

I personally want the shuttle to go along with the other NASA sets. I see the 7 dwarves/Winnie the Pooh being created under the Disney line soon now that they have their inspiration, but they were already in production (wink,wink)2 points

Seems there are going to be some really expensive Ideas sets coming later this year. 21322 is 200 euros - Pirate Bay? 21323 is 350 euros - Sesame Street? 21324 is unknown -Playable Piano?2 points

I've got to be honest - I'm not overly excited about any of these. If I had to pick one, I'd go with the Pursuit of Flight by JKBrickworks. That one, to me, is innovative - as least as far as what we've seen from Ideas sets in the past.2 points

Snowpiercer was't being touted as one of the best movies of <insert year>... And Chris Evans delivered his lines with much less corn than a tortilla chip. 👍1 point

I would recommend hiring a private investigator to look into this due to the size of the loss. The police aren't going to investigate this much if at all because it's going to be nearly impossible to prosecute and because frankly the Legos haven't been seen in years. Also check and see if there was a burglary at you're home you didn't know about. You should be able to check with the police on this. Maybe they were stolen during a crime that was reported already. You need to check local swap meets too.1 point

We are now over 19,000 pieces on the St. Paul Mystery lot!!! Hopefully somebody close to me wins this one!1 point

While it won't get back all your money, it will force them to come to court to answer the complaint. If they choose not to come to court, a judgement can be placed against them that will follow them. It might make it hard for them to get credit and go on their record. If you feel that it's them, then it is often an effective way to annoy the crap out of them as well.1 point

Sets I part out and bulk lot purchases I count as a materials & supplies expense. Because my finished product is whatever combination and quantity of loose pieces comprise the customer's order. Plus, with the bulk lot purchases, some of the pieces might have been used to complete a used set I sell on eBay, and other pieces go into a drawer for sale on Bricklink. Easier than trying to come up with a scheme to keep track of all the different directions a piece might go.1 point

Not a huge deal but on LEGO Shop at Home 40198 Lego Ludo Game has been 30% off periodically ($39.99 marked down to $27.99) and is that price right now. It comes with 16 minifigures, which on its own ends up being $1.75 a figure (in addition to all the other pieces in the set). Add on an extra $7.01 to get free shipping and the free valentines flower and chocolate box GWP. Got my daughter the 853780 Friends Rings for $7.99 to close the gap.1 point

This entire review is absurd - So a company makes a legally licensed set, and he is outraged about it???1 point
-
The guy should have focused on actually reviewing what is very obviously a very legally-marketed set. Aside from his claims of "this is garbage", "this is trash" and "I don't like it", he does not at all explain WHY it is trash. The only ARGUMENT he really uses is that - from his POV - the manual is too tiny, that's it. The rest is about that he hates everything, never to be explained in any way - super-biased fanboys like him might be the main reason why LEGO is still No.1 in the business despite all their faults in product development, marketing etc.1 point

I was always partial to the Bloodhound Gang. I believe that was part of 3-2-1 Contact.1 point

Oh, if two people are going to be wrong, I will step in and set the record straight. The Pinball number Count song is from Sesame Street. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinball_Number_Count There is even a very recently created online pinball game for it! https://www.sesamestreet.org/games?id=25653 And Pentatonix came on and sang it with some interstitial songs that are pretty nice as well, my daughter loves it.1 point

So awful it went 10 full seasons with no seasons that are "tougher" to watch because the main character took a break. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but let's not put Friends into the Horrible bucket. I wasn't even comparing how good these were in the past post, but in Lego terms, Friends has been made, not all jokes/characters would work today and the Office is next on the block of possibly being made by Lego. I think it has a fair shot of being made too. That is all I'm saying from the above. That article is just another "writer" with an opinion that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things and you could insert any sitcom from many years ago into the title. EDIT: Random website ranking sitcoms http://underscoopfire.com/the-50-best-sitcoms-of-all-time-10-1/ I feel pretty awesome that I watched a significant portion of each show from the top 10. What a time to be alive!1 point
