I can foresee the large loser horn or toilet bowl sound all of us will hear when they are all simultaneously canceled.4 points

Did you re-list it via the app? I think i posted this somewhere in this thread maybe, but the app has a tendency to auto select best offer for you, and sets the accept offer at half the list price. Really annoying, i don't re-list/list with the app anymore. So even if your original listing had no offers accepted, if you re-listed on the app it could have put best offer on without you knowing.4 points

_____________________________________________________________________________________ Not mine, posted on r/legodeal. There may be hope, but I'm not convinced. Could be some trickster creating false images. Just not this trickster this time. Edit: Here is what the email I received for the order confirmation shows. There is no discount line in the confirmation email, but there is one on the order invoice in my account. More interesting is that the confirmation email is a penny off from the invoice.3 points

That's very weird. If you look at lego on sears like half of their listings are from Ebay marketplace sellers. Fast Eddie must have hired Toycentric.3 points

lol - if you did loaded up on brickheadz you are cleaning the fred up. i'm not even talking about mickey or minnie. harry potter, hermione, stormtrooper, boba fett, luke+yoda, darth vader minecraft brickheadz at every target, walmart bn at MSRP - you would have more than doubled your money post fees on a few of them. i am having tough time keeping $65 minecraft bhz in stock (msrp.$19.99). if you got them on easily obtainable 30-50% discount (especially stormtrooper and darth on the $5.99 and $6.99 permasale before stacking in the target gift cards) you are having a fantastic year. once i saw mickey and minnie going in such a short amount of production time and it was confirmed all 2018 bhz were retiring, i started buying early and often in bulk from amazon at msrp and on sale. i think people who are holding onto brickheadz for another year are going to see epic returns as the sell counts start to dwindle further. i'm just moving on to the next thing. this year will be the same as last - great if you picked the right sets. freaking ship in a bottle is already selling for $145 fba instock for saturday delivery. already looking like a great year if you have a lot of that one. meantime, some price creep happening on sets as we get to crunch time and people start paying attention to the delivery date. if you are instock fba for tomorrow, make sure you are priced higher than instock fba for december 28th or give up the premium just to make a sale slightly quicker. i am 25% higher than the buybox on some listings and still seeing significant sales volume. no specifics - thanks2 points

The FBA whales just need to create their own OPEC-like organization and collectively decide when to turn up or cut back production. And another example... this race to the bottom on a set like Heartlake Hospital is becoming hard to watch. That should have been $225+ by this weekend.2 points

That's my workflow these days, too. I do everything on my laptop, save as a draft, use the app to upload the pics, and then switch back to the laptop to double check all my settings and then push it live. I've had that same issue with the app where the Best Offer gets turned on, or if I have Best Offer on, it changes my Best Offer prices. (I usually set my Best Offer pricing with a 1 penny difference between what I'll accept and what I'll reject, but the app will put a gap between the two pricing, forcing everyone to wait on me to accept or decline an offer).2 points

This is exactly why I never use the eBay app. There are too many horror stories on how the app automatically changes your listings2 points

Exactly what I would do.2 points

Was "Best Offer" option checked? I often see that if I relist items, the Best Offer option is selected even if I thought I had taken it off. And they set the auto accept offer price pretty drastically low.2 points

I'm not sure who the fruitcake is here. The seller, the buyers, or us for not thinking of this sooner. https://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-Tesla-Cybertruck-Christmas-2019-Stocking-Stuffer-Hot-Toy-Truck-Elon-Musk/254435845743?hash=item3b3d8ee66f%3Ag%3AQGgAAOSwDF5d3s8d&LH_BIN=1&LH_ItemCondition=10002 points

I do the app first for creating the listing and uploading pictures, and then everything else is done on PC. Before I started doing this, I had a few situations where the app somehow didn't save my dimensions/weight for items and these reverted to the guessed-at ones that auto-populate. On one of these, I ended up having to pay extra money out of pocket because what I thought was listed at 7 pounds had only been getting a rate at 2 pounds for a box that was about half the size of my real one. Now I carefully check this field about 3 times before listing.1 point

I am surprised smaller operations are still doing 1 year cycle. I do not see any point in this unless you can consistently buy at 70% discount or more. Especially after Amazon, USPS, UPS, & US government take their ever increasing cuts. And like I said above, next year is going to be worse1 point

Unless things changed since 2016, Lego store employees get 50% off in store only, no online order discounts. But they are limited to spending with discount in the amount of $2500 a year (which means $5000 worth of product). If you befriend an employee who isnt really into Lego, they will have lots of discount to use during the year, and the store will allow them to use their discount for friends and family. Employee has to be present for this and only a manager or assistant can do the transaction. As far as a PT job there, its a trade off because they pay so lousy you wouldnt have much money to spend on discounted sets ;).1 point

Me vs my eBay & FBM order queue during this time of the year:1 point

So this is fun. Just got a FedEx item received notification for my order from 11/23, for which LEGO said a shipment was sent on 11/25, but FedEx never picked it up. It was in "pending" status for 2.5 weeks, and last weekend LEGO gave me a replacement for the Christmas Tree GWP that was in the shipment, and I already received the replacement order of the other items in the shipment. They told me originally that if the original order still showed up I could keep it - looks like I am lucky. Now let's see if my LL14 order ships1 point

Yep that's it right there. I do the same where I start a listing on PC and then upload photos via phone. Even with Best Offer off on PC listing, it changes via app. I got burned before I realized the shenanigans.1 point

Take the loss IMO, 100% feedback probably bring you more sales long term than the $100 gained in the short term1 point

Can we stick to the subject here. Woodn’t it be nice to see what sets could get chopped soon? Don’t want to get burned and miss out on the next round of sets that are getting pruned.1 point

Not that it matters to many of y'all, but those who are still gated might be interested to know that it appears Amazon has removed the CPC requirement to get ungated on subcategory toys. That, or my meager FBM sales have finally magically removed that barrier for me. I've checked with five brands, including LEGO. Was there two weeks ago. Weird timing, no? To be clear, this is just the CPC requirement. new sellers still have to have brand and category approval. Though, I'm getting automatically approved on more and more brands.1 point

I really appreciate posts like this to remind me how small I am on AMZ. My storage fees that hit today are just under $30, and this year I'm excited to be selling more than last year - by comparison my storage fees this time last year were a whopping $18ish.1 point

Thanks for the reminder belljohn. We will have to try and get up there before the holidays end. My last two weekends have been swamped with catching up on yardwork from the early snow in October. Hope to see you soon.1 point
