Watched an item on eBay for months entitled "3 Star Wars Legos Sets With Mixed Pieces (Some Pieces May Be Missing) ". Listing contained 75059 Sandcrawler, 75060 Slave I, and 75095 Tie Fighter. Listing started at close to $500 and slowly dropped. Listing dropped for over two months and eventually was sitting there at $185+$35 shipping. eBay sent out that "we screwed up sending you that better coupon, so here's one not as good" for 10% off, so I figured I would finally message the seller. Seller says she knew nothing about Lego or Star Wars. I explained to her what a minifigure was and if she could pull them all out of the box and take a picture of them. Turns out, every figure was there, plus a few extra. So I asked her to change the price from $185+$35 shipping, to $220 with free shipping so I could maximize the coupon. I ended up paying $213.20 after tax, plus $22 in eBay bucks back. I broke down and inventoried everything over the last couple days, and all 3 UCS sets were complete. It also included a complete (less minifigures) Ecto 1 and a Snowspeeder Microfighter.7 points

It's more just something for this show. I think there are many Mandalorians that are no longer from the original Mandalore bloodline (foundlings). They are found and raised as Mandalorians,. They are trying to raise their ranks again and it maintains their anonymity and makes people think that there might still be blood pure Mandalorians out there, although it's more just a lifestyle now.3 points

10% off Target GiftCards only on Sunday Dec 8th $300 max per household See page 5 of the weekly add linked below https://weeklyad.target.com/promotions?code=Target-20191201&page=R&clkid=62d2fddbN037641e67abaef9e762985d6&lnm=360518&afid=Slickdeals_LLC&ref=tgt_adv_xasd0002 This is a big deal in that the last few times stores literally went out of stock on the plastic cards (be sure to get the designs you want days before the sale and activate later). For folks w/ Redcard experience, if we use our Redcard, I'm thinking we don't get the additional 5%. right? Also tracking wise the $300 cap would be a hard cap.2 points

Thanks to bricklondons info, im back from the dead! A lot of the brave souls who were banned in years past can now revive on lego.com. The hoard is back in full stength! Ironically i was banned at target recently though so a little give and take. And thankfully walmart and amazon has clearly defined limits now.2 points

From a reseller perspective I agree. But from the LEGO fan in me, I’m always excited to hear about the next modular. The buildings are unique, and they are themed well. The speculation is fun, and even if the rumors are correct, what I imagine is never as cool as what they come up with. With the endless redos of police, fire and Star Wars, the yearly modular is always nice for it’s ability to stand on its own.2 points

I've ordered from them five or six times. They're legit, just be wary of the box description. They sell "brand new" and "like new" and "Damaged Boxes." The damaged boxes and brand new are as they're described, the "like new" are essentially without a box with bricks stuffed into a ziplock bag. They do a mix of brand new and refurb products. I've bought most of my Ryobi and Dewalt tools from them listed as "Grade A" refurbished, when they were actually just damaged boxes.1 point

It is going to depend on what FC it goes to. If it is close by and not a distribution center you will be good for quite a while yet. The center we use for oversize Lego gets delivered in 1 business day and they usually receive it same day or next day. For a distribution center then it could remain backordered for 1-2 weeks, maybe longer this time of year.1 point

for certain zoning, smartpost is cheaper. You just have to do the comparison on ebay and you might be surprised by the difference. once again, smartpost takes longer time but in my experience most of my packages were delivered within 6 biz days1 point
-
for large package, I sometimes also consider fed smart post depending on the zoning, but it takes longer time to deliver. if buyer's address is paypal confirmed, you should be fine regardless which shipping method you are using. As long as the tracking shows delivered, you are covered by the seller protection for any non-defective claim.1 point

About 5x as many. Granted it is on for 18 days or so instead of 4. Yeah it should level out in that range towards the end. Similar to the present last year.1 point

If anyone is in the Charlotte NC area, the SouthPark LEGO store still has lots of the clearance sets in stock - Parisian, Carousel, Hulkbuster, NJ City, Docks, etc. And someone was buying a Batmobile and got the mini set - i thought those were long gone but you can call store to confirm.1 point

My apologies. I read your initial comment about "his birth heritage or something of an identity crisis." as you thinking he wasn''t a real Mandalorian or was still trying to prove himself as one. More Mandalorian and sooner? Sounds good to me!1 point

It's 50% off the current selling/retail price, not the set's original retail price. For example, take 10224 Town Hall where the current Amazon price is $650 while the original retail price was $200 so a buyer paying 50% is $325. If the seller bought at retail, he's still profiting by $125. Obviously, originally buying on sale at less than retail is ideal. The OP has a number of sets that have tripled in price so he can still turn a decent profit by selling at 50% off current retail. I doubt he will be losing money. Just depends on how soon he wants to sell and how.1 point

Investors, I don't often chime in on here anymore to give my two cents (think it's been since like 2014) but one of the things Ed just said is super important and not factored in enough by your average collector/investor. Lego sets don't always appreciate. There is a sweet spot to sell, Ed and several other vendors we've worked with have missed that sweet spot on some of their items in their collections/while also allowing condition to slowly worsen on older items. It is very very hard to properly maintain and store items for 5-10+ years and keep them in decent condition. Seals are not meant to last forever, especially on larger sets with 25+ pounds of weight pressure on them. Watch how you stack things, even on shelves. Never palletize for long periods of time. Don't sit on vintage Star Wars sets for 20 years. also what are you talking about Ed, no one flips that fast1 point

In addition to the consignment option, there are a number of folks on here who buy large lots outright. I've done four sizeable deals over the last year and know of at least five or six others that other people here have done.1 point

I have worked with a large online reseller and have had success selling off thousands of sets on a consignment basis. If you interested, please feel free to contact me and I will let you know the specifics.1 point

Have that same tool from Uline.ca = Useless... it's basically just a pinking wheel on a stick. Soo much faster & easier to use a boxblade to cut the 4 corners up from your chosen depth and simply fold the sides over the edge of the table.1 point

Slightly over a year ago I posted this: After this interaction he moved off to a different route and I stopped seeing him. About five months ago I bought my first house (yay me!). Moved about 10 miles away in the same town. Today, I swung by my house during lunch to finish up a shipment and grab the 40 boxes scheduled for delivery. As I'm loading my truck... THE SAME UPS GUY PULLS UP ?? He doesn't say anything to me (like usual after the incident). So I broke the ice by saying, "Are you stalking me?" His dead pan face immediately turned into one of rage.1 point
