6860 brought me out of the dark ages. My wife picked it up on clearance at Walmart and we gave it to my son as a gift when he was 3 or 4. I probably built this at least 5 times and we lost Batman and Robin numerous times. I still have our loose copy and a sealed one for him in cold storage.

Some of the rug stickers weren't lining up, misaligned. Seems like most regular consumers won't care. Doesn't seem like a reason to drop it $100 though. I bought it for 25% off from the disney store with a unique birthday coupon they sent me. Considering the castle pretty much has never been on sale I thought it was the best I would ever get. I will be surprised to see if it goes 30% off but I guess we have good sources.

I see Amazon is just starting to drop more stuff to at least 30% off, there have been a dozen sets drop in the last hour alone.

That would be biting the hand that feeds them, or whatever the opposite of that is. Now they are going to double dip on every set as they will get money from the original purchase plus comms every time the set or the parts are resold plus they have all the customer data. If they had wanted to eliminate resellers entirely, they could and would have done so by now. What I think is they are now going to draw up the rules of engagement and enforce stricter criteria e.g. weeding out undesirable sellers, establishing maximum selling prices, eliminating custom items that do not fit in with TLG philosophy and seeing which sets or parts they should remake due to demand.

This may all change soon. My company just finished a project with Target to allow them to do "Buy Online, Ship from Store". They will now be using their stores as fulfillment centers to ship from. Our algorithm will route the online order to the store with the "most remaining day sales" (most overstocked). The idea is to balance the stock to avoid markdowns. More and more stores will be using this technology/business process soon (maybe even Lego)- wondering if this will change how you guys treasure hunt stores?

Better than when we got no good sales & an advent calendar as our GWP from a couple of years ago.
