  1. i spent $5200K spread out over 17 orders. small orders. large orders - 20x hospitals in 1 order. i was ordering a lot early on. i put my last orders in this morning. everything has shipped. quicker than i've ever seen target ship before. i got $10 in circle benefits back which i was prompted to use on an order this morning so i did. then i got an email with a coupon for an extra 10% off any one item instore on top of 5% red card. i think i want to have a baby with target.

  2. i am not part of the liquidating crew. my wife would be pi$$ed if that lego cash flow stopped funding her SEP IRA. based on my online toilet paper and lego purchase history, i think target assumes i run an orphanage or wizard academy which is why i am getting a pass on the whole Circle thing.

  4. Is it? Or is this LEGO's way of saying "more are coming, you have no idea" ???

  5. UPS driver left me a nice pile of boxes this morning before I left for work. Said he would be back later. Unpacked a pile of them and put them on the impromptu shelves my toddler and I put on the wall in the laundry room yesterday in anticipation that these would actually ship. Walls have drylock paint and have never had water issues, but I put some plastic behind the shelves just as an extra precaution. Stuff will make it to the main area once the Amazon shipment for Christmas goes out. The best part is my wife believed me when I told her she could have the shelves as soon as these move to the main storage shelves. Lego never loses territory once it is annexed.

  6. Neat set. Good price. I'm not buying any LM2 sets for investment.

  7. Damn you. I've resisted this all day, but I've been wanting that Mera minifig and the new Black Manta. You had to remind me it was a Target exclusive.

  17. Don't know if it's still going as strong as it was when I parted out four during the summer WM clearance, but I pulled $25-$30 each for the Bachelor Batman figs alone, on eBay. Sold the Celestes at $12 each, too. Not much use if you're not looking to part out, but.. the value is (or... was) there. Walked away with lots of BL fodder for a penny or two on the brick.

  18. No. They'll be around next year. Three have a date of July 2020 and the other three December 2020. That's all I can say.

  19. My local Big W does the same - and they confirmed it was for loss prevention.

  20. just went to my local Big W and asked if they had any big Lego sets out back not on the display, she returned with a y-wing UCS 75181 @ $200. So its still worth doing apparently because Big W Online says they dont have it. Worth a try. I did this a while back last year and picked up Ghostbusters Fire House for $200. Going to see what happens at another Big W tomorrow. For some reason my Big W store all there large sets out back (shoplifting prevention?) and when a set sells out online they seem to forget about them.

  23. Good sets? Depends. I've found that the sets that disappear the fastest aren't necessarily always the best sets for investment. Many of them will be vastly hoarded suppressing the price for a while. Sent from my SM-N975U using Brickpicker Forum mobile app

  25. Yeah, I'm not sure why it wouldn't be a good investment, but it all depends on buy in cost. They were just on sale for $80 (maybe still are, I'm not sure). For that price, I don't see why it's not a good investment?

  31. Went to China twice this year, was in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Xiamen, and Hangzhou. For Lego go to Shanghai and look for the 80101 and 80102 New Year sets, they had both in stock when I was there end of August (they are only sold in Asia). Easist Lego store to find is near People's Square metro stop, walk along Nanjing Road east back towards the big river. The other store is at enterance to Shanghai Disney, but smaller. See the Bund (locals call it Waitan), the river walk in central Shanghai, closest metro stop is Nanjing Road East, one stop east of Peoples Square, so easy to both Lego store and the Bund. Great views, especially at night. Metro is easy to use, hardest part is buying a metro card or ticket, machines sell tickets, but see a booth with a person to get a card (20 Yuan plus whatever you load on it, 40 Yuan should do, so about $9). You are also close to Hangzhou, go walk around the West Lake, very pretty if it's not raining. Buy your train tickets in advance if you can, the high speed trains sell out 1-2 days ahead and all that is left if the slow trains. To enter the main train stations you have show a passort, and they will scan your baggage entering every train/metro station. China was one of the toughest places for me to visit (been to 36 countries) because of the language barrier and Google maps doesn't work well. If you have a local to guide or escort you it's a lot easier. This site is full of great info: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/

  35. why don't you check out the TRU in China, I think they are still around over there right? So bricktober sets may be? also you can take the high speed train to Shanghai, a pretty bad ass city, I think Suzhou and Shanghai are close. Shanghai is worth checking out.

  37. All of mine were insta-cancelled, which has been happening since the last $10 gift card with $50 purchase sale. I placed four total orders, totaling 8 Hospitals and 8 Indoraptors. Nothing major by any means and certainly nothing that would raise a red flag, especially compared to others’ large orders. I called CS right away and couldn’t get an answer. I was very polite and patient, but they kept sending me up the chain of supervisors. Nobody would give me an answer as to why my online orders get cancelled instantly for “technical reasons” according to the cancellation email. Keep in mind that my red card works perfectly fine in store. The third supervisor up the chain asked me to call back in a few hours (it was 630am central time on a Sunday when I called) when the next person in the chain would be in. I never called back. After the call I added my wife’s name onto my account and placed orders in her name (same account # & shipping address). All of them went through and I’ve received shipping confirmations. 8 Hospitals & 8 Indoraptors are on the way. I don’t know how my name has specifically been blacklisted and not my account # or address. It’s weird. Walmart does the same thing to me once in awhile. Sometimes my orders go through, and sometimes they get insta-cancelled. There is no rhyme or reason to it. It doesn’t matter how large or small the order is. I never buy more than 3-4 of any set in the same order any more. Those of you placing huge orders, be careful, and enjoy it while it lasts. You’re playing with fire in my opinion.
