  3. Yeah, I think they are putting RRPs up on everything to give "bigger" discounts as suggested by Jangbricks.

  5. Was at the local LHS today and was informed by the manager that 40272 (witch) and 40351 (ghost) are technically retired already. They have not had either in over two weeks and will not be getting more. Also was told 21319 (central perk) has only been sold out because they did not make very many initially, but they have been told they are manufacturing more and expect weekly shipments. So sounds like after this initial price jump for resellers, it will come back down toward RRP once they finish manufacturing more.

  8. Finally got my Carousel from Amzn exactly 1 month after their $129.99 sale. Chose frustration free and the set is in original LEGO outer box, mailed with just enough craft paper in Amazon box.

  10. Grabbed this lot on EBay the other day for my Train collection. Was listed at $99.99 but main pic only showed 7897 (description mentioned both trains). Seem pretty complete, including working RC base, motor and 9V light, and full PF setup (IR receiver, batterybox and motor). Minifigs and accessories included as well, except for the little platform builds. Loads of track, unfortunately mostly curves and flex track. Used an airmiles GC and my remaining EBay Bucks to pay $30 after shipping and tax.

  15. There are two different buy boxes: national and regional. National buy box goes to the lowest price seller. If two sellers are tied for lowest price buy box goes to the seller with the lowest amount of NCX orders (absolute, not rate which is ludicrous - but hey this is Amazon). The national buy box is shown to buyers who are not prime members, or prime member buyers who are not logged into their accounts. Regional buy box goes to sellers with stock within same day / 1 day range of a prime buyer who is logged into their account. Regional buy box is won using the formula above. If you have stock in FBA in areas with no competition then no you do not need to be the lowest on a national level to win that regional buy box. But if you have any competition in that region, or want the national buy box then you must be the lowest or have the lowest amount of NCX orders if you are price matching. Make sure to test using different IP addresses across the country and also logging into and out of various buyer accounts to see the bigger picture. This is all assuming FBA vs FBA. FBA will win against FBM with higher prices (margin depends on the category).

  16. Went to China twice this year, was in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Xiamen, and Hangzhou. For Lego go to Shanghai and look for the 80101 and 80102 New Year sets, they had both in stock when I was there end of August (they are only sold in Asia). Easist Lego store to find is near People's Square metro stop, walk along Nanjing Road east back towards the big river. The other store is at enterance to Shanghai Disney, but smaller. See the Bund (locals call it Waitan), the river walk in central Shanghai, closest metro stop is Nanjing Road East, one stop east of Peoples Square, so easy to both Lego store and the Bund. Great views, especially at night. Metro is easy to use, hardest part is buying a metro card or ticket, machines sell tickets, but see a booth with a person to get a card (20 Yuan plus whatever you load on it, 40 Yuan should do, so about $9). You are also close to Hangzhou, go walk around the West Lake, very pretty if it's not raining. Buy your train tickets in advance if you can, the high speed trains sell out 1-2 days ahead and all that is left if the slow trains. To enter the main train stations you have show a passort, and they will scan your baggage entering every train/metro station. China was one of the toughest places for me to visit (been to 36 countries) because of the language barrier and Google maps doesn't work well. If you have a local to guide or escort you it's a lot easier. This site is full of great info: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/
