  4. Grabbed this lot on EBay the other day for my Train collection. Was listed at $99.99 but main pic only showed 7897 (description mentioned both trains). Seem pretty complete, including working RC base, motor and 9V light, and full PF setup (IR receiver, batterybox and motor). Minifigs and accessories included as well, except for the little platform builds. Loads of track, unfortunately mostly curves and flex track. Used an airmiles GC and my remaining EBay Bucks to pay $30 after shipping and tax.

  5. To be fair, it is marked OOS at S@H. Anything with OOS sign is fair game in the retiring soon SPECULATION thread.

  6. There are two different buy boxes: national and regional. National buy box goes to the lowest price seller. If two sellers are tied for lowest price buy box goes to the seller with the lowest amount of NCX orders (absolute, not rate which is ludicrous - but hey this is Amazon). The national buy box is shown to buyers who are not prime members, or prime member buyers who are not logged into their accounts. Regional buy box goes to sellers with stock within same day / 1 day range of a prime buyer who is logged into their account. Regional buy box is won using the formula above. If you have stock in FBA in areas with no competition then no you do not need to be the lowest on a national level to win that regional buy box. But if you have any competition in that region, or want the national buy box then you must be the lowest or have the lowest amount of NCX orders if you are price matching. Make sure to test using different IP addresses across the country and also logging into and out of various buyer accounts to see the bigger picture. This is all assuming FBA vs FBA. FBA will win against FBM with higher prices (margin depends on the category).

  13. Looks like Kmart has reestablished the vendor relationship with LEGO. Tons of brand new sets just flooded Kmart.com and many are now available for store pickup, which means they're in store as well. Gravy train keeps chugging along.

  15. Not sure what this means, but I just received my 21317 from LEGO SaH today and the set has the printing error of saying #024 instead of CORRECTLY showing #025. I am guessing that LEGO must have made a TON of these sets when it got released and only noticed the error after they had made thousands of the wrong one. I was looking at all the eBay listings and all of them show the error. I don't even know if a box WITHOUT the error even exists. Instead of the error box, being worth a lot of money it could just be that the box that accurately displays the #025 could be worth some serious cash, just speculating.

  16. I appreciate the effort and have been talking about a similar type of set for years, but LEGO dropped the ball. This could have been an entire theme, with more complex, individually packaged dinosaur models, with little UCS plaques for each. It could have been a truly collectible theme.

  18. Valid criticism. IDEAS sets like this get a criticism-free pass from me because they are so catalytic in wedging science jumping-off points into a free-time landscape dominated by Minecraft & Fortnite. This is a rare commodity in a parent's arsenal.
