Picked up this lot on Craigslist for $40 Ended up containing: 8039 Venator Star Destroyer, 6212 - X-Wing, 8018 - AAT, 7754 - Home One, 8017 - Darth Vader's Tie Fighter, 8036 - Separatist Shuttle, 21002 - Empire State Building, 41171 - Baby Wind Dragon. Most of these sets were complete in the bags. Took barely an hour to build them all. A-Wing windshield was eaten by someone's dog. Otherwise, everything seemed to be there including figures. Resold the large box of random stuff for $100 the next morning on Facebook after browsing it to see if there was anything worth the trouble... there was not. So in the end I made $60, and got 9 sets, being the pass through for a large box of miscellaneous blocks.11 points

It was recently explained to me that Arrested Development was a show about dumb people made for smart people, whereas Big Bang Theory was a show about smart people made for dumb people.2 points

Brent Waller, a local in my parts and the guy who designed 21108 has hit 10k on his 25th anniversary Seinfeld set. Dont think it will make the 25th Anniversary but it might be made next year. Now that is a good show. Friends was pretty asinine.2 points

no doubt. they're my idol. you forgot about the part of milking subsidized shipping off of ebay while simultaneously pocketing the amazon fbm shipping credit. pure gold jerry.2 points

Friends was for people who wish they had friends like those on the show. Seinfeld was for people who already had friends like those on the show.1 point

Let's face it. Toycentric has the best business models. No inventory and Amzn feedback stays on the upper 80s despite hundreds of negs1 point

So this was my 2nd trip to Legoland (Ca), but I didn;t get a chance to go in the last time. We also did Brick O Treat, BTW, which was lame. Initially it felt like Nirvana from an AFol perspective in terms of seeing all the sets on shelves with many of new premier sets on display. But once i started seeing the prices it was more of a meh from a reseller's perspective...I didn't want to get in trouble so I purposely did not bring my wallet...once the boy heard that he spent most of his time reading LEGO books. I mainly focused on trying to see what TOOS sets I could find and really the only one that caught my eye was UCS Hulkbuster. Saw plenty of BHz LAdy Liberty, but I didn't see the TV Series Friends set. The whole epxerience was like looking at a comprehensive LEGO catalogue of current sets but "live", nice to see the actual boxes. It's also kinda weird that the store does not treat any of the "big sets" like the MF or Star Destroyer any more differently than their $20 sets...just sitting on the shelf...no hoopla. The store showcased the Hidden something series (close to Halloween) and Disney castle and train sets. I walked away being impressed w/ the Jurrasic PArk UCS T-Rex (great display item), Mars Rocket transport (boy's Christmas Present), Technic Range Rover (Big heavy box) and the Disney Train set1 point

I work for an AMZ reseller and I LITERALLY sent him an email about 2 hours ago saying I need more of these, oh I just can't get enough. Sold these 2 LEGO 40346(LEGOLAND park set) to him so you should see those up on AMZ soon for $3001 point

As a best practice when I look to gather information about any set I like to go to the music department. Their computer screens are more customer friendly & you can see all warehouse inventory levels in the bottom center of the screen.1 point

Picked up a goodwill lot - 3.5 lbs sealed bags. I had a gut feeling what it was and got it under $40. Ended up being a complete Brick Bank (minus base plate) + one extra sealed bag (not sure what it goes to). I picked up the instructions and stickers from bricklink (new, <$5 incl shipping) and I have a new base plate in my inventory ($5).1 point

Just a heads up if you also sell internationally on the Mexico amazon platform. Starting a few weeks ago you can go to a seller's storefront on that platform and the website displays the store owners USA name (or LLC name), address, and phone numbers. Brands and companies hired by brands have been using this info to send cease and desist letters, serve lawsuits etc as alot of US sellers also sell globally on Mexico. I don't see a way around this so we pulled all of our Mexico listings and are sticking to the USA and Canada for now.1 point

Well I just tried to create a listing for an EU version of a LEGO set that wasn't in Amazon's catalog already and failed miserably. I thought everything was good as the product initially successfully listed, but now the listing is showing as "INVALID_ASIN - This item must be removed. - and it won't let me convert it to FBA. If anybody knows any workarounds, let me know. PM me as I'm willing to pay someone to get some EU versions of sets listed. How does ToyCentric get all his alternate EU listings up? Do you all think it was the EU set EAN number that was the issue?1 point

Just do the pesticide training module . Takes about 40 min but saves you a lot of grief and frustration down the road. .1 point

Sniped this one a couple weeks ago figuring my hopes of finding a sub $200 Cafe Corner were going to come down to buying it in pieces. Since some of the rarest pieces are the red slopes, this listing looked promising. For $33.50 it came with all the slopes, with a few extra to spare. After looking through my spares at home, I have nearly all the brown pieces... so the majority of two floors were taken care of. But that didn't account for the rest of the rare pieces, which include the very expensive doors and dark blue poles. Then this listing appears while rocking the youngest to sleep. It includes the entire first floor and all those pesky blue parts and doors (as well as a few other sets). I think this is about as close to a sub $200 Cafe Corner as I'm gonna find. I grabbed the manuals around a year ago in a large instruction lot and have debated selling them, but now they will be used to finish off the modular collection.1 point

I have not bought the Jasmine Disney series 2 minifigure yet because she has eluded my smooshing attempts, resulting in only having 17 out of 18 of them. Oh, how I long to find her bird to identify I have the right minifigure. I seem to be going down a deep and dark place, especially after re-reading my last sentence. The first part of getting help is admitting one has a problem….Smooshing can make one feel odd and different. I get the feeling somebody is watching me… From the Rockwell song: “I always feel like somebody's watching me And I have no privacy (oh oh oh) I always feel like somebody's watching me Tell me, is it just a dream”1 point
