  1. Picked up a goodwill lot - 3.5 lbs sealed bags. I had a gut feeling what it was and got it under $40. Ended up being a complete Brick Bank (minus base plate) + one extra sealed bag (not sure what it goes to). I picked up the instructions and stickers from bricklink (new, <$5 incl shipping) and I have a new base plate in my inventory ($5).

  3. Thank you NH/MA BPers for not doing your job. I might have left some scraps behind.

  4. Toy Story 4 are essentially all Juniors sets. The last movie Juniors wave that I can remember was the Incredibles, which lasted 7-12 months before retirement according to Brickset. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see some of these die off by the end of the year, with a couple stragglers finishing off in early 2020. On the other hand, the Juniors Jurassic World line has overstayed its welcome. But I foresee Toy Story following the Incredibles pattern.

  7. Not really a fruitcake but... im buying four funko pops from one seller. I asked if they would give a shipping discount. i figure shipping one costs about $4 and shipping all four together would cost about $9 so they’re saving about $7. i literally would’ve been happy with a $1 discount. they weren’t rude, but simply said they don’t offer discounts. Now, just out of spite, i think i’m going to order all four on different days so they ship separately. If i’m not getting any savings, neither is the seller! that’ll show ‘em

  8. Great finds! Getting the manuals was a great stroke of luck - the price of them is insane. I was also fortunate enough to get a Cafe Corner for way below market rate. Not quite that cheap but still only paid £230 on eBay including instructions and about £30 to get missing figs / bits. When mine arrived, the instruction booklets were stuck together with masking tape (you can imagine my horror, given that they are worth £150+ seemingly)! Fortunately, with a hot lamp and a lot of patience I was able to remove it without ripping them.

  9. Post office? Is there a line out the door of elderly patrons, a disgruntled worker cutting the lawn using a refurbished garage sale Toro, a soccer mom strutting in with yoga pants and Etsy packages followed by a beat-down middle aged man with a stack of eBay packages and all the workers on break in the back vaping? 10. AFAIK neither UCS MF nor Chiron are retiring soon. There is a new supercar next summer and no way is the Falcon done yet, it´s a cash cow.

  12. Sniped this one a couple weeks ago figuring my hopes of finding a sub $200 Cafe Corner were going to come down to buying it in pieces. Since some of the rarest pieces are the red slopes, this listing looked promising. For $33.50 it came with all the slopes, with a few extra to spare. After looking through my spares at home, I have nearly all the brown pieces... so the majority of two floors were taken care of. But that didn't account for the rest of the rare pieces, which include the very expensive doors and dark blue poles. Then this listing appears while rocking the youngest to sleep. It includes the entire first floor and all those pesky blue parts and doors (as well as a few other sets). I think this is about as close to a sub $200 Cafe Corner as I'm gonna find. I grabbed the manuals around a year ago in a large instruction lot and have debated selling them, but now they will be used to finish off the modular collection.
