  1. Pirate Bay is one of my favorite websites. Never imagined it would be a Lego set.

  2. For those who are interested, I posted before on 10257 to be retired 0n 31 Dec 2020, it seems that the date has been revised to 31 Dec 2019 instead.

  4. He's confident for a reason. Question is which ones of those will actually dry up. Retirement means a lot less since last year and can guarantee it will be worse this year. 10259, 76100, 75190, 10214 are good examples. All retired last year. 2 LEGO marked retired but have been available all year and 2 LEGO still is selling themselves along with others cause they have so much excess stock. Amazon still sitting on 967 Winter Stations in late Sept. There are more sets but those are just a few examples. LEGO has been having a habit of dumping the last unsold batches to random retailers in large quantities last few years so probably see more of that and then the ones really oversaturated will still be available at multiple retailers even though they aren't in production anymore.

  7. 75105 has 2-3 exclusive minifigures: 1) Old Han Solo, 2) the Kanjiklub leader (Tasu Leech) and 3) kanjiklub member. 7965 exclusives are: Luke, Leia, Ben, and Han. Not sure about the older ones.

  11. This thread stresses me out more than the bubble thread. At least in the bubble thread we all know where we are going.... Hint: We all float down here

  14. of course he seems confident. no one would believe chunhengpang if he said, "Well guys i think prolly all these might/should be retired by 31 Dec 2019." every year some mysterious low-post # member comes through with a list that is 90-100% accurate. then we get the riddle and we know where to spend.

  18. The bots are out of control. I had 4 Lego listings get hit this week, one of them (Crater Creeper) became unsellable because the bot thought something with the name Creeper in it must be related to pesticides. Atleast that one they fixed after opening a case. The other 3 listings they just removed, I sent receipts from Lego.com (only place you could buy them) to try and reinstate 2 of them but the receipts are old and they want proof of purchase that was issued in the last year. Pretty hard to do on stuff that's been discontinued for 3+ years. The 4th listing got taken down just yesterday Nexo Knights Stone Monsters Accessory set 853677 and I'm not even going to try fighting it, there were only a half dozen or so sellers so It'll probably just disappear from Amazon forevermore. It was only released in 2017 it's the first relatively new set that I've had problems with, perhaps a prelude to the fun that awaits in 2020.

  19. Love these choices - all three of them! Clearly Lego has gotten very comfortable with the larger Ideas sets. Sesame Street will be gold after EOL, though I do wish that they could do a new mold for Big Bird's head. High hopes for Pirate Bay as well, as I see this having a similar audience as OFS (doing well) and the Treehouse (will do well).

  22. To me the problem is they want to change eBay to be like Amazon. That is a losing battle long term. They should have emphasized and improved eBay's unique strengths so it will stand a chance to compete vs Amazon. Not sure if the new board share my sentiments though

  26. 2 of 6 carousels from AMZ arrived with labels slapped all over the sides and bare hugged in shipping tape. I ordered two sets of three and they shipped two individually naked. This is a first time for me ... I’ve had success with frustration free in the past but will be more cautious going forward. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
