Sniped this one a couple weeks ago figuring my hopes of finding a sub $200 Cafe Corner were going to come down to buying it in pieces. Since some of the rarest pieces are the red slopes, this listing looked promising. For $33.50 it came with all the slopes, with a few extra to spare. After looking through my spares at home, I have nearly all the brown pieces... so the majority of two floors were taken care of. But that didn't account for the rest of the rare pieces, which include the very expensive doors and dark blue poles. Then this listing appears while rocking the youngest to sleep. It includes the entire first floor and all those pesky blue parts and doors (as well as a few other sets). I think this is about as close to a sub $200 Cafe Corner as I'm gonna find. I grabbed the manuals around a year ago in a large instruction lot and have debated selling them, but now they will be used to finish off the modular collection.6 points

What did I do this month? HMMM... Gave my job notice and left my job Sept. 13th. Had a farewell luncheon and leaving after six years. Spent 5 days packing up everything in my apartment and getting rid of many things. I am now the King of Boxes. So many sets...oh dear sweet God. Shipped tons of boxes to my parents' house. They're not amused. At all. Shipped tons of boxes to my new apartment. My wife is slightly amused... Still can't feel my finger tips due to all the taping and packing. Anyone been through this before? Multiple trips to FedEx and USPS to ship stuff because it was cheaper than moving 2,000 miles with a truck, multiple stops and sleeping nights, gas requirements, and food. Didn't take any furniture or gave it all away so it made more sense. Got a new job and starting it October 1. Farewell, New England! Hello, Mountains!5 points

Two complaints for the price of one: 1. EBay sending everyone a Mastercard debit card via the mail at the end of October. Why? No clue. You can go to https://www.PayPal.com/NoThanks to disable this, but you need to do this for every account you have. 2. Amazon FBA warehouse LBG7 is holding one of my boxes hostage since 9/12. Been at "delivered" since that day, but no inventory has been added. Lazy Californians!1 point

Dymo 4XL is worth every penny. I've probably printed well over 20,000 labels on one. I think @Foreman Porgy's experience is atypical. Best thing is that it will do international labels with the integrated CN22 form if you use Endicia or other service. And FedEx labels if ou do more than just USPS.1 point

Finally finished Welcome to Apocalypseburg (70840), I held myself to one bag per day since it arrived from Walmart. Also had my first wrong/missing piece in a Lego set. But I've already got an order in for a replacement. 6258376 - LEFT SHELL 3X8X2 W/BOW/ANGLE. My almost three year old daughter thinks it's very cool and helped me finish it today, then an hour or so later crashed down onto it so I got to rebuild a section of it already. It was the Lego Movies and having a kid that brought me out of my dark ages so it's appropriate that this is the first really big set I've gotten. I really like the movie sets and vehicles because they are made to be Lego rather than adapting something from Star Wars or Marvel, this one is no exception.1 point

The printed tile is cute but I will agree had they instead used the current infant design colored and printed looking like a gingerbread toddler would have better (even without the cookie shaped head). Perhaps I am being shallow and pedantic here however I am not sure I could consider a printed tile as a "figure" adorable as it is.1 point

Even more annoying how LEGO made an exact copy, artwork and all, of a set. I'm still dumbfounded that they did such a thing.1 point

i'd say yes - local sales are the way to go . i only have 2 left at $25 buyin so i may end up donating them. i think you get dinged by a whiny customer if you send it in the regular way. doubt you will move many on the secondary listing. one other option would be to send it in COLLECTIBLE - LIKE NEW - and then under the description list it as 41148 and probably might be able to sell it for $67-68 that way. very annoying how amazon mucked up the listing for the old and new sets.1 point

Nothing on Amazon is a glitch? That's funny dude...you obviously have never worked in a large corporation that relies heavily on technology.1 point

I built the 487 Space Cruiser after getting many of the parts from BrickLink, minus the pieces such as the LL924 bricks, the white arrow bricks, the forklift piece and Blue Slope with the classic space logo brick among other things, I was able salvage from my old set. It was a fun and nostalgic build that took me back to my childhood! The old pieces were faded from age and most of the replacements pieces are common parts that are fairly easy to find. I hope that I will be able to find the red and white space minifigures at BrickFair this weekend.1 point
