IMO, missing MFs on a LEGO set should be on the title...anything less is intentionally misleading. Return it.4 points

Finally finished Welcome to Apocalypseburg (70840), I held myself to one bag per day since it arrived from Walmart. Also had my first wrong/missing piece in a Lego set. But I've already got an order in for a replacement. 6258376 - LEFT SHELL 3X8X2 W/BOW/ANGLE. My almost three year old daughter thinks it's very cool and helped me finish it today, then an hour or so later crashed down onto it so I got to rebuild a section of it already. It was the Lego Movies and having a kid that brought me out of my dark ages so it's appropriate that this is the first really big set I've gotten. I really like the movie sets and vehicles because they are made to be Lego rather than adapting something from Star Wars or Marvel, this one is no exception.4 points

That's just a lazy loser no matter what the truth of their life is. If you can't afford something, then surprise, you cannot afford it. Maybe save the charity for the funeral he'll need from vaping... or whatever...1 point

yeah you never know how big or small they are. Last few years though they do seem to be large enough to cover initial release and then go through the year without needing to be replenished. Some of it is just purposely done too. Using the Castle as example they were fairly short early on yet the ones later on released had the same seals from early on so they were sitting somewhere. Central Perk on the other hand is oos until about mid October. One of the first ones in awhile they misjudged and didn't have enough to meet demands. Although I think everyone pretty much misjudged what it would do. Everything since probably the MF has been well stocked at initial release and most likely will be going forward unless one slips through the cracks. Every since China went online it's been hard to see any stock out at the beginning versus the exact opposite beforehand where almost everything stocked out. ISD was very slow in store off the get go. Most stores got 24-30 and first hour sales were in the 4-8 range at most.1 point

Ahhh - Target country 20% off the clearance prices. Should mean those 75201 (half an) AT-ST sets I saw last weekend will be down to $23.20 - not worth the drive.1 point

I think you are looking at a regular 2x2 turntable with a black base and an LBG top (part 3680c02). Which means the entire black part is mounted sideways and likely contains a brick modified 1x2 with 2 studs on one side to hold the wheel holder in place.1 point

Local LEGO mgr told me they maybe sell one BaCC every 2-3 weeks. They commented that the Tantive IV (NOT a UCS) is not selling well either. LEGO needs a totally new UCS set. Something that hasn't been done before. I suspect the UCS MF remake is the exception to the recent UCS sales only because the original resell price was so out-of-reach for the rest of us poor people.1 point

I could add 10,800 to my cart. A cool $135,000. But, I get free shipping, and world domination of 759871 point

This sentence describes the whole 2010's politics so far... But anyhow, back on topic. I think this is actually a good set for what it is, just way too expensive. I will get it at some discount.1 point

Similar to what happened with UCS Falcon then and clearly no coincidence. Lego deliberately restricting stock in the first few months to generate hype and sales at full RRP then flooding the market when the SAH exclusivity period ends.1 point

I don't know what you consider a lowball offer, but you are posting your collection for sale on a Lego reseller forum... The lot calculator is a nice tool for seeing if you can make a profit by buying someone else's collection, but I am almost positive that no one on here is going to offer you anywhere close to $3k for a collection of retired SW sets that have pretty much all climbed to their maximum resale value already... If you want to get the max amount out of your collection I suggest posting them on FB, OfferUp and Craigslist individually. Then for the sets that don't move locally put them up on Ebay. that's amazon's way of usually just slapping your shipping label onto lego's shipping box.1 point
